If I were you Lashuga, I would tighten up your security to prevent attacks from terrorists stopping your world cup from taking place.

Lashuga did beef up security at each one of the buildings. At every Entrance their are guards with metal detectors. Be fore you can get within 15 miles of the stadiums a SWAT team searches your car to look for bombs. And if you somehow miracously get through Police will be watching for suspicous movements such as reaching into your pocket and pulling out a gun. (Duh!) While the game is going on No one is allowed within 15 miles of the building which may seem like a lot but it's all to prevent those unwanted attacks.

FIB World Cup Preview Show

Tom: Hello and welcome to the preview show for the FIB World Cup. So far only two teams have entered teh tourney. Lashuga and Cuckooiasia. Dave, what do you think of Lashuga's starting five?

Dave: Well Tom, Lashuga has Jameer Nelson, fresh out of college, at their point. I don't know if that was a good decision. But JJ Redick is IN college right now but that kid can hit from anywhere. I don't really know what to say about the rest of the guys though. Luol Deng came from a war scared country and won't mind a whole stadium of boos. Which is unlikely seeing as how they are on their four home courts. But now a question for you Tom, what do YOU think of Cuckooiasa's starting five?

Tom: Only two words can describe their starting five, star studded. With Jason Kidd at point they have a solid ball handler not trying to be too flashy and lose the possesion. But after that it might as well all go downhill. All you Basketball fans sitting at home might ask why. With all those stars on their squad they are definetly going to implode. With Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Jermaine O'Neal, and Dirk Nowitzki they are going to all fight for the spotlight by shooting a million threes probably or trying outlandish dunks. The cuckooiasia team won't be able to make it to the Championship game you just watch.

Dave: Well thank you Tom. A viewer just e-mailed us this question, "Do you think that having a squad of almost all college kids will affect Lashuga in anyway." How I would answer that is that Lashuga has a young squad yes, but they are also a hardworking never give up kind of squad. It might make them a little vulnerable but not much.

Tom: No way! You couldn't be more wrong. Lashuga is going to lose in the first round because of their young squad. They are very vulnerable and are going to be attacked from all sides. The big difference for them is that the court is larger and threes are deeper. Also there is no zone in this tourney, you can always press with no mercy, adn the biggest is that they won't get as much rest from commercial timeouts because there are going to be no commercials for the first two rounds.

Dave: Well, that's all the time we have for today. But, when more nations come in to the toruney. We will be here to report on them. Goodnight

FIB Headquarters

Here are the rules for the tourney:

Same as NBA rules except; you have to press if your down by more than 8 points, no zone defense, no halfcourt traps, and no isolation plays.

How a winner is determined:

Very simple I assign each team 3 numbers each game and roll a dice. Then I make up a transcript of the game from Dick Vitale's (YEAH!) perspective.

FIB World Cup Preview Show

Tom: There was a late night entry yesterday as Novoya Rosiya submitted their rosters to FIB headquarters. Dave, what do you think about Phil Jackson's decision to bench MVP of the NRBA, Yakov Kulinich?

Dave: I think it was a great decision for Phil Jackson to make. Yakov can come in and hit the three from time to time, but he won't work well in Phil Jackson's triangle offense. Yakov, in my opinion, is also a ball hog. He should never have gotten MVP honors int the NRBA. He averaged 42.6 ppg, but his teams total point average was 79.5 ppg. He accounted for more than half his teams points almost every game. And then the choice to bring back MJ and put him on the bench at the start of the game. Do you think that's a wise decision Tom?

Tom: No, and now back to your regulary scheduled programs.
