Last night in an unprecedanted battle, Royalist and Socialist forces faced off in central Algeria, where both sides threw considerable amounts of their military into the fight. Royalist forces were not destroyed, but forced to retreat further north, leaving 3/4 of the country in Socialist hands. Socialist forces have been receiving much more aid than the Royalists.
The Royal Algerian Army has retreated to such coastal cities as Algiers, the capital, where preparations are being made for the next rebel assault in the continuing civil war in Algeria.
OOC: There really is a civil war in Algeria, but it is between Socialist and Military forces, so I converted them into the Royalists.
