At approximately 0345 GMT patient zero was admitted to Costa Main Hospital. By 0550 GMT nearly 173 other patient were admitted to Costa Main, Anaheim Presbyterian, and Huntington Harbor hostpitals. Symptoms include: High fever, hemorrhaging from beneath the finger and toenails, eye inflammation, and a dark red rash on the extremities.
By 0760 GMT Costa Mesa Hospital was overcrowded with over 3750 cases. Cases were reported up to 60 miles from Costa Main.
By 0830 GMT the infection had spread to the capital city of Newport Center. The path of infection and randomness of patients have baffled Cape Newport's doctors and scientists.
Patient Zero died at 2321 GMT, less than 20 hours after first being admitted. late state Sypmtons include but are not limited to severe bleeding abnormalities and seizure. It was about this time that those health care workers who treated patient zero themselves contracted this infection. Infection rates from exposed persons are in the high 90% range with a death rate greater than the hanta or ebola virii at 97%.
As on 0300 GMT +1 there have been over 95,000 reported cases of the "Thantos virus"
Patients did not seem to have anything in common and cases in isolated town and villages also appeared, pointing to no apparant course or path of the infection.
It is because of this and the imminent and extreme danger this virus poses that Martial Law has been declared and Cape Newports borders are sealed. No ships, cars, airplanes or any other craft will be allowed to enter or leave Cape Newport. All branches and forms of the military have been activated.
All citizens are advised to stay in their homes and not to venture out. A curfew has been imposed with only those persons going to or from a hospital or clinic allowed on the streets at night. Looting or other criminal activity will result in arrest or possible termination on sight.
All citizens abroad are advised to go to the Cape Newport embassy and await further instruction.
The Government of Cape Newport and all affiliated agencies hereby plead and beg the international community to come forth with any information regarding the Thantos virus. However, we must graciously decline any offers of aid in the form of doctors or other persons due to the highly infectious nature of this disease.
