Commander Elect Feaz C. Macleod sat at one side of a large, round, crystal table. Around the table were numerous chairs. They were mostly for the delegates of the Roubhe Alliance, but there were others there as well. Macleod suspected that they were going to have company.

Abbadon sat down next to him now, witha large amount of paper in his hands, including a small PDA which had a live satellite feed from his sub commander, listening to him through an ear peice. He looked calm, yet there were the tell tail signs of stress from this conflict.

Macleod looked over.
"We aren't doing too well. The Daikerta fleet pulverised everything I threw at them, and now their landing craft are preparing to make landfall. I'm not sure how long my tanks can hold them.

Abbadon looked to him.
"I've sent some of my airforce to intercept thier transports, but I don't think they will make a dent," He said, looking to Feaz bluntly, "I think a comprimise with the enemy is something we have to consider now."

He slammed his fist on the table.
"DAMNIT! Why does Magnus have to do this? Ayur has done NOTHING! Our people are out there, giving there lives, and for what? To stop a war that shouldn't have even come to pass?"

Abbadon blinked.
"Live is never fair and neither is war. sometimes you just have to accept that you don't win every battle. Good does not always triumph." Abbadon told him, sipping some tea.
Lord Teranis, ruler of the land of Kzich walked in to the council area. He took a seat silently and looked at the other attending members. He began to think if the circumstances at hand, but did not volunteer an opinion as he waited to gather more information.

Macleod nodded to acknowledge Teranis's entrance, and continued.
"I sent an invitation to Magnus. With any luck, he shall join us and we can end this bloodshed."

Abbadon gave the new man a brief, yet cold look, then returning to looking at the PDA.
"...Fat chance of that." He simply said to him.
Teranis saw the man give him a daunting stare, but shrugged it off and rolled his eyes. He didn't actually care what this man thought of him. He continued listening to their conversation with interest.
(ooc: Just for reference, Magnus the Pious died 3000 years ago. Luthor Huss is the current Emperor, and the title 'Champion of Marneus' was given to him by the people, who look up at him as Marneus-incarnate. I'm glad people pay attention to stuff like this though. )
Logan slowly opened the door, trying to look as confident as he could. Realizing none of Daikerta's very few allies in this conflict have arrived yet, the Maester took a seat at the table and gathered his thoughts.
"Greetings gentlemen. I am Maester Logan, aide to the Imperial Seat. I am here to negotiate peace on this very unstable matter."

OOC-Ah. Good to know.
IC-Macleod stood, holding out his hand.
"Greetings, Logan. I am Feaz C. Macleod, Commander of the Feazanthian armed forces. Please, take a seat. We can begin, and the other delegates will just have to catch up."
OOC-Dude, do you have AOL Instant Messenger? Three Roubhe members are on right now.

Abbadon didn't look at him, too concerned in dealing with his besieged men in the trenches. He was simply not listening to anything, yet he KNEW what was going on.

((Just so anyone doesn't get confused if my policy doesn't seem to fit my nation, my nation is not at all what I wanted it to be. -_-))
An ambassodor from Excalidem also arrived. He was apparently dissatisfied and somewhat angry with the aggressors. He took a seat and put a laptop on the table, just in case he needed information. A badge identifying him read Jacob Embrasia, Ambassodor of the Excalidem.
(ooc: AIM doesn't seem to like to work on my computer. Everyone uses MSN where I live, anyways.)
"Very well. Before we get started, could you please explain to the delegates gathered, including myself, the reason for this council and what you are asking from Daikerta and its allies?"
General Zhang Yide, second-in-command of the Singapuran military operating in Ayur, moved into the room, sitting directly opposite Daikerta's leader. He had a large stack of paper's concerning the dialogue of the pre-war argument, including the 'evidence' of Daikerta's. with a few how-de-dos he and there, he immediately stated his settlement, coming directly from the top of Singapuran leadership.
"Alright man, let's get down to it. Ayur will most likely be unable to respond, but I have our interests at heart. Here is what we need.
1. Complete withdrawal of all Daikertan forces in Ayurian land or territorial waters.
2. Allowing of an Allied defense force to remain in Ayur to ensure clause 1 is insured.
3. A combined Daikertan-Allied inspection team to go through Ayur, with international coverage.
4. Apologies and reparations for damage caused, after a Daikertan-Allied convention to determine who was the aggressor.
5. Ceasing of military aid to Ayur if he is found guilty.
6. This treaty shall be binding from here on out.
There it is gentlemen. Six terms. Short, but sweet. I have never been one to mince words. These terms come from General Jia Yi. I believe they are generous, " Zhang said as he turned to the Daikertan and looked him straight in the eye, "are they not?"

