Seversky

It had been 5 days since the Devine Intervention had left Severskian waters. No longer flying the flag of the Commonwealth, but the flag of The United States of Pilot, the Devine Intervention had been on the prowl for Edolian merchant shipping.
The orders handed to Captain Bueller had been specific. No ships other then Edolian were to be attacked. If the Devine Intervention was lost, the Commonwealth would not acknowledge their existence.
February 28th, 07:00:
The Devine Intervention had picked up 2 ships on radar during the night, and by dawn had caught up with them. They turned out to be the Edolian ships EMF-C-G271 and EMF-C-G272. Devine Intervention’s electronics room picked up their report, stating they had been hailed by a Pilot frigate. After hailing the 2 ships and coming along side of EMF-C-G272, Captain Bueller gave his order. The Devine Intervention's 7 inch gun tore into the hull of the EMF-C-G272, while a Sputnik missile struck '271 amidships. The '272 was crippled by the shells, and began to burn, while the '271 was nearly ripped in half.
the '272 had managed to get off a fragment of an emergency call before it was completely ripped apart by a second burst from the 7 inch gun of the Devine Intervention.
"So its begun," thought Captain Bueller to himself, "alright, lets get the hell out of here."
