OOC: Record that I control Malta before someone annexes it

“Hi, I’m Nick Bulat from WNN. The tiny island nation of Malta, due to political turmoil and economic hardship was admitted into the Watertest Empire today. Constant rebel ambushes combined with the collapse of tourism, destruction of agriculture, and the former President seeking exile in France, have made Malta into a virtual Anarchy. Over 2,500 Watertest soldiers along with a small land warfare team have been placed in Malta to keep the peace. New elections for the President of Malta are to be held when political and economic stability in the country is reached."

“Hello there, I’m Nick Bulat from WNN. The first signs of stability in Malta are slowly beginning to show. There has been an almost 85% reduction in all crimes since the Watertest occupation of the tiny island state, admitted into the Watertest empire yesterday. Constant injections of cash into the imploded economy and the restructuring and redeployment of the police force, the fire department, and the local military are beginning to return the country back into a peaceful democracy. However, several skeptics believe that Watertest is wildly annexing smaller countries, and there are other rumors about annexations of several Mediterranean islands including Corsica, Pantelleria, and the Isole Pelagie. These rumors are not confirmed and no hostile moves have been made against any of these islands at this point in time."
