"Gestalt: a unified whole; a configuration, pattern, or organized field having specific properties that cannot be derived from the summation of its component parts."

Gestaltism is a philosophy where mankind is an organized entity that is constantly improving and changing due to individuals. In the Gestaltism scenario the duty of the individual is to improve mankind. Gestaltism is also the belief that improving society is primarily done by staying within the boundaries of Morals and Ethics. Societies survive that function as a gestalt. Individuals are part of a gestalt because it benefits the individual. To prevent individuals from harming one another and thus harming society boundaries are created called morals. Morals make it so individuals can function within a Gestalt. Ethics are also a necessary part of the Gestalt because ethics allow for change. Ethics are an individuals beliefs separate from society. Acting on ethics reshapes society.

Morals: Boundaries set by society for individual benefit.
Ethics: Personal boundaries set by individuals to reshape society.

In Gestaltism individual rights are viewed as extremely important. The rights of the individual are only restricted when restriction of rights prevents individuals from being harmed.
