Penguin-29

History

Slowly being more succesful with the Penguin-26 Multi-role plane Penguisiana invested in another fighter. Over a number of debates Penguisiana has decided to create an air superiority fighter. Penguin 27 prototype was created a year after, but was not succesful, after testing it in a wind tunnel they found out that the penguin-27 aerodynamic was off. Setting it aside ( not trashing it ) the engineers designed the penguin-28. During the building of it Penguisiana tried to use it's own avonics, but it didn't turn out to be as good as a SIIRCM system(hint hint I didn't scrap this one either). Penguin-29 is the final comepletion of the ASF fighter.

weapons

The AIM-120 advanced medium-range air-to-air missile (AMRAAM) is a new generation air-to-air missile. It has an all-weather, beyond-visual-range capability and is scheduled to be operational beyond 2000.

The most recent Russian R-77 medium-range missiles (AA-12 "AMRAAMSKI") is similar to and in some respects equal to the American AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles, it has more explosive power.

AIM-132 is the successor of the side winder. A short ranged missile for all weather

AGM-84- both used as air to ground or air to ships missile

AGM-119- missile use for air to ship.

systems

Suite of Infrared Countermeasures [SIIRCM]
AN/ALQ-212 Advanced Threat Infrared Countermeasures (ATIRCM)
AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System (CMWS)

SIIRCM includes: a new development set of IR flare decoys the Advanced Infrared Countermeasures Munitions (AIRCMM), and passive IR features. These features include host platform modifications such as engine exhaust/heat suppression, and special coatings, intended to reduce the platform IR signature. The ATIRCM is part of the US Army's SIIRCM concept of IR protection. The CMWS consists of six (6) electro-optical sensors and an internally mounted Electronics Control Unit (ECU), which detects incoming missiles, provides warning to the crew, and dispenses countermeasures. CMWS is a totally passive detection system, requiring only the electro-optic (EO) signature of the missile plume. The ECU determines the threat status of detection’s using flight parameter data received from the aircraft Central Computer (CC). The ECU provides missile threat declaration, Direction-Of-Arrival (DOA) and elevation information to the CC which generates the crewstation display and warning tone. The CMWS allows for automatic or manual AN/ALE-45 Countermeasures Dispenser (CMD) operation.

How the hell did you fit all that?

Do you sell production rights? Can you tell me more about the stealth functions?
Penguisiana
07-03-2004, 18:32
the agm's are in the inner bays. and the r-77 are in the main bay. the stealth function is mainly the deflective outer shell for the radar. it's equipped with jammars to help block/confuse detection

Upon further review we will purchase three of these aircraft. No more, no less. Three shall be the number we purchase, and the number of the purchasing shall be ... three. Four shall we not purchase, nor shall you supply two, excepting that you then supply a third. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, ship your aircraft to Zoogiedom where, feeling in a good mood, we shall wire you the money necessary. The reason for selecting the number three, aside from the fact that it is my (as Defense Minister)'s favorite number, is that combine the fact that you use hydrogen cells (incompatible with our biological fuels we use domestically) and that all your weapons are modified...I'm afraid that we do not use mini-AGM-84's, and thus can not enjoy the fighter to the full extent you can domestically.

OOC: What's the difference between the inner bays and main bays? Where are they located with respect to each other? Jamming makes it obvious that you are there, just screws up exactly where you are...

Ah well, this is a nice general purpose fighter...we will enjoy our three.

We would like to purchase 10 of these planes for evaluation purposes,If liked we will most likely purchase more.

Dear Sirs,

Your new fighter is intriguing; however, we have a few questions:

1. Range of flight (km)?
2. Combate range of flight (km)?
3. Total payload weight allowance (kgs)?

Thank you for your attention to these details, and we look forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
