Jaab

The Free land of Jaab was orginally a faction of the Burnsian Desert during the civil war in that country. Following the nuclear attack launched by another Burnisan faction, Cajj, against Danneland, an independent nation occupying certain TBD territories, the Jaab leadership declared itself fully independent of the Burnsian Desert and renounced any claims over territory held by the remaining contenders.
The history of the TBD civil war and the events culminating in the nulcear devastation and subsequent surrender of Cajj can be seen in the threads 'The Burnsian Desert Splits Up' and 'Danneland got NUKED'...

In the course of the Danneland-Cajj war, the territories of Jaab were eradiated by the fallout from the nuclear exchange. With its lands devastated, the provisional government is unable to begin the gigantic task of rebuilding the nation.
Amidst calls for the provisional government to make way for a permanent administration, the people of Jaab appeal to the international community to aid them!

The following factions are struggling to form the next regime ruling Jaab...
1. The Burnsian Regionalist Movement
The BRM plan to revive Jaab along the lines of the former TBD. To this end, they intend to place Princess Anna Romalia, the youngest sister of the late Queen Rachel of TBD upon the throne, and to forge closer relations with neighbouring powers.
2. The Independent Jaab Movement
The IJM are united in their opposition to the BRM, claiming that the foremost concern of the government should be the best interest of the Jaab people, and not a backward obsession with the region that ultimately caused them to be irradiated. The IJM advocate the abandonment of the last vestiges of their Burnsian identity, and the relocation of the entire population to new lands, leaving behind the nuclear wasteland which their ancient home has become.
3. The Ringists
The Ringists are a small, fringe movement waiting in the wings for the two major contenders to play each other out. They believe that the Jaab nation, is too weak to stand alone, and that the people, barely used to independence, have no attachment to the 'artifical' identity created for them by the provisional government. The Ringists have recently begun to agitate for the incorporation of Jaab within the dominions of Prince Antoku of Izu.

OOC note: I created Jaab specifically for the TBD break-up RP; when that collapsed, this state was left without a real purpose.
This is an attempt to give it a new one (hey, I don't want to abandon a country without trying!)...
Of course, if no one cares or bothers to reply, the Ringists will seize power and annex Jaab to another state (conveniently, my major nation...).
MAKE NO MISTAKE- THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I'M KEEN ON. I don't believe in quasi-godmodding like this, as it's not good for Rp. But I don't want another pointless puppet demanding attention.
:)