The Maester grunted. "Your proposal is unacceptable. The Disputed Territories of Ayur has a history of terrorism, supplying terrorist nations with weaponry, and allowing terrorist to operate within their borders. When this conflict began, Daikerta's goal was to bomb the terrorist camps within Ayur and deport any other terrorists in the nation. When he began his propaganda campaign, all of you stepped in and made it a bit more difficult. This war is your fault. If you would just step aside and allow us to do our business, then your men will be spared. I'm not asking you to give in to defeat. I'm asking you to do the right thing and stop protecting these terrorists."

Abbadon didn't even blink. He was not listening. He sipped his tea then started to file throuhg some paperwork he needed doing.
"Listen to me," Excalidem's ambassador spoke up. "Ayur offered to allow you to enter the country and inspect it. Had you done so, your claims would either have become undeniable or proven false. Either way, the better choice by far was to accept their proposal. This war is your fault because you chose it over a better solution. Invading a country that is cooperating is a bad solution. If you had tried that, you'd have a lot more nations backing you up right now, including my own, and had your claims been supported by such an action, then you'd get even more support. As it stands, Ayur's government has yet to openly defy the rooting out of terrorists. Yes, terrorists do need to be rooted out, but it would have been better to do it wiht the suport of the Ayur's government than without it."

OOC-*cough cough* Anyone who knows the guy behind Excalidem will find the irony in that one.
IC-"Indeed. We supported Ayur because you failed to support your claims to its support of terrorist groups. All you gave us were some grainy sattelite imagery and your word. Now, we can use our infantry squadrons currently in Ayur to inspect these so-called camps, but ONLY if you withdraw your forces. We obviously cannot have our troops abandon their posts if your guns are still within range of the beachhead."

((I figured you'd think that, Feaz. The truth is that Iraq most certainly did blatently defy allowing the UN. Saddam was not making any attempt to cooperate.))
"Unacceptable?" Zhang got a menacing tone.
"Your actions, Daikertan, were unacceptable. Your invasion of a sovereign state was unacceptable. Your misuse of the terrorist name to enlarge your land-holdings is unacceptable. Don't give me unacceptable, you--" Zhang stopped himself. His temper was famous among Singapurans, and no one knew it better than Jia Yi. He was under strict orders to control it.
"As I said, we cannot allow Daikertan army units to 'inspect' Ayur alone. We require an equally numerous Allied force to go along."
Logan was agitated. He did not think these nations knew what they were getting themselves into. Suddenly, his cell phone rang. Flipping up the lid, the Maester held a brief conversation with the man on the other side. Grinning, Logan ended the call and returned his focus to the meeting.
"Well gentlemen, the Daikertan landing force is within miles of the beachead. Our Hammer Fleet has pounded the beaches well enough that their will not be much resistance for our troops. Now if we do not come to a conclusion soon then we're just going to have to do things the Emperor's way."

Macleod growled.
"Do not seek to threaten us, Daikertan. We are far more powerful than you believe. You may have trodded all over us at sea, but the majority of forces are concentrated on land. My WARTHOG tanks are standing by to begin firing on you landers. Your invasion is illegal and we shall continue to fight until you withdraw or we are destroyed. That is Feazanthia's stance."
Logan laughed. "So, this is you answer? Do the rest of you agree with your ally here?"
OOC: Tag, may get involved later.
"Do you think we're total idiots?" he asked calmly. "It's quite apparent that you're after nothing more than taking over his territories. Obviously, your country won't stop unless it stops here. We're not going to let it continue. Period. No ifs, ands, or buts. Your country is going to stop or be stopped.
Zhang removed himself from the council with a scowl towards the Daikertan due to repeated pagings and calls from General Jia Yi in Ayur.
"What is it, Jia?"
"Listen to this, Yide."
At this, Jia Yi played a recording of a conversation just minutes earlier.
"General Jia Yi speaking, who is it?"
"This is Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong, Yi, I suggest you give me more respect."
"Yes, sir. What is it?"
"The last thing I want is our military wiped out defending some two-bit Muslim nation. We've paid our lip service, given some support, and that's as far as I want it to go. Do not involve Singapura in a war with a power we are not able to defeat."
"But sir, I--"
"No, Yi. Defend Ayur as long as retreat is possible. At the last moment retreat, giving a statement allowing Ayurian refugees into Singapura. I have bigger and better plans for our military. We need it intact for future operations. Understood, General?"
"Very well sir. I will defend Ayur as long as possible before withdrawing."
"Our military better come through this fine, Yi. See that your hotheaded subordinate gets the message. If he doesn't use some acumen at this council and screws this up, it's your head, Yi."

((I apologise in advance for the swearing))
It was then that Abbadon looked up at the man threatening them all.
"...Why don't you just piss off back to your bunker? Some people are trying to work here." He said harshly, co-ordinating more counter attacks on his PDA.
"I figured this much." the Maester replied, smirking. "Stop here, or be stopped, eh? We are going to destroy the terrorist camps within Ayur, either with you, or through you." With that, Logan got up from his seat and left the meeting room.
