After years of development and growth, the Lagrange One colony, situated at the gravity neutral LG-1 point in between Earth and the Moon, has been granted limited independence by Medich's parliament. It was a close vote, with 34 delegates voting against, 11 abstaining, and 105 securing the necessary two-thirds majority.
Lagrange One had been campaigning for independence for years, being almost completely self-dependant, and able to sustain its existance in between worlds - which had always required the colonists to be a little more...adventureous than most people.
We can but wish them good luck, and hope that they don't soon forget the close ties they once had with their motherland of Medich.
