The President of Euroslavia, today, inacted a proposal made by Five Civilized Nations to colonize the Ursa Major Region in outer space, thus creating a space program for Euroslavia. The President sent his profuse thanks to 5CN for offering to guide Euroslavia to outer space, and looks forward to starting the progam as soon as possible.

--In Orbit Above Mars--

The last checks were made upon the colonization ships that the nation of Euroslavia would use in going to space. The five brand new vessels were the demilitarized versions of the Five Civilized Nations military transports of the Epsilon Class.

As per agreement, shuttles and short-range transport vessels from the Five Civilized Nations were made ready to ferry Euroslavian colonists from their nation to the Five Civilized Nations's Orbital Mars Base.

Meanwhile, a long-dormant long-range hyperspace warp terminal based in a secret military base in orbit around Neptune was reactivated preparing for the long-distance jump for the colonization vessels from the Sol System to the Leo I System and then to the Ursa Major Group

The President walked up to the podium at a press conference being held in Za-Breg to inform the people about the space program.

"People of Euroslavia, it is with great pleasure that we are formally announcing the opening of a space program within Euroslavia. We guarantee all of you, that with the help of Five Civilized Nations, we will be successful. The main purpose of this sudden starting of a space program is because, as you all know, Euroslavia is becoming very overcrowded with more than 1.25 billion citizens within such a small territory. We will be working out a deal to select people at random to have the opportunity to start a new life on a planet in the Ursa Major system, which is within 1 million light years. I guarantee you all that our purpose will not be to leave Earth completely, our main settlement will always be on Earth, but we need territory to expand upon. Earth is becoming very crowded. Some of you may like this, but others of you may want open spaces, where you can own up to miles of land, instead of only the land that your house is sitting on. We thank the nation of the Five Civilized Nations for their help in lending us the proper equipment to transport our citizens to our new found territory, and we look forward to good relations with them and their citizens. Thank you."

--In Earth Orbit Above Euroslavia--

A trio of short-range Io Class Transports arrived from the Moon, preparing to descend into Euroslavia and pick up the first of the colonists for the journey to Mars.

Escorted by a squadron of long-range Ranger Interceptors, the three transports slowly descended into the atmosphere.

This is Alpha Omega Prime to Euroslavian Air Control. Repeat this is Alpha Omega Prime to Euroslavian Air Control. Please respond over... We are a chartered flight from the Five Civilized Nations registered to pick up Euroslavian colonists, over...

This is Euroslavian Air Control. We received your message Alpha Omega Prime. Please proceed to the Za-Breg capital airport on the south edge of the city. The colonists have been chosen and have been sent to a special area in the airport (the northwest corner), in a large factory-looking complex, as to protect them from any suspicious people.

Help us!! Please!!! They are eating our citizens!!

Acknowledged... Beginning descent now...

The trio of transports began firing their powerful cushion rockets and began to slowly descend into the atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the squadron of Ranger interceptors peeled off and established a geosynchronic orbit over Euroslavia.

This is Pheta Squadron to Alpha Omega Prime... We will maintain a geosynchronic orbit over Euroslavia and await your return to orbit, over...

Acknowledged...

The bottom of all three transports glowed red as the friction raised the temperature to over 3000 degrees Fahrenheit...

The colonists all gathered into the factory, and were very excited about this opportunity. They are awaiting a new life on a new planet. It's time to start over...

"Attention! Everyone gather around! The Five Civilized Nations' spaceships will be arriving shortly, so I suggest everyone get prepared, and please get into line according to what we practiced earlier. Alphabetical Order everyone!"

At that time, the spaceships arrived, and everyone was in perfect order to gather on them. They caused no trouble at all, due to their new found respect for 5CN. They also awaited further orders to board the ships.

The first of the three transports landed in the airport, followed moments later by the other two transports. Moments later, the retractable landing ramps extended and a squad of marines descended from each transport, taking up positions along the flanks of each of the transports.

Moments later, Colonel Arnal Kiffel descended from the ramp and headed towards the gathered Euroslavians...

(OOC: Oh, okay... I wasn't really going to tangle with you folks on the planet... I joined that site, just cause I have a small shipyard in orbit above the North Pole...)

