The Ambassador (Invite only RP)
Part one: the ambassador
A nervous man boarded his last flight. He was boarding a boeing 700, it looked like a normal plane, but in reality it was a weapon of mass destruction. His pupose was to enter SR, and make the impression of conducting negotiations until the time was ripe. then it would begin. He sat down in his seat and was fed lobster and other such delicasies, it was likely to be his last decent meal if everything went to plan. Of course, SR would assume that he was just a normal ambassador, and assume that there was nothing different about him than any other run of the mill ambassador. In reality he was an intelligence officer trained for killing. and killing is what he would do.
Part two: the civilians.
Stan and Amanda were rich people from Lapse, they were going touring around the world in their private Lear Jet. So far they had being to Dontgoneathere, Kurlej and Bobaria (OOC: note: not bubaria). They were now on there way to another nation that had had alot to do with Lapse in the past. they were going to SR. That was there cover story. In reality, they were highly trained sabotuers, and their lear jet was a utensil of mass death. They had toured the country, but they werent going to tour any more countries after SR.
Part three. The fishermen
The Galileo was an old fishing boat. It was approximatly 20 years old, and it showed its age. It had being purchased by the Lapse government off another nation at scrap prices, but it would die honorably. The ship had no markings, and no registration. Legally, it wasnt allowed in any countries waters. That was why it was in SR's territorial waters. It would soon come to the attention of the military, and they would take it away to their base, where it would serve its final purpose. A weapon was hidden into its metal hull, and this would kill many.
Part 4: The old man guy
Eldrode was an 80 year old man, he had seen alot in his life. soon he wouldnt see any more. Along time ago he had an operation in which he needed a metal rod put down his leg. now rather than a metal rod, it was a weapon. He was going to see his neice in SR, and he was going to kill many people.
Secret IC:
Back at Lapse, no body except the highest members of Lapse command new of the plan. the Huge space forces were getting positioned to attack SR from above when the word was given. Of course, If the government saw a different opportunity the word would not be called, the smuggled in weapons would not be activated and Nobody would know of the events. Of course, there could be countless problems with the plan, but in one descisive strike they should be able to take out a large proportion of the military as well as high council members.
OOC: This is closed for SR allys and Lapse allys.
OOC: Some of this might not seem relevant since Lapse screwed his post up. If it isn't, I'll edit it.
Part One: SR's Lockdown
Commander Dennis Alperton monitored the radar. "sir, hostile detected... it's a fishing boat. What do we do now sir?" Alperton leaned in close. "Dispatch a Striker squad to get over there and find out what the hell it's doing. Keep it far out of the range of SR Control... something isn't right..."
The SR troopers geared up for assault on the small boat.
Mr Shamsai stared at his latest SETI research. "Hello flying toasters... what do you have for me today?" He started at the jumping waves... and saw a peak. "huh?" He looked at it, wondering what the hell that was, when SR troopers escorted him out and a Government Man took his computer away. "I'm sorry Mr Shamsai, but in the interest of national security, we need this computer." "But it's mine! I could make contact with aliens!" "Ha, as if. Look kid, if we're shooting chilren's kytes out of the sky because we think they're evil people, what do you think we're going to do if we can shoot aliens out of the sky?" The GMan walked away, laughing.
Back at the SR Cabinet, Soldant was talking to a guy from Baking Soda, and the two chatted about recent events. Suddenly, the phone rang. "This is commander Soldant state... what? When? Yes, you did the right thing... what's this? Unidentified signal... Yes... yes... right... I'm off to BLACK... get the SR Cabinet down there right now... but don't cause a panic... just quietly get the military prepared. I'll talk to you more then." Soldant hung up the phone. He called Terra, Soda, Aevia, 40C, Berkir, everyone in between, and anyone else that was important. "Listen up people! Secuirty CASTLE. I say again, security CASTLE. Get going." Soldant sat down again. Soldant pressed the red button on his desk, and walked off to his chopper.
Part Three: SR's Martial Law.
The strange building's doors opened up and the streets were swarmed with Troopers hustling civilians inside to their homes. Tanks started to clog up traffic. The odd tank out and about didn't bother anyone, nor did the troopers patroling the streets, but when SR suddenly swamped the place with people something was wrong. Someone pushed the panic button.
When everyone was off the streets, SR troopers started re-activating buildings nobody knew had any purpose, and (the worst of all) all international traffic was now blocked. Checkpoints were now heavily fortified and inter-region travel was extremely difficult. Aircraft seemed to always be flying somewhere, as did the countless helicopters and other aircraft.
The TV channels now had one thing on them, Commander Richardson. "Citizens of SR, and outsiders. I am Commander Richardson, in charge of SR Security. I've said to you many times that SR was currently preparing for an assault from many people, but nobody believed it'd come to this. You've seen SR's military in the streets, got suck behind tanks and the like, and we're going to tell you right now that you're going to have to get used to it. As you know, you're all issued with a tracking device that is placed inside you, and visitors have a device they must wear at all times. This is exactly for this purpose, to ensure that no terrorism acts against SR occur. At the present point in time, SR Radar have detected an unidentified boat SR Waters. A Tactical Response unit are preparing to board the boat. We have also reason to believe that another nation from within Bristle, known as Kimo-something-or-other, have been trading information with Lapse, and may be planning a terrorist attack. What you are now required to do is prepare to be scanned. SR Troopers will be moving through your street ensuring you are where you're meant to be, and ensuring your tracking device is working properly. If you do not co-operate, you will be arrested and questioned. If you are found outside your designated area, which includes your home, designated traveling route, and your workplace, you will be issued an order to return to your home or work. If you are caught entering a SR military area, you will be shot on sight.
Visitors to SR Control will be sent to Neptune, the tourism part of SR. You will be held there and deported once SR deems it the right time. All visitors that have been born in, have some connection to, or have arrived from a nation which is currently considered an enemy of SR Control, will be searched. Let me stress this: no visitor may leave the city of Neptune. If you are found leaving the city of neptune, you will be arrested, and you will be shot if you are from any country known to be an enemy of SR. All political figures from international locations are to leave, excepting one diplomat who has just arrived.
