St. Ives Naval Systems Inc. (Magnificant class CVLN)

Scandavian States
27-02-2004, 22:34
Welcome to St. Ives Naval Systems Inc., your one and only source for a variety of carriers and other combat ships. Unlike our competitors at AVS and PDI who sell systems for different kinds of warfare, we only construct ships. Please be aware that we can only build fifteen ships at a time, so please be patient with any large orders.
*************************************************************

Perth class CVEN
Power Plant: One Nuclear Power Plant (A4W Pressurized Water Reactor)
Propulsion: 2 Lips 175/4 Waterjets configured for steering and reverse.
Length: 241.2 meters
Beam: 30.7 meters
Draft: 10.1 meters
Displacement: 21,000 tons standard and 26,800 tons fully loaded
Speed: 32.5 knots
Crew -
Ship's Company: 380
Air Wing: 240
Marines: 400
Systems:
Sampson Phased Array Radar
Marconi/Signaal S1805M Air/Surface Search Radar
Signaal Sirius IR Tracking System
Ferranti/Thomson Sintra 2050 sonar
Prairie Masker System
4 Sippican SRBOC 6-barrelled Mk 36 decoy launchers
AN/SLQ-25A Nixie torpedo countermeasures system
Armament:
2 Mk44 CAMDS (Two mile range; 8,000 rounds for minigun and 16 mini-missiles)
1 Mk59 48-cell VLS for Harpoon ASM, Fasthawk CM, or Standard TDMs (two per cell if using Standard missiles)
2 Thor 8-cell VLS for SM-2 type or similar
Two Aircraft Elevators
Capable of carrying up to 24 Aircraft
Price: $1.2 Billion
NOTES: Definately a throwback to WWII era multirole carriers, it makes up for its lack of aircraft with some serious armament. Capable of launching ninety-six Harpoons or Fasthawks, it has more direct offensive armament than some cruisers. Even though it may not look like it, the hull is rather stealthy, and the ship is covered with a sound-absording rubber coating and is lousy with counter-systems. If you need a carrier but can't afford something like a Nimitz, this is definately one way to go.

Amagi class CVEN
Power Plant: Two Nuclear Power Plants (A4W Pressurized Water Reactor)
Propulsion: 4 Lips 175/4 Waterjets configured for steering and reverse.
Length: 232.5 meters
Beam: 56.3 meters
Draft: 9.6 meters
Displacement: 22,000 tons standard and 27,900 tons fully loaded
Speed: 41 knots
Crew -
Ship's Company: 395
Air Wing: 345
Marines: 150
Systems:
SPY-6S 3D Phased Array Radar
Prairie Masker System
AN/SLQ-25A Nixie torpedo countermeasures system
Armament:
4 Mk44 CAMDS (Two mile range; 8,000 rounds for minigun and 16 mini-missiles)
1 Mk59 48-cell VLS for Harpoon ASM, Fasthawk CM, or Standard TDMs (two per cell if using Standard missiles)
2 Sippican SRBOC 6-barrelled Mk 36 decoy launchers
Two Aircraft Elevators
Capable of carrying up to 32 Aircraft
Price: $2.5 Billion
NOTES: Because this ships is based on the hull of racing boats, it is fast. That same hull allows for extreme levels of stealth, even without the radar absorbing coat that the ship is covered in. The reduction in the number of necessary systems as well as the addition of a flag bridge allow the Amagi to be used as the flagship of a battlegroup. This ship is better suited to escort and strike roles than the Perth, but at $2.5 Billion per ship that is expected.

Magnificant class CVLN
Power Plant: Two Nuclear Power Plants (A4W Pressurized Water Reactor)
Propulsion: 4 Lips 175/4 Waterjets configured for steering and reverse.
Length: 280.6 meters
Beam: 76.5 meters
Draft: 11.9 meters
Displacement: 45,200 tons standard and 59,800 tons fully loaded
Speed: 32 knots
Crew -
Ship's Company: 820
Air Wing: 1,140
Marines: 100
Systems:
APAR-10 3D Search Radar
Prairie Masker System
AN/SLQ-25A Nixie torpedo countermeasures system
Armament:
3 Mk44 CAMDS (Two mile range; 8,000 rounds for minigun and 16 mini-missiles)
1 Mk59 48-cell VLS for Harpoon ASM, Fasthawk CM, or Standard TDMs (two per cell if using Standard missiles)
1 Mk41 32-cell VLS for Tomahawk, TacTom, Fasthawk, or Harpoon
2 Sippican SRBOC 6-barrelled Mk 36 decoy launchers
Two Aircraft Elevators
Two electromagnetic catapults
Capable of carrying up to 48 Aircraft
Price: $4 Billion
NOTES: Bigger and more adapted to typical carrier grunt work than either of our CVENs, this ship is for those countries who want a serious naval threat but don't want to go with a Nimitz or something bigger like the infamous Red Dragon class. While not as stealthy as the Amagi, it was designed to make detection a more difficult task for aircraft like the Backfire bomber.