The ready Euroslavians listened to the Colonel and boarded the ships in an orderly manner. They were ready to start a new life. It wasn't long before everyone was boarded and seated. All they awaited was the spaceships to take off. Some people took pictures of Earth, knowing that they will never see it again...

The three transports prepared to take off, each filled with a thousand patriotic and willing Euroslavian colonists. Suddenly, the three activated their main fusion engines. As suddenly as they appeared, the three transports flew into the atmosphere, headed for Mars.

The transports bucked a little from the turbulence in the atmosphere, but had no real trouble. Exiting the atmosphere, the transports stopped to allow the Euroslavians a glance of their former home, Earth. The blue and beautiful Earth...

Each Euroslavian took their last look upon Earth, as they knew that they probably would never see it again.

"It's hard....ya know? This is where we've been all of our lives...not only that, we're going to be the first citizens of the nation to be leaving our country to another planet. It's something thats hard to sink into. I'll probably fall asleep, then wake up, thinking that I'm just having a dream right now, and that I'll walk out of my bedroom, into the open, and see the neighborhood. That's not going to happen. This is a new era for us Euroslavic pioneers. We get the chance to start over on a new planet. We won't start from scratch either. First things first, we need to make sure that we don't ruin this planet like we did previous. Pollution...wars...diseases...so much happened. We need to protect ourselves from letting things to become personal. We all need to stand united, as one nation, and make this the best planet out there. I want our colony to be the envy of the universe." said James Robertson. "I'm just an ordinary citizen, but I would like to run for some sort of office, as we set up a government of some sort. I know exactly what we should do to lead us the right way."

This being said on one of the transports to their new home. As they leave the atmosphere...

As the three transports exited the atmosphere, they were surrounded by the squadron of Ranger interceptors.

Colonel Arnal Kiffel walked slowly through the eager seated Euroslavian colonists. Glancing here and there, Colonel Kiffel felt some sixth sense tingling warning him of danger. Pertrubed, Colonel Kiffel proceeded to the cockpit of the transport...

The citizens were getting restless. They wanted to get to their new home asap, and didn't realize it would take this long. Most remained calm though, because when do you ever get the chance to start over your life on a new planet? For Euroslavians, this is the first. Everyone stayed calm and did their own thing. Most stared out into space, and witnessed all of the marvels of space traveling, although some weren't impressed, and slept...

Colonel Arnal Kiffel entered the cockpit of the first transport. Sitting in a chair next to the captain's chair, the colonel glanced at the captain.

Meanwhile, in the passenger seating areas, two squads of trained and wary space marines constantly patrolled, their weapons armed and ready.

In the midst of the Euroslavian passengers was a terrorist who believed in the non-colonization of space. He had infiltrated into Euroslavia. Now he was planning on disrupting the planned colonization of space. Calmly, the terrorist looked down and checked his satchel where a small biometal high-explosive device was contained. Smirking inwardly, he prepared himself to blow the device up.

James asked his wife, Are you ready for such a big change?

Jessica replied, Yea...I mean, I'll miss our old planet...all the things that we did have going for us. Entertainment was always good. Music...movies...things like that. One thing I won't miss is the political situation. Nation rising against nation, especially with the threat of nuclear warfare. I'm glad we're getting out of that mess, and hopefully, we can do things differently here.

I couldn't agree more honey, said James, this is a chance for us to start over again. I'm very excited about it, and I'm thinking about running for political office.

James, that's wonderful! exclaimed Jessica. Imagine that...the First Lady...

Now I don't know about going that far, but we're gonna have a great life here. We can finally raise a family too.

I've always wanted four children. Two boys and two girls. I hope they do well in school. I'm sure they will, having their father to help them out. said Jessica gleefully.

I can't wait to get there. I wonder what it's going to look like said James.

I hope it at least resembles Earth, a little bit. I did like the giant green trees, with birds chirping and playing in the water bath, and the flowers blooming in the Spring... I always love that. replied Jessica.

Well.. said James, It'll probably be ten times better than that. Now we should probably get a little rest before we get there. I definitely don't want to be tired when I arrive at our new home!

You're right..sighed Jessica.



They both went to sleep, awaiting a new life ahead of them.