So, stay in your homes, tune into the SR Announcment TV Station or SR Announcment Radio Station, and listen for instructions. if you are unsure what to do, ask your nearest SR Trooper or Officer. Thank you."
The SR Troopers moved around through the houses, checking all the tracking devices. Schoolchildren were tagged as well, and their home addresses entered into the database. It would take a while, but the civilian population would be scanned. Civilians already were scanned when the entered areas SR guarded carefully or areas which were deemed high risk for security, but this was added protection. The visitors city of Neptune was locked down tight, with no traffic bar Armored Transports carrying troops and supplies.
Part Four: TacRep Unit
Back at the Boat
The TacRep unit pulled alongside the fishing boat. The crew at the SR Radar tower and TacRep Co-Ordination building listened.
"This is Alpha... we're moving toward the target site."
"This is Bravo, we're moving toward the target."
"This is Charlie, we're providing cover for Alpha Bravo"
"This is the SS Nimitz, we're ready to fire."
"Rodger that team. Nimitz, hold your fire for the moment. Alpha Bravo, move in."
"This is alpha, copy."
"This is Bravo, copy."
The teams moved in, ready to take control of the boat.
"Damn It!" shouted Lord Time lapse, "group Charlie has gone in early and SR have spotted them" soon after recieving the tightband radio message from the fishing boat. "Order them to abandon agent T. Order them to use the safety we installed. This ius the time to press the cyan button."
Back at the boat
"Commander says to drop agent T with the cyan button." said a crewman on the boat.
"Damn, the government wont be happy, thats 10 billion dollars worth of stuff we are dropping." said the captain of the boat
"We broke the orders they say"
"We didnt, we were following instructions!"
"err.. when you heard the go, it was really staticy right?"
"correct"
"theres our problem, now lets dump agent T."
"Il give the orders around here"
"yes sir"
"Now dump agent T"
"yes sir."
the crew man scuttled off too press teh cyan button.
upon pressing the cyan button, a plate opened underneath the boat, agent T fell immediatly, it would be untraceble in the water. all evidence of assosiation with Lapse would be lost.
OOC: nations dont usually go into complete lockdown and full military alert after one fishing boat being in territorial waters...
OOC: Edited now that I know what's going on.
The SR TacRep unit noticed the boat was leaving.
"Um, this is Alpha... what the hell is that boat doing?"
"What the? Nimitz, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"
"Rodger that sir, Bravo?"
"Affirmative, what are they doing on deck?"
"This is charlie... what the?"
"Alpha and Bravo, keep moving in. Nobody is out of the woods yet. You know the drill, seize the crew."
"Rodger that, Alpha moving in."
"This is Bravo, blah blah blah..."
Alpha and Bravo scambled up the sides of the boat, but they both knew something was up.
"This is alpha, we're on the deck."
"This is Bravo, we're on the deck."
"This is charlie, holding short."
"All units take the crew via force. I say again, via force!"
Alpha and Bravo moved in.
OOC: The following are just radio messages, since I'm playing from the perspective of the TacRep base, not the troopers.
"This is alpha (fishermen scream) GET DOWN ON THE FLOOR! GET DOWN! Cuff em!"
"This is Bravo, moving into lower sections."
(screaming)
"This is Alpha, deck crew have been captured."
"Rodger that Alpha. Bravo, any information?"
"Negative. Nothing but fishing charts and general crap... seems like illegal fishing boat to me... wait... what the hell is this? This is Bravo, we've found some sort of release mechanism..."
"Rodger that. Alpha, keep crew hostage. Charlie, move in and take control of the boat."
"Rodger that, Charlie moving out!"
With the boat in SR hands, they would take it back and analyse it. The area was marked with a buoy to determine if anything had been dropped... it would be searched later.
OOC: sorry, i should have mentioned a few things:
1. agent T will just sink, not leaving bubbles
2. The boat didnt leave, and the crewpeople 'cant' speak english
3. even if it did leave and there were bubblkes it would just be from the motor.
Sorry, i should have made that more clear in my last post.

At Neptune, the largest foreigner-accomodating area in SR, Congressman Niriko Kohatsu stepped off of the immense Terran Diplomatic Blended-Wing Body Aircraft. Looking more like a stealth bomber than a passenger jet, the gigantic BWB was one of dozens owned by the government, a symbol of Ancient Terra's immense wealth and power. The huge black and green crest emblazoned on the top of the aircraft was as much a symbol of power as extravagence.
Congressman Kohatsu was head of Congress' Lapse-Threat Subcommittee, a team of analysists, military officers, and government people tasked with monitoring Lapse and reporting on the country's moves every week. It was an immense task, collecting the millions of bits of data gathered by Intelligence and collating it all into one cohesive report, but it was necessary. High in the sky, the four F-22 Raptor Fighters that had escorted the diplomatic aircraft screamed over the airport at Mach 1, wagged their wings as a sign of respect, and then began the short overseas flight back to Ancient Terra. To the right, a second BWB Jet was making its way towards a gate; this aircraft, however, was jet black and blue, the colors of Neo Garner.
Behind Congressman Kohatsu came 4 bodyguards, obviously members of TRIAD, the elite secret service that guarded the lives of Terra's leaders. They carried MP5K Submachine guns, and wielded them obviously, daring somebody to make an attempt on the Congressman's life. Several other men and women in business suits followed in their wake; minor analysts or aides for the subcommittee.
The Congressman and his entourage walked towards other men waiting on the edge of the tarmac, obviously representatives of the SR Government.
"Lapse must have already arrived." Kohatsu thought to himself, as he walked towards the men. When he reached them, he held out his hand.
"My name is Congressman Kohatsu, representative of the Terran Government during this conference. I'm pleased to meet you, Mr...?" he ended.
OOC: Tera: the ambassador never left Lapse because of the lockdown and group Charlie screwing up.
Ancient and Holy Terra

(ooc: Although I know that, Lapse, my ambassador doesn't know, he was in the air by the time the alert went up. This is just a shameless ploy to get a Terran official on the ground in SR, that can report any happenings; it's unlikely he'll be allowed to leave due to the security measures now.)
