TDC Breaking News

A VistaAir airliner was shot down by an unknown source while approaching Credonian airspace. The airliner was carrying 200 passengers and there are no survivors from the incident.

The President of the Commonwealth has dispatched a Commonwealth Search and Recovery team to the area to recover the wreakage and bodies. President Antonio Carmona has vowed to capture whoever is responsible for the shooting of the airliner.

All Commonwealth Armed Forces units have been put on Condition 3 (moderate preparation for war) and are ready to strike any nation at any minute. Also, the nation's nuclear arsenal have been placed on the same alert status.

We will interrupt our normal broadcasts to bring you the latest from this incident.

The USN is willing to supply any military aid that is needed to bring these terrorists to justice

The Zoogie People declares this shameful act of terrorism as a 'fresh outrage' and vows to prevent the possibility of such a thing from happening again, as the airliner was shot by terrorists. Though we do not know Boa Vista well, we must unite against terrorism, and until grievances are pointed out against him, we will stand by him and protect his airlines.

We request permission to establish two air bases in your coutry with 15 F-22 Raptors, 25 Eurofighter Typhoons, and 15 ZF-27 Firebirds for patrol contained in them each, to patrol two sides of your nation against incoming threats to airliners, with support by E-3 Sentry AWACs and JSTAR units, as well as long range tankers - Kazakhstania's tanker version of his An-124 derivative.

A Carrier Battle Group has been deployed near Boa Vista waters. The CAW(Carrier Air Wing) is fly CAP(Combat Air Patrols) in international airspace. Once permission is granted the CAW will start flying missions inside Boa Vista airspace. Once the use of airfields is granted USNAF wings will move in. And once military bases and ports are open ground forces will move in to help search for the terrorists.

The only evidence of any external influence on the crash is a single news bulletin, and an apparant military build-up. Neither of these represent any concrete proof, the only way proof will be attained is if the black box flight recorders are recovered. Until that time the aircraft in question will be prohibited from flying in Shildonian airspace.

TDC BREAKING NEWS

The blackbox of the destroyed airplane has been recovered and was sent to the capital, Praia, for further analysis. Upon further wreakage search, an experimental radar was recovered and was also sent to a military facility for analysis. Upon analysis, the military facility has concluded that a missile was fired from an uninhabited island not owned by Credonia or any other nation. The island is known for terrorist activities in the past.

The President of the Commonwealth, Antonio Carmona, has addressed the nation earlier tonight regarding the incident. He sent condolences to the families affected by this tragedy and has vowed to destroy anyone who is involved in this incident.

Moments ago, I have received crucial information from blackbox analysis expert that the missile, in conjunction with the bomb that was planted by the secret terrorist organization in the nation of Grunz, caused the destruction of the VistaAir flight.

Moments ago, I have asked the Commonwealth Parliament to declare war on the terrorist organization, the request was approved without opposition. I hereby ask the leader of the nation of Grunz to grant me unrestricted access of their territories in an effort to search the terrorists.

Also, under the powers vested in me as the Executive Admiral of the Commonwealth Armed Forces, I have dispatched 3 aircraft carriers, along with a total of 50 jet fighters and 20 helicopters, to the area of the crash. They are ready to strike against any terrorist regiments on the island on a minutes notice.

All Commonwealth Armed Forces are now on Condition 1 (War In Progress). In addition, the Commonwealth Strategic Nuclear Forces are also on Condition 1 and an unspecified amount of missiles are now targeted against the island. The missiles are ready to launch on a minutes notice.

After extensive recon activities of the island that the missile came from, the Commonwealth Government has discovered that there is a huge base of terrorists on the island. There are 20 MiG fighter jets on the island, as well as a heavy concentration of anti aircraft missiles. I urge all of our allies to be careful when striking the island.

Under the power vested in me as the Executive Admiral of the Commonwealth Armed Forces, I have ordered a shore bombardment of the island by three battleships. Shore bombardment has begun about a minute ago.

TDC BREAKING NEWS

The Commonwealth Parliament Building in Praia was just struck by five air dropped bombs moments ago. Parts of the building, including the dome, have collapsed. No Members of Parliament were killed, but many people working in the mailroom and the security offices were seriously injured. Commonwealth President Antonio Carmona has evacuated the Presidential Palace and is now in an undisclosed location. In a short message, he urged all allies to strike the terrorists now.

"How could this have happened?" is what some of our pilots are demanding. Radar patrols have been increased, and we are doing the best we can to root out the enemy. And more than that, ensure that no unallied aircraft is to enter Boa Vistan aircraft.

All other aircraft will be told to leave, or be shot down. No questions asked.

The aircraft was launched outside of Boa Vistan airspace and flew beyond the range of any radar systems currently in existence. The fighters had to descend very quickly to drop the bomb. The fighters were unable to recover after the descent and crashed outside of the capital. All terrorists were killed.
