Fragment Resources Stabilized: Future Looks Good!

08-03-2004, 17:34
After a recent hitting of a good quantity of oil on the Antarctican island borrowed from Shinoxia, and after the harvester has begun it's work in the Andes harvesting iron, The Iron Fragment suddenly finds it's main problem of lack of resources has dissappeared. While it had already improved in the past, the current amount is something which, to the mind of the A0-programs, who had always suffered of low resources, seems like a divine gift of some sort (NOTE: This is a figure of speech: The Iron Fragment is strictly agnostic).
The future now looks very good as the machines can now work more relaxingly on projects. While they had earlier dealt with buying weapons a good deal, they did not have the freedom that they now hold. There are, of course, nations with a distinctly more powerful economy than The Fragment currently, but this is not enough to stop from rejoicing. Already the thought of launching a probe into space is a serious idea and no longer humorous wishing (this program will, of course, not be the main concern of the nation).
To celebrate the sudden brightening of the future, a few crates of alcohol distilled from the local plants is being shipped for free to other nations in celebration (the chemical compound has been tested not to be hazardous to humans; also, the local man from a nearby island agreed it was "ok for wine"). Best of luck for the future of our nation!

OOC: Heh, I logged in today and found my economy (which I translate as resources) had jumped from Reasonable to Strong. This probably isn't shocking for a veteran NS-player, but I thought it would make a nifty IC post.