Ambassador Ecthelion tapped his fingers against his artificial bicep as gazed out upon the cityscape of the SR Capital. He had heard gunshots earlier and with that SR had dispatched more security to the embassy, a piece of armour was parked just outside the guilded gate of the front lot. "Interesting, and I thought SR was going to be a dull assignment." Ecthelion said to himself. The Ambassador turned towards his desk and to his suprise there was a man sitting in the guest chair, non-chalantly he saluted Ecthelion "Aye Commander, its been some time hasn't it?" Ecthelion's face was plain with shock "How did you get in here?", the figure responded "Commander, you should know me better than that. You may be interested in this sir." the man threw a burgundy portfolio on the desk, with that he stood and fixed himself a drink at the wet bar in the far corner of the office. Ambassador Ecthelion snorted and spoke "Thanos..." and with that the man laughed "Well Im glad you know who Iam Commander Ecthelion, Special Officer Thanos Oldrin...though I dont recall we have ever met. You do your homework I see, I respect that." Ecthelion sighed dejectedly "I know enough about you to realise that this isn't a friendly visit. Something is going to happen in SR, and in your field its usually not a good thing." Thanos chuckled "Yes sir, in my business things are never good..." with that his face turned grim and he slammed back his Joiliq. Ecthelion cracked open the portfolio and inside he found some celluloid sheets, maps, and a dataslate. "These are the maps of SR...locations of military installations, dispatch orders." Ecthelion's face beamed and he chuckled "How did you get these?" Thanos, his face split with a smile responded "Never you mind about that. These are the maps of SR's coastline, military and civilian centre's are pictured...you might have noticed the incredible military prescence here in Neptune Commander. Well, let me explain a little to you as there are some things that you dont know. SR and Lapse have been at each others throats for months though it doesn't seem like it on the outside. They have been preparing for war and Lapse is poised to strike. Where, we dont know at the moment. But when they do it will be pretty big. SONOS may be deployed." Ecthelion sat there a moment, digesting the information "Why hasn't SR informed us? Auman would be glad to help." Thanos shrugged "We dont know yet, may'be they think they can handle it on their own, may'be they dont think it will be as bad as we think." The Ambassador cocked an eye "And what 'exactly' do you think is going to happen?" Thanos sighed "Well, I reckon it would be best for you and your staff to leave the nation. Other than that, all you need to know is right here. Well, I have pressing business to attend to. I expect you should be leaving?" Ecthelion grimaced "Thats a bit like rats fleeing a sinking ship...no, I think we'll stay for now." Thanos shrugged, and left the room.

OOC:
Im SR's ally, I believe this is the right place to post.
High above the ground, Eye 1 looked for unknown targets entering SR airspace and water.
"This is Eye one, radar's clear. There's nothing out here."
"Rodger that Eye one, maintain current patrol path."
"Rodger that command..."
"Eye One we have reports of a small cyclone (OOC: That's a hurricane for you americans) heading toward the SR coast... it should miss Terra and head for us."
"This is Eye one, roder that, it looks a little bad out there... we'll have to call it off if it hits us."
"Affirmative Eye One, we'll rely on EWDS. RTB."
OOC: EWDS is Early Warning Detection System. Unmanned radar/sonar that just sits out somewhere and transmits information. Doesn't provide specific information, just that something is out there.
Meanwhile in Nepture
"Factor, Rodger Factor" smiled Factor, taking Kohatsu's hand and shaking it. "Please, have a seat. We're most likely going to get out of Neptune and call this whole thing off if things get bad, not if this cyclone hits us though! Well, the Lapse delegate hasn't arrived, no big supprise, but we're waiting for him. He's the only civilian aircraft cleared at this moment, everyone else is on SR military aircraft... guarded like common cattle, so I'm told. Anyway, Lapse will be arriving at the Neptune Airstrip and will be escorted by TacRep officers to here, where everyone will hang around and blab on for a while. Apprently an Aumanii ambassador is over in PHOBOS, the capitol. It might pay to move him down to Black if security level CASTLE keeps up... got to protect him from whatever the hell is going on. But enough of me blabing on, how are you?"
In the capitol city of PHOBOS
Tactical Response Officers raced toward the Aumanii Ambassador's office. They opened the door and started to secure the area.
"Ambassador Ecthelion? I'm officer Hawkins, we're moving you to a secure SR Control facility. You'll meet with the SR Cabinet to discuss what must be done. Your present location is most definately not safe. More will be explaned en-route. Right now sir, we must leave quickly."
OOC: BLACK is a secure Multi-National SR facility around the centre of SR Control. It's designed to protect the SR cabinet from many attacks, and is deep underground. It was constructed by Terra. SR Cabinet members go there when security level CASTLE is in effect.
Meanwhile, at Black
"God damn it! Why is the network so slow?" yelled Commander Soldant at his laptop. His office was originally down the hall, but something went wrong and now he was shoved into this little room until the minibar had been repaired... a long story. The phone rang, which wasn't unusual.
"This is Soldant."
The voice on the other end was different... digital.
"ICARUS Phone watch... connecting you with TacRep Watch"
The voice dissapeared and he was connected with Officer Hawkins
"This is officer Hawkins, we're about to move the Aumanii people to Black, area appears to be secure. But sir, I've been asked to report that three people were found with explosive devices outside the building."
"You did the right thing in telling me that. Continue on soldier!"
"Yes sir!"
The digital voice returned.
"ICARUS Phone System, disconnected. Your call has been erased."

The digital voice spoke
"ICARUS Threat Detection. Unknown boat in SR Waters, Fire on position at ECHO DELTA 5 2."
The line was killed.
"You heard it, fire on the position!"
The Nimitz fired.
Suddenly, paniced voices came through the radio.
"This is Alpha, what the hell is going on? Someone's firing upon us!"
"GOD DAMN! CEASE FIRE! We're hitting the captured boat!"
"This is Bravo, you're lucky there's this trap door thing, otherwise we'd be screwed."
"Trap door? What? Bravo, say again!"
"This is Bravo, we've found a trap door... seems to be for deploying a payload..."
