Today, after a general referendum of the population of Hattia. The People's Congress of Hattia has issued a statement declaring the extension of Hattia's territorial waters out a further 12 miles. Why is this important? It is because that it is suspected that rich oil deposits lie within this region. The policy on merchant ships remains the same, all merchant ships will be escorted by ships of the Hattian Coastal Guard.
