The military correspondent of Braxis V (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi/target=display_nation/nation=braxis_v), today gave a press release on the controversial, and much rumoured expansion of its nations arsenal. Sister nations Veebad and Signum have been said to disagree with its controversial growth, named "Project Multiplication".

Braxis V's John Tibor had this to say;
"We as a nation are well aware of the massive wars raging across the many lands of this planet, and in accordance to our defence scripture we must take any means necessary to keep potential enemies at bay. Therefore Braxis V will be increasing the amount of tank divisions it holds from seven to fifteen, along with a small increment in the amount of aircraft carriers to three. The two new carriers will be named "Peace" and "Insanity" which will accompany "Chaos" on the west cost of Esher."

Although not mentioned in the report, there has been much speculation to the construction of nuclear weaponry and WMD's by Braxis V, a prospect that many nations have already dismissed as a "Gross manipulation of the term Defence." Whether or not Braxis V harnesses such weaponry is yet to be seen.

Esher Broadcasting Company Follow up

After the recent outcry from it's neighbouring nations concerning the recent expansion of military hardware, the Military correspondent for Braxis V, John Tibor released yet another press statement for the public. The statement gave many specifications for vehicular and stationary defence squads, including the much rumoured 'Warbringer' class tank which utilises the latest in radar technology to deflect incoming missiles back at an approaching enemy. The Warbringer is also fitted with many other devices including a laser targeting scope, although its exact use is shrouded in mystery. Tibor fortunately reassured the public and the rest of the world that Braxis V "Has never produced, and are never planning to produce WMD's or Nuclear warheads."

In related news, Braxis V's two new aircraft carriers, "Peace" and "Insanity" have both joined "Chaos" on the west coast, each spread out by over 10,500 metres to cover as much coastline as possible. The pristine beaches have been closed for public use, and the construction of heavy bunkers has begun. Such preparations have been made because the sister nation of Turbians have said to have sent very threatening telegrams to Commander Reaper, leader of Braxis V. Reaper calls for allies in this time of need and is set to release an official statement if Turbians continues to threaten the peace.

Esher Broadcasting Company Special Report

Just minutes ago, Commander Reaper addressed his people from the high temple of Atlar concerning the increase of military hardware in his nation. The EBC sent Steven Lawrence to the hearing to find out more. Commander Reaper had this to say;

"Citizens of Braxis V,
We are indeed in a dire situation. Two sister nations in Esher have been developing over the past few years, growing in what seem to be a liberal anarchy. These places are ruled by lax leaders, allowing them to do whatever they may wish. This leads to heavy drug use and alcoholism, which leads to the eventual decline of our people as these dirty habits seep into our utopian nation.

I shall now give you our most respected military correspondent, John Tibor."


"Thank you Commander.
Reports show the decreasing importance of defence mechanisms in both nations concerned, these being the Theocracies of Signum and Carpetopia. Both are falling into economic decline, with the latter economy recently being described as a 'Basket Case'. Such nations cannot be allowed to co-exist with powerful dictatorships such as Hephlon and ourselves. As I speak, our aircraft carriers are moving along the coast to survey the enemies defences."

Although war has not been officially declared, the nations of Carpetopia and Signum are advised to be on full alert for any impending attack.

Following the preperation for war, Veebad made an announcement to his kingdom.

"People of my kingdom. As you may have heard on the Esher Broadcasting Centre, there may be a war about to start across our region. As of yet, we have no part in this war, but we may be called in to help The Dictatorship of Braxis V to eliminate The Theocracy of Signum.

We require people to step forwards, and defend the region from destruction. Tomorrow, we will be recruiting. We ask that anyone with any sort of weapons training, from ex-military to pizza delivery boys, to come along and sign up. Thank you."

The chance of war on The Theocracy of Signum and The Theocracy of Carpetonia is readily increasing on a daily basis. An emergency broadcast shall be made if war breaks out.

Master of the Turbians says,

Our country deep in the heart of Esher will not be recruiting for the war between Braxis V and Carpetonia and i therefore declare that we shall stay neutral unless any damage has been done to our empire. Unless any damage or loss of life to our people and we shall retaliate. Until then i bid good luck and in some instancies fairwell to the fighting nations.

In the early hours of the morning, Carpetonia packed up their bags, and moved to another region. There have been varied responses from citizens of The Kingdom of Veebad.

"I can't believe it! Our neighbouring nation packs up and leaves! Who will we hold for ransom now?" said local shop owner, Joe Tonder.

"Good riddance to the useless b*******! They were a stupid nation anyway" said MP David Oddle, whilst spitting on the floor.

Heeeeey, a TV crew! woooooooooooooo!"said drug addict Fred Derry from his parent's basement.

Updates shall be made on the other Nations reactions to this shocking news.

IDF member states would like to help VeeBad in anyway possible. We do not like the Bax V policy on alcohol being illegal (though our Cartel's love the black market profits).

So The IDF would like to Invite VeeBad and all it's drug addicts to our region.

Esher Broadcasting Company Report

The military correspondent of Braxis V today released a statement detailing the recent happenings in the region of Esher. This is what he had to say to our reporter, Susanna James at the news conference held in Atlar, in the heart of Braxis V.

"Our concern for the nation of Braxis has at long last paid off. The cowardly nation of Carpetopia has fled to the Krackin Empire to lick their wounds. Both nations of Veebad and HephlonV have agreed to join Braxis V in their war against the nations of anarchy and disorder. As we speak, Peace and Insanity are moving south to meet the aircraft carrier of chaos in the coastal area of Signum. No vehicles have been launched yet, as war has yet to be officially declared between our two nations, and alliances must be officially formed.

In this time of need, we ask both Veebad and HephlonV to join Commander Reaper in the National conference centre this Wednesday at 1300 hours sharp. If they accept such a request, an armoured escort will be provided to ferry them back and forth from the conference centre. Once more we thank our sister nations for the support they have provided both Braxis V and Esher as a whole."

I have heard about the region war and i am currently in dilemma between joining The Dictatorship of Braxis V, The Colony of HephlonV and The Kingdom of Veebad, or sitting at the side enjoying my popcorn, and maybe a coke.