"Bravo, we copy you. We're sending out SONAR to see if anything was dropped."
"Roder that."
The plot was thickening...
OOC: Just a message: the ship was off the continental shelf so you would be going down several hundred kilometers. I cant be certain but i doubt that any submarine could stand those forces
IC:

Dear representitives of the ntions of SR control. We feel it would be in the interest of safety of our ambassador if we did not send him to your nation during the lock down. We believe that if we do it will just cause more harm and confusion for both of our nations. Once lockdown is off, we will resume the ambassadorial visit[/code:1:f5780d2f53]
Secret IC:
Lord Time Lapse sat in the government building, with his most trusted advisors.
Time Lapse: "Gentlemen, we have encountered a problem with our action with SR. currently, they have been put on alert due to our boat. currently, there is no evidence to link us to the boat, and agent T would have sunk to the bottom of the ocean, hundreds of kilometers down. At that pressure it will be destroyed. I think we should put our plan on pause for a while. SR cannot stay on Red Alert for long, and there is no evidence to connect us."
Military advisor: "Sir, our space fleet is assembling, we may not have another opportunity like this to level SR. Their forces grow every day."
Time Lapse: "So do ours advisor"
Foreign affairs advisor: "Perhaps we should, say offer SR our assistance in investigating this ship, 'in an effort to improve relationships'. It may cause the lock down to end quicker, but even better it would lead them further away from treh real cause."
Time Lapse: " That is a good idea advisor, but it would require more work, we will consider it for future. But for now, we will keep all forces at home, all space forces will return to base slowly, and we will not do anything against SR. We now know how paranoid they are. Once the lockdown is over, we can probe them with more merchant ships, and see what they will do. Our attempts to attack recently were bungled, but they will not be bungled this time."
OOC: Lapse, considering you're (gernally) within the SR Control region, I believe I know the topography better than you. All you were issued with was a map, and you haven't even MARKED the location of your ship. Until then, I am assuming that Agent T can be reached.
IC:
"Sir, the Lapse ambassador is running off!"
"Good. I didn't feel like dealing with those idiots anyway. Well, keep the lockdown in place. Those space signals haven't gone away yet. Aliens or enemies, we're not doing nothing until that goes."
Soldant looked at his small office, and waited for more news on the space signals. There was no way in hell the lockdown was dropping for ONE ambassador, but people leaving SR might be allowed... it depended on current circumstances, and what the hell that fishing boat was doing.
"If something dropped as far as we suspect, only Terra would be able to get an idea what it is... I'll contact Terra and ask for his BLUE fleet to get to work."
"Good," said Soldant, "Find out for me"
"If Agent T dropped as far as we suspect, only Terra would be able to get an idea what it is... I'll contact Terra and ask for his BLUE fleet to get to work."
"Good," said Soldant, "Find out for me"
You dont know of the existance of agent T, you just know of a trapdoor in the bottom of a fishing boat which could have any use.
and also the Agent T is vulnerable to pressure, the boat was still close to the bordersand at that distance from land, the sonos would be destroyed by the pressure, or the current would have swept it away.
OOC: My mistake, but like I said, you DON'T KNOW THE TOPOGRAPHY OF SR CONTROL, so it's not your place to make it up. If you're within SRC Borders, you have to play by the topography I set out.
OOC: My mistake, but like I said, you DON'T KNOW THE TOPOGRAPHY OF SR CONTROL, so it's not your place to make it up. If you're within SRC Borders, you have to play by the topography I set out.
yes, i know, but commen topography dictates that your not likely to have 4 meters of water all the wayfrom sure to the edge of territorial waters ( i think it is 12 nautical miles
OOC: Your key word was not likely. With that statement, it means possible... also you don't know exactly what lies around SR Control, you know the general shape and where nations lie.
And you STILL haven't maked out on the map where your boat was!

"Ryuou"-class submarine Blue Sub 6
Commanding: Captain Iga the 3rd
2nd-in-Command: Yuri Maiakofski
Current Depth: ~2,000 Meters
"Sonar? What's out there?" Captain Iga asked.
Sonar Officer Yamada turned in his chair and answered:
"I've got something, sir. It's another 500 meters below us; no chance of us reaching it without getting crushed in the process. We're going to need to call in a salvage team."
Captain Iga nodded.
"Thank you...can you tell what it is?" he asked. Yamada quickly answered.
"Whatever it is, sir, the pressure squished it pretty good. I'm getting reflections from at least 200 different directions, meaning that the pressure imploded the outer casing. Whatever it was, though, it was cylindrical."
Iga nodded again.
"Very good, Sonar. Lieutenant Yun, send a message to CENTPACOM. Tell them we need a deep-sea salvage crew out of...Naruto base, I believe is the closest."
Yun nodded. "Aye sir." was all he said, before he got busy with his keyboard. Iga nodded, sighed, and returned his gaze to the central viewport, admiring the blue ocean. His vessel, Blue Sub 6, was possibly the most advanced submarine ever developed. Combining stron defense systems with formidable weapons, and coupled with her swift but silent speed and deep-diving ability, Blue Sub 6 was built for any eventuality. Iga pitied the poor men and women that would have to go up against the BLUE Fleet.

Meanwhile, at NEPTUNE Airport
"I am quite all right...I expected nothing more or less from Lapse's lapdogs. I do hope that this hurricane doesn't do too much damage to SR's valuable infrastructure, especially in a lovely city like Neptune!" exclaimed
Congressman Kohatsu. "I'll make sure to report how well we're being accomodated to the Terran government."
And with that, the Congressman boarded his Limo, waited for Mr.Factor to get in alongside him, and then closed the door. Other members of his entourage climbed inside other vehicles, which then sped off across the tarmac and towards the nicest hotel in the city, where Kohatsu and Factor were due to trade intelligence on Lapse over a nice cup of coffee.
(ooc: Good posts guys.)
The nicest hotel in the city of Neptune was patroled by troopers and guarded by a tank. "I hate neptune" sighed Factor "It's so... horrible. I used to like it, oh yes, the sounds and the sights and the different cultures and stuff, but not anymore. After you've seen it for about three years, it's like any other SR city... cept without the military recruiting stations. Anyway, what do you want to eat?"
