Today, Her Majesty's Tagrian Government ordered the Royal Tagrian Navy to launch Operation "Firestorm" against drug smuggling along the Tagrian coastline. The operation was ordered in response to the countries growing crime problem fuelled by drugs including Cocaine and heroin.
The operation has however some notable critics, especially the nations Drugs legalisation Organisation, stating that it does not prevent drugs nor crime but merely delays it and does not really end the problem. A spokesperson stated that to end the problem the Government should legalise drugs use at safe locations.
The Government however has dismissed this opinion as morally irresponsible and decadent to such a degree. The Government also stated that it would also be considering reforming the Drugs Restrictions Act 1981 and considering increasing the p[enalties for those supplying drugs.
The Navy is expected to use 4 vessels in the operation.
