The Krikkit Wars (OOC)

Just a thought, since RP has rather dropped off recently and since Roseways Little Total War never got started.

The Krikkit Wars would be much similar to the war described in Douglas Adams Life, the Universe and Everything (second sequal to The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy for those unlearned). A galaxy consuming conflict on every planet, everywhere featuring people of every tech level. Note that Krikkit is simply used as a sort of placeholder for whoever decides to take over as the manical xenophobic aliens.

The sides would most likely be Krikkit (or any other xenophobic world) and the rest of the galaxy. Of course, some people might ally with Krikkit, or something.

Krikkit would of course have HUGE military forces, and possibly deadly white cricket-loving robots with emotional problems. Their overall goal would be Galactic destruction. Since they are on such a HUGE scale it would be possible for more than one nation to RP as them.

The rest would be all the other worlds/countries in the galaxy, modern, future and even the past-techers, if there are any left. Of course, modern people would probably be stuck in defensive roles, but something could be worked out.

Any interest?

Sounds interesting... would (limited) magic be allowed?

*Points to own war against Dozle*

But I wish you the best of luck.

Sounds interesting. *goes off to design feindish techno-magical weaponry*

Perhaps I can get some nation with orbital capacity to haul a crew of Wyrms into the Junk Belt... there's sure to be some starships lying around in that mess.

And by the way... it's Krikkit, not Krikket.

Ahhh, people seem to have temporarily forgoten not to post in my topics :)

Anyway, this would be kind of like a wargame, none of the casualties would be real. Once the 'game' ended everything would go *poof* and instantly return to normal with no effect whatsoever on the 'real' NS world. Of course our Krikkiteers would also cease to exist.

I just hope that, if this gets going, we use NS Earth (huge, bristling with weaponry, surrounded by a "Junk Belt" of failed space-stations, ICBM parts, and other space-trash), and not HHGTTG Earth (small, "mostly harmless", destroyed by Vogons)

Anyone willing to haul a team into the Junk Belt so I can go prospecting for spacecraft?

It would be NS Earth, but of course the Aliens would have more firepower, simply to make it fair.

I'll join. Although my mediocre (A whopping three capital ship) spaceforce would most likely get creamed. :) It'll be fun.

I'll join, My nation has no Space fleet, But you'd be hard pressed to oppose us in a ground and sea war.

I'm sure there's many nations who could oppose Crossroads, Inc. in a ground/sea war and win. But one, more important tip, Crossroads;

Sentences after a comma (,) are not capitalized. Example:

Wrong: "My nation has no Space fleet, But you'd be hard pressed to oppose us in a ground and sea war."

Right: "My nation has no space fleet, but you'd be hard pressed to oppose us in a ground and sea war."

:Responding to above:

Heh, thanks for the spell check :) Gammer has never been my strong point, And yes, I should make no allusions about my 'Power' like most nations I can hold my own against most nations younger then me, and would probably loose against nation older then me, (thats just how things work here)

I would just like to think that ive have a lot more work put into my make belive forces :)

Well, do you have Microsoft Word, or something similar? Just writing your posts there, spell-checking them, and then copying them into Internet Explorer to post would make things a lot better.

Bump. Who wants to be the Evil Aliens(tm)?
The Vaxintorians could qualify as Evil Aliens, especially if a bit of magic is allowed.... I'd be happy to play the villian.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'd have the time to participate in this, seeing as how I've gotten involved in this (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=129821&highlight=).