Ecthelion had been going over the information he had just recieved when there was a knock of the door, "Sir, there are some men here to see you." said the Captian of the Guard. "Come in" called the Ambassador as he quickly slipped the folder into a brief case, with that, in came Captian Lorenzo and red uniformed soldier bearing the markings of SR's Elite Military, he stepped forward and saluted in the fashion of his people and spoke "Your presence is requested in Neptune city Ambassador." Ecthelion glanced towards Lorenzo and then shrugged. "I was expecting this sooner actually commander. Yes, please give my men some time to prepare the motorcade. Please make yourself comfortable, I think we need to discuss somethings."
OOC:
I always imagined SR troops to have Red Uniforms, not exactly practical...but damn cool.
OOC: Actually it's the opposite, SR troopers have the dark blue with black belts, helmets and visors. These days they wear black vests as well. Here's a nice little picture:
http://www.t986.com/ibb/uploads/av-4.jpg
I can't really think of anything to add for the moment, mostly caus i'm distracted by my new router :D so I'll just wait.
In a private chamber at Lapse:
Military advisor: "Sir, our spy sattelites report alot of activity around thje site where we lost Agent T, we believe that SR may have found the hatch in the ship."
Lord Time Lapse: "It doiesnt mattter, even if they do find agent T, it has no markings, and the self destruct will still be active, despite the actual device being destroyed by pressure. We must remember that nobody outside of lapse knows what agent T looks like, and thus we can not be traced from it."
Military advisor: "I understand Lord Time Lapse"
------------------------
Later in the day:
military advisor: "Sir, all space forces have reported to have returned to base"
Lord Time Lapse: "Good, we will prepare for more action soon, i expect that SR will cancel the lockdown soon. They cannot stay locked up forever, it would screw up foreign trade, not to mention other economic and practicle fatcors. Once they bring it down, we will test them."

"Citizens of SR! The danger has almost passed! The unidentified ship was merely an illegal fishing ship, nothing to be worried about. It's now in SR hands. At the point in time, the only linkage to Lapse is a trap door found on the boat which bares the logo of a known Lapse shipyard, but it was a private enterprise and was probably not installed by the military. Records indercate that the particular business is now bankrupt, and has long since ceased operations. Because of this, SR is now removing SOME restrictions on citizens. SR forces shall still patrol the streets, but there will be fewer. All forigen citizens are still restricted to Neptune, excepting diplomats, who are transported by SR high altitue airway transports to AIRSPACE THETA, a secure facility within SR. All international ships are restricted with entering SR waters, they are scanned by TacRep units first, and then allowed to enter port. There, they are explored from top to bottom and watched carefully. Incoming aircraft are either directed to Neptune or to Theta, if they have a diplomat. Citizen scanning is reduced to only citizens leaving Neptune. However, roads to military installations are still cut and guarded by SR forces. Do not attempt to enter them!"
The SR Television transmittion ended.
OOC: To sum it all up:
A fair few restrictions have been removed.
There are less SR forces out in the streets, excepting Neptune.
All boats are first inspected by SR TacRep units (they are ordered to stop and units are dispatched to the boat) and then inspected again at port.
All aircraft are either sent straight to Neptune (and inspected by TacRep units) and Diplomats go to area Theta and are kept under close watch.
Intra-Region flights are less restricted, especially from nations like Terra, Soda, and Aevia, mostly because their level of national security is extremely high. Of course, all nations work together to ensure that everyone is safe.
SR is not sending aid to any forigen nations at this moment. Be aware some aircraft can be refused landing permission.
OOC:
The ship had no markings, and no registration.
it wouldnt have a logo of anytthing on it, and any logo on the hull would have been from another nations shipyards, as
It had been purchased off another nation at scrap prices
OOC: If it had been fitted with such a device, it would've been from a Lapse yard. What is the problem? it's from a bankrupt company. If you can determine my topography, why is that you don't allow me to determine anything else?

actually, i think the final answer for the topography was 700m which was a terran idea.
and i did say at the start that it bore no markings.

OOC: Then this is going nowhere fast... and I'm really tempted to ignore it since you seen to be setting all the rules and I just get to play with my forces (which you dispute as well). At the start you wouldn't let me determine my own topography! I only agreed on 700M because it almost made us both happy. You give me nothing to work with, and even when I say it's a small mark on a new addition to the old fishing boat which comes from a shipyard in Lapse which has been known to be bankrupt, you say no. However, I'm not allowed to determine my own topography and you disputed the fact I was already under Matrial law due to recent diplomatic breakdowns. So either let me have a little bit of leyway or I ignore the whole thing, because nobody is agreeing on anything unless YOU want it to be right,
Über-Furher Alexander Baus of Baking Soda rushed into Soldant's office, guards chasing after him. "Ack! Soldant, can you do me a favour and call off your guards?" The soldiers had tackled the leader, and were struggling to keep him down as he clawed at the ground. "Uh... Guards, desist." The blue-uniformed men immediately stood up, and saluted Soldant. "At ease, men." "Yes, sir!" The guards left the room almost as quickly as they had entered.
Alex looked at the still swinging hardwood door, and said "Funny little place you've got here." Soldant watched the eccentric leader walk around the room, touching random objects. "Yes, really funny. Put my paper-clips down." Alex looked back, and set the paper-clip box down on the desk, "Oops, sorry."
Soldant looked at the leader, noticing that his shoes were on the wrong feet, and a crushed doughnut was sticking out of his coat pocket. "I take it you left in a hurry?" "Yes, yes, some trouble in one of my territories. Those little sneaky bastards... So, fill me in on the matter at hand." "Well, we recently discovered an unmarked--Damnit, put my stapler back on the desk!" "Oh, uh, stapler, yeah." "As I was saying... Recently, an unmarked fishing boat was found in SR waters." "Illegal fishermen, eh? Those little commie bastards..." "No, no, that's not what I'm concerned about! We have reason to believe that this boat was put there by our enemy in Bristle, Lapse." "Yes, go on..." "Now, as you know, some of our nations in SR Control have recently left us for Bristle--Leave the drawers in the filing cabinets, those take forever to organize." "Sorry about that." Soldant let out a sigh. "Here, I'll just show you the map..."
