Pink Panther protests clog streets
A group called the Pink Panthers, a Gay and Lesbian rights support group, have launched protests in the streets of Jerusalem today. A protesting mob of 1000 Gay and Lesbian citizens are demanding respect and equal rights for their members and the end to discrimination from the Church and Moslems.
Spokesman Joeline Cramer said "Christians, Jews and Moslems want to ensure we stay at the bottom of society and out of the public eye. No more, we are here and no God is going to stop us demanding our rights". Some protesters waved placards with "F**ck God", "Allah is Gay" and "Jesus was Gay".
Religious leaders launched a united front with Bishop Jones speaking for the group "Christians, Jews and Moslems are opposed to these athiests polluting the sancity of our nation's three religious with their immoral activties. We respect their right to exist in this world, but their attacks on our religion cannot be ignored."
A government spokesman was quoted to have said "Most members of the protest are athiests anyway. They are not representative of the peoples of Jeruselem.".
