After a decade of claims of corruption inside the Big Long Now National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Big Long Now President Richard Evan has announced the rebuilding of the intelligence agency. Once located within the capitol of the nation, the NIA's main offices will be located on New Ellis Island about 30 miles west of the capitol. While preparation of the new 29,500 building's construction has begun, the official groundbreaking ceremony is to be held later next week, in which the President is rumored to be the official groundbreaker.

The NIA was created ninety-seven years ago to gather intelligence on 'potential enemy' nations, and to keep close watch on other nation's weapon stockpiles to analyze threat levels from potential enemies, along with BLN's own stockpile. Leads started coming in about ten years ago, when other agents told their superiors about intelligence agents swiping classified documents and possibly using them for profit, an operation which could put BLN at great risk from other nations. Four agents have since been convicted of espionage, and each are currently serving ten year prison sentences, but only one has a chance to parole within the next two years.