Soldant reached under his desk, and hit a button. A hologram map of SR Control appeared in the middle of the desk. The image suddenly started shaking and crackling. "Alex, please, stop fooling around with that thing. Those holograms cost a lot." "Oh, excuse me." Soldant turned off the hologram, turned to his computer, and printed something out. "Here, a map of SR Control." Soldant handed the piece of paper to Alex, and started marking some areas. "Now, this spot right here is where we found the boat. There was nothing hostile on the craft, at least not anything that we could see. We have already dispatched crews to dredge the sea floor in the area, and HazMat teams are examining the ship. Now, in the meantime, all citizens are being moved to the city of Neptune. If we determine this as a threat, SR Control will take action upon it." "Wow... All this because of an unmarked boat?" "Yeah, well, better safe than sorry. And put that pen back, I got that at graduation."

OOC:  Um soda... you made a mistake there mate ;)
Don't have any IC stuff to post until Lapse decides whether he's going to let others play or not.
yeah, allies are allowed in.
OOC: and also topography is not determined by me, but rather natural land formation. When i assumed how deep the sea was i was going off what it is like in RL
IC:
In Lapse, nothing was happening out of the usual, daily occurences. People lived and the govenrmnet functioned, nothing in the region would suggest anything had happened recently regarding SR. At the time more plans were been made to attack SR.
OOC: I really CBFed writing somthing with a storyline tonight :P
and im waiting for SR to bring down lockdown so i can make my next move.
OOC: If you're within SR waters (like you said) then it's my decision about what the landform is like.
And I can't be bothered RPing today either. Though I did like Soda's post :)
Also, oocly, I'm definately NOT bringing down a complete lockdown. Only ambassadors are allowed. I'm not stupid Lapse
I'm not stupid Lapse
Neither am I. i will wait. complete lock down would destroy your economy

OOC: Sorry, I'm just so full of RPing energy today! Normally, the only reason I even go on NationStates is to keep my nations from being deleted, but as of yesterday, it was to be a bringer of death/UN ejection. I'll wait for Lapse next time, even though that post I made was pretty much only to get me in the game. I found a golfball with a nail sticking out of it.
I found a golfball with a nail sticking out of it.
WOW!... cool, i want one :P
OOC: Guys back on topic, I think I'd better make my lockdown clear:
Domestic Traffic (citizens within SR) is now free flowing. CITIZENS CAN GO TO WHATEVER CITY THEY WANT, EXCEPT MILITARY ZONES.
INTRA-REGION TRAFFIC IS PARTIALLY RESTRICTED. SOME flights are inspected, but those from Terra, Soda, Aevia aren't, since they're probably being watched by their own forces anyway.
NEPTUNE IS STILL UNDER LOCKDOWN. This will remain until this conflict is over... and I mean COMPLETELY OVER.
International traffic: few rules, none of these apply for diplomats.
All international traffic from TRUSTED nations (such as Auman, Jedi Revolutionists, Comical Birds, blah blah blah) isn't watched too closely. There is still standard airport security, but not too worried. These aircraft/ships can dock/land at any SR city, bar PHOBOS/DEMIOS. Trusted nation travelers are welcome to visit almost any SR city, provided they have a passport and wear their SR Barcode card wherever they go.
Other international traffic (from NEUTRAL sources) is first checked by TacRep units for weapons, passengers are then screened, and then the aircraft is allowed to proceed to the terminal. Traffic is sent to Neptune/Port near neptune.
Enemy CIVILIAN AIRCRAFT are landed at Neptune and impounded until SR TacRep units have deemed it safe. Those passengers are restricted to Neptune only. If anyone is considered high risk, they are either deported or detained. They are TRIED UNDER THEIR NATIONS LAWS. IF THEY ARE TERRORISTS, THEY ARE TRIED UNDER SR LAWS! Enemy Civilian ships are first comandeered by TacRep units, and taken to shore while a search is performed.
Enemy aircraft/boats MILITARY are just destroyed in the case of aircraft, or captured if possible with boats. You shouldn't be anywhere near SRC unless you're attacking.
DIPLOMATS ARE LANDED AT AREA THETA (RESTRICTED MILITARY AIRSPACE) AND THEN GUARDED BY TacRep UNITS. Special circumstances for each diplomat.
OOCLY: Don't make up where you go, you're directed where to go. TacRep units will lead each diplomat to their respective locations. DOESN'T APPLY TO SR CABINET MEMBERS!
SR Troopers still patrol the streets. That just doesn't change, regardless of lockdown.
So, in short, it isn't killing my economy, it's just international traffic is watched VERY closely, especially from nations such as Lapse.
OOC: that explains it better, thanks
IC:
The Zavvagretto, was an ordinary fishing ship. It was from the nation of Lapse, but it had absolutly no markings on it except for rust stains on the metal hull. Its goal was to check how heavily SR searched unknown ships and what they did with them. Currently, it was about to enter SR territorial waters to test SR for preperations for opperation theta. It had no weapons in it, and nothing shich could cause harm except for a few knives and other fishing items. It also had half of a hold full of fish (no catfish) to keep its cover story active. As final preperations were made for boarding it entered SR water.
OOC: NOT IMPRESSED. Computer locked up JUST AS I WAS ABOUT TO POST. So, you get the short version. To summerise, ICARUS (DefAI) hs found the ship. The following is radio transmittions from Dispatch, Alpha and Bravo (in PT boats boarding the boat) and Charlie in a BlackHawk circling the boat (Chopper is Goose 7).
"This is Alpha, all crew accounted for."
"Rodger, this is Bravo, we're heading for the cargo hold."
"This is goose seven, it's just a fishing ship, no mounted weapons."
"This is dispatch we copy your transmittions. Maintain circling pattern."
"This is Bravo, we've found their fish supply. They're fishermen. Alpha, can you get a permit?"
"Affirmative Bravo, they have a permit."
"This is Goose seven, it's getting a little rough up here."
"Rodger that Goose Seven, keep on maintaining a perimeter, make it wider."
