GDP = Gross Domestic Product in $$$
GNP = Gross National Product in $$$

per Capita = per Person (People are "Capital")

Economics mumbo jumbo.

A country's GDP is the value of all goods and services produced in that country in a calendar year.

A country's GNP is the value of all goods and services produced in that country in a calendar year, plus income earned by its citizens abroad, minus income earned by foreigners from production in that country.

"Per Capita" is Latin, and means "Per Head".

In English, "Per Person".

Hope that helps...