On behalf of Bree Tonia, i would like to compliment your nations hard work on this ship, it is an amazing vessel to view. As i am a recently established nation, if i were to buy one, it would have to be only one, unfortunately, so i hereby order one of the Perth class CVEN. Thanks to you

First, we at St. Ives Naval Systems would like to thank you for your interest in the Perth class. Second, as Scandavian States is in fact a capitalist nation, SINS is not the Imperium's only shipbuilding interest, just its largest and does not belong to the state. Lastly, a credit check has revealed that although you can indeed afford a Perth, it would be at the expense of the rest of your military for a year and we cannot in good conscience allow your soldiers and equipment to suffer below standard conditions for a single ship. We encourage you to place your order at such a time as you can adequately provide for your all of your armed services, even with the purchase of one of these magnificant ships.

35 Amagi Class CVEN - 2.5 Billion

$87,500,000,000

The FEF President, Reiko Hidama, would like to purchase the above order for the FEF Navy to add a quick response element to the ASBGs.

We at SINS thanks you for your interest in the Amagi class and happily accept your order. Expect the first fifteen in five years time, the next fifteen five years after that, and the last five in eighteen months time. We hope your navy finds these ships enjoyable to operate.

How far would $22,500,000,000 go to grease the wheels of production?
Scandavian States
28-02-2004, 03:55
Nowhere, we always produce ships at the fastest peace-time levels we can while still ensuring quality. In fact, the last batch can be done faster because we'll have more equipment to construct the last five ships.
Eternal FIame
28-02-2004, 03:56
Towards creating more ship yards perhaps?

Better yet, what would it take, from me, to increase the production?
Scandavian States
28-02-2004, 04:07
Do you have any open drydocks? We've got the manpower, we just need the spaces to build the ships. And the sale of the ships alone will be more than enough to get a second set of drydocks set up in Alexandria, although the offer is appreciated.
Hiroshiko
28-02-2004, 04:12
The nation of Hiroshiko wishes to buy 5 Perth class CVEN(s)

1.2 billlion x 5 = $6 billion

We will convert our currency to meet the exchange rate of your country.
Eternal FIame

I didn't want you to loose profit from the sale, thus the offer of funds towards new ship yards/drydocks/etc nescessary in creation of these fine ships. I do have open drydocks at the Gemini Island Ship Yards (Four drydocks) and the Port St. Ember Ship Yards ( Six drydocks). Currently main land FEF ship yards are busy in production of Arsenal Ships.
Scandavian States
28-02-2004, 05:12
Very well, I suppose we can use the money to expand the St. Ives yards and construct twenty drydocks instead of the fifteen planed in Alexandria. A batch of ten ships will be constructed in your dockyards at the same time as the fifteen in our yards and the last ten will also be constructed in your yards to facilitate quicker delivery.

Hiroshiko, we find your credit line satisfactory enough for our purposes. Your order is confirmed and construction on your five ships will begin in five years time and be complete eighteen months after that. Please accept our applogies for not being able to start construction immediately.

NOTE: Because of our new infusion of cash, the Alexandria yards will begin construction immediately and the St. Ives yards will be expanded to twenty drydocks. Construction should be complete in five years and eighteen months respectively.
Ancient and Holy Terra
28-02-2004, 05:39
The Republic of Ancient Terra would like to place an order for 15 Amagi-class CVENs to supplement our Nimitz and Trimaran Aircraft Carriers. Total price comes to 37.5 billion dollars. We understand that there is a backlog of vessels, and will accept delivery whenever as long as quality is not compromised. Thank you.

Your nation's reputation preceeds you and we are happy to have such illustrious customers. The Imperial Navy has just finished refits on its fleets, so we're sure that we can get permission to use some of the Navy drydocks for your ships. If we can, the ships will arrive in batches of five every five years.

OOC: Yep, all of my land and sea warfare systems are kitsune and mischa work. Of course, the don't use the future tech components like the guass cannons or lasers, but the basic design is kept intact.

Oh, and a bump for good luck.

You're order is confirmed and money is accepted. We're happy that the Amagi has lived up to your expectations. Expect some smaller surface combatants as well as a battleship to be available for purchase in the near future.
Callisdrun

Callisdrun builds its own ships, because of its long naval tradition. Earlier, Callisdrun was building foreign orders, but that has stopped due to the regional war. Almost all yards are currently occupied