"This is Charlie, we're still watching."
"This is Alpha, we're taking control."
"This is Bravo, we're watching the crew."
"Roder that, all units RTB. Get that ship to Port at Neptune for inspection."
"Rodger that, Alpha moving captured boat."
"This is charlie, on RTB."
*Several minutes later*
A full TacRep sweep is now being conducted, including search for biological agents and chemical/nuclear agents.
"This is Alpha, Bravo and Charlie. We're proceeding with our search for weapons."
"This is Delta, we've finished our sweep for Bio and Chem agents. The place is clear, except for a bit of bacteria. Don't eat the fish guys."
"This is Echo, we're starting our inspection to see how safe this thing is."
"This is Foxtrot, we're looking for documents."
"Right, commence sweep."
*Few minutes later*
"All elements report."
"This is Alpha, no sightings."
"Bravo, no sightings."
"Charlie, just a few knifes. They've been taken."
"This is Echo, it's rusty but floats. Needs a good clean."
"This is Foxtrot, basic rundown are incomplete maps and pathetic computer systems. They've got a fishing permit but it's expired. Apart from that, they were charted outside SR waters, but they've either come here to sell fish or accidently wandered on in. Their maps end just outside of SR waters. Interrorgate the crew."
"Rodger that guys."
The teams searched but had no reason to suspect that it was anything more than a fishing boat. The crew's story appeared to check out. Finally, they were issued with their Trading Pass:
"This trading pass allows you to offload your cargo here and stay in Neptune for up to one week while your ship is re-fuled and readied by SR dock engineers. After this week, you will be forcibly evicted if repairs are finished. If you attempt to escape Neptune, you will be dispatched (shot). If you willingly evade SR forces, you will also be tried, and most likely, executed."
At the Overlord's recidence:
"Sir, group echo reports that they have successfully made it into neptune, they have being searched by SR authorities who found no connection between us and them" said a junior officer
"Good." replied lord time Lapse, "prepare group foxtrot. Also prepare the ambush of the Zavvagretto, make sure it lpoooks like a pirate attack on the vessel, and sink it. That way if SR plants a tracking device aboard it wont come to Lapse."
Group foxtrot was a pleasure sailing catamaram, it was registered to another country, and once again poised no threat apart from a spear gun which was used when spear fishing, and several knifes.
A day later, group foxtrot set off to take a very round about route to SR control. A small group of old motorised inflatable boats and a amall gunboat (not catfish) set off to prepare the ambush.
OOC: Unless you have anything to add between the time when the catamaram leaves Lapse, goes on a short trip out of its way, and enters SR waters, assume it is in SR waters now.
ICARUS picked up the cattermaran at the same time as the radar operator did. "Sir, another boat... it's in our waters... appears to be waiting for something."
The captian looked at the radar.
"That's not right. Could be another fishing ship. Send out charlie to check it out... otherwise, we'll just send them on their way."
A little while later, Charlie and Goose Seven are in the air.
"All elements, keep your eyes on the target, could be anything out there."
"This is goose seven, high winds out here, lets make this quick"
"Rodger that, keep your eyes on the target... charlie report."
"Reporting in, appears to be a cattermaran... no markings."
"This is Dispatch, we're attempting communication with the craft."
"Attention unidentified vessle. Stop immedieately and do not change current heading. You are in SR terrirorial waters, prepare to be scanned. Submit registration."
ICARUS recieved the registration, and spat it out at the commander.
"Apparently it's from Jedi Revolutionists. That's not right... why are they out this far? They hardly ever stop out here... and fishing? What the hell do they want with our fish? Their fish is much better..."
"This is goose seven, can we hurry along Dispatch? This is getting hard to control..."
"Uh, oh yes. Goose Seven, sorry but you'll have to maintain it a little longer. ICARUS must be giving strange results."
"Unidentified vessle, re-submit registration."
This time, it bypassed ICARUS.
"What the? It says JR again! What the hell! This can't be right... JR never comes out here. Alright people! Listen up, this registration is from JR, but they never come out here, so something is amiss. I don't think it's JR at all, so if Goose Seven can manage it, rapel down to the deck and secure the suspects."
"This is Goose Seven... no way, not in these high winds."
"This is Charlie, we're not going to manage it..."
"Hmm, SkyStat what's the weather conditions?"
"This is SkyStat, weather conditions: high winds. Storm to hit SR Coastline in 1 Hour. Seas: High, forecast: Very high."
"Rodger that, far too dangerous. Alright, Goose Seven, head back to base."
"JR Fishing Vessle, you are ordered to dock at SR Inspection Port 1 at the EAST end of the SR military port. You'll be directed by the SS Nimitz. Transfering you now..."
"This is the SS Nimitz, with you. Maintain your current heading, do not exceed port speed. You will dock at the port LEFT of our current port. Keep going straight, all will be fine. You will submit to a search upon entering the dock. You will be given a one night SR pass, which may be extended depending on the weather conditions. You are to be detained for questioning, because your registration is out of date and it is extremely unusual for JR to have boats out this far. If found guilty, you will be tried under JR law."
The Nimitz guided the catamaran into the SR Military Port, where teams searched. They took the knives and the speargun, and three creates of fish which were determined to be diseased. The crew have been detained for questioning over the fish and why they were out here. SR is waiting for the severe storm to pass before stepping up coast guard.
Baking Soda

Meanwhile, in Baking Soda, the government is pumping the citizens full of crap, and giving out free guns.
The image of Alexander Baus appears on government-emergency screens accross the nation.
"Citizens of Baking Soda! As you know, our government is in peril! Across the region, in SR, there have already been a number of vicious fishing ships carrying biological agents! Well, no, not really, their liscenses were only expired, and so were the fish... But that's besides the point! Do you want to eat a tuna sandwich one of these days, and notice that it tastes icky? Then defend your nation from the quite possibly evil forces that harbour food-poisoning! We're all united in the effort to keep our nation safe, so grab a gun, and keep on the lookout for suspicious looking characters, and whatnot. For security purposes, a second barcode will be printed on all citizens with ultra-violet ink so that we may keep better track of you, and keep the enemy seperate from the friends. Come to your local Ministry of Documentation to have your identifications renewed, and updated. All citizens must stay within the nation until further notice. Outsiders will be restricted from entering the nation until a resolution is made to the foreign policy. If you are found with no, or faulty identification, you will be shot on the spot. Anus."
