Onboard 'Credonia One', Emperor Sutton sits at a desk, hands folded, eyes forward looking into a camera, prepared to give a small statement to the world.
"10 seconds sir....9....8....7....6....5....4..." says the camera man as he signals the last 3 seconds with his hand.
"Good morning my fellow Credonians, fellow friends, allies, and citizens of the world. Since the founding of Credonia, and this nations call to power, we have actively and aggressively pursued and defended our strong foreign policies. These policies dictate how we treat other nations of the world, and how we go about helping nations in need. Because of this aggressive pursuit and enforecement of our foreign policies, we have been labeled as an imperialistic nation, something that we are not. As Credonians, we are STRONG believers in the basic fundamentals of democracy, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We are strong believers in the ideal of freedom, indepentent national sovreignty, and justice. For these reasons and these reasons only have we acted, which is admittedly a form of neoimperialism. But i must stress, would not any nation that is a strong believer in its ideals do the same thing? Would they not try to impose their views upon the world? Even terrorists do. What makes us so different? Nothing. But it seems as if a change in policy, whether it be temporary or permanent, is needed by this government to regain the trust of nations in the international community that dislike, disapprove, or even hate us and all we stand for. For this reason, I, Emperor Alexander Nicolas Sutton will change how we act upon Credonia's foreign policy. We shall tone down the aggressiveness that we take towards enforcing it in all aspects except terrorism, which is running rampant throughout the world. We will not interfere in the affairs of other nations unless it is imperative that we do so. That is my pledge to the world.
On the issue of terrorism, Credonia will be just as aggressive towards its foreign policy towards terrorism, if not more aggressive. Worldwide terrorism is at record heights and is spiriling out of control. We must do something about these extremeists. Many nations are reluctant to get involved in the war on terror because they are afraid to fall victim to attacks, but that is what happens in war. This is a war to protect our people, our ideals, the world. This is a war to rid our world, or at least cut the number, or evil spirited people living in it, and in order to effectively do this, we must accept the fact that we are going to take losses. We should expect to take losses. We are a free people and have the right to live our lives in happiness, not in fear. For centuries, the fight for freedom has been bloody. Millions of men, women, and children have been killed, but it is because of them that we are living in a free world today. We must band together to fight these extremists. We will prevail. We MUST stop them, we MUST protect our people, we MUST have the resolve to find peace in our world, and most importantly, we MUST fight for our right to live. Thank you."