(OOC: 'Anus' is the Latin word for 'end', and that's the only difference between English and Sodan)
Stormtroopers immediately started strolling the streets as Baking Soda citizens rushed to the Ministry of Documentation. Men, women, and children could be seen walking through the halls into the printing rooms, where hundreds of machines checked old barcodes and etched new ones into the necks of the people. By the time they walked out of the MoD, everybody was holding a gun, with pride blinding their brain. The public was already ordered to wear the Baking Soda civillian uniform, as a part of the laws made long ago, so any outsider or rebelling teeanger would be easy to spot and pick off.
OOC: And, here you go, Lapse:
http://pics.apartment808.com/users/gernaught/golfball.jpg
It's weird, it's not through the golfball, it's in the golfball. I'm thinking of maybe issuing these to my forces.
OOC: WOW! That's...freaky. How the hell did it get in there?!
"Well, looks like our plan worked better than expected Ladies and gentlemen." Said Supreme overlord timelapse. " We now have what the searching procedures are for boats entering SR territorial waters. I believe it is time for stage Charlie of our operations. We will now build a fleet of unmarked, un registered fishing ships, and send an assult out to SR. We will not make a hostile move though, rather, we will just keep putting these boats into SR waters. Eventually, they will sink one of these 'innocent boats' and thus, international outrage. Of course make sure they can find no links between us and the boats. Do not purchase them directly, do not advertise. Do not mark them or modify them in any way."
"Sounds like a plan boss" said an advisor
"Shut up" said lord time lapse
"Yes sir" replied the ambassador
"Anyway, our plan will really piss off the enmy goivernment. and annoyance brings frustration, which causes mistakes. Let the flood of fishing boats begin!"
After this conversation Lapse started buying rusty old neglected fshing ships through sources, never bring attention to them selves.
"You're watching Channel SR News Network, where all the important stories are. Tonight's headlines: Yet another rusty boat captured by SR forces with supprising results, Storm causes problems for Neptune, and SR's revised security plan, all revealed today. But first, our top story.
SR forces today managed to capture yet another unidentified fishing ship off the coast of SR today. The ship was carrying more SR fish, but, ironically, were storing them in a tank of water, alive. When TacRep units found the fish, they wern't sure what to think. (Cut to TacRep unit) "I just saw these fish swimming around and I thought "What the?" (Cut to news reader) Nobody is entirely sure why these boats are out here, but one thing is certain, SR is getting angry. John Temperton reports.
(cut to outside SR Defence Info Centre)
"The fishing boats just don't give up, they roll in after SR fish, and then get captured by the SR authorities. At the moment, there are only three available docks for storing the impounded vessels, before SR can't handle anymore for safe harbourig. SR Captain Alex Rodgers however, has a different idea."
"SR is now adopting a much harder penalty, and it's not death this time. Instead of bringing them close to SR, they'll be directed out of SR waters. If they refuse to comply, we'll either boart the boat and force them away, or treat it as a terrorist attack and use standard SR Anti-Terrorism practices. At this stage, that involves getting the people off the boat, taking it outside SR waters, and sinking the boat, or selling the boats for scrap metal. Either are quite nice ideas."
"It's still not known if SR will start destroying unknown vessels, but it's been in the cards for quite some time. Commander Soldant, however, has stated that SR will not adopt such a policy, unless the boats happen to be from Lapse, at which point they may be sunk if the boat refuses to leave SR waters after being issued with a warning."
(The SR news network programme ended)
"Okay men, we are frustrating SR now. our next step is to piss him off even more  " Said supreme overlord timelapse. "To do this, we will start a stream of illegal immigrants entering SR from an unknown country in the world. SR's oppressiveness will either kick them out or kill them, or perhaps better, let them into the nation showing citizens that SR rules can be broken, perhaps inspiring revolt and riot. Even if they just chuck them in jail, the citizens will be pised off becaus they are paying for them too live" Said supreme Overlord Time Lapse
"w00t" said an advisor
"Yes... w00t" replied supreme overlord Time lapse
"You're listening to SR News Network, blah blah blah, lets get onto the main story. Illegal Immigrants are attempting to swamp SR today, but the TacRep unit just doesn't let them."
"These idiots try eveything, we've seen them locked up in huge boxes of coffee, someone tried to make their own TacRep uniform, and another guy tried to hide himself in a car! A car! Under the dashboard infact! I mean, what the hell? Anyway, we've managed to get a good plan going. We basically shove them into a joint venture between SR and what was once 40C: Happpiness Island! We just dump them all there with the means to support themselves, and for some reason they end up dying. Probably because it was a toxic waste dump at some point, stupid hydrophonic farms. Anyway, as I was saying, these tree-hugging hippies will tell you that it's bad, but it isn't. Apart from the dead-lands where anything that goes through there ends up dead, it's quite a beautiful place to be. Except for the quarantined people who have viruses. Then there are problems. Either way, we're dealing with it pretty well. They get to live somewhere close to SR, and we don't worry about them. Mostly because most leaving vessles are either fired upon or directed back to the island. The system works!"
"Wow, what a wonderful story. Infact, yet another illegal immigrant boat was been re-directed to Happiness Island, but unfortunately a fire below the... I can't read that word, it's crossed out-"
"Just read the damn line!"
"Um, small fire in something killed many on the recent illegal boat while it was heading for the island. Apparently, a stray firearm from one of the civilians, while shooting at the TacRep officer caused some kind of explosion, killing many"
"Good work, now off stage"
In the government chambers:
Supreme overlord timelapse: Gentlemen, i have decided that what we are doing i9s off too higher economic cost, and have therefore called all plans off. We will resume normal activity, we have tested SR and decided not too make a move. One day SR will slip up, and then we will move in once again.
OOC: Basically, I talked OOCLY to lapse and we both decided this was going nowhere, so we're just letting it die.
