Not so long ago, all religions were totally banned from Limavady apart from 1, the 1 religion allowed to stay was the Dictator's own. And after only a short period of time, we have found those who disobey the orders of the state, who feel that they are "above the law"

These 5 men were found holding religious ceremonies illegally, and so the Dictator has decided that an example must be made. GUARDS, EXECUTE THEM!

The Commonwealth of the Logarchy issues its strongest and most unreserved condemnation of the acts committed in the name of the Dictator of Limavady, and issues the following ultimatum:

You will rescind capital punishment for non-approved religious practices in your nation at once and submit to international human rights inspections, or you will face severe consequences up to and including war. Your human rights abuses will not continue under pain of annihilation of your government.

The Commonwealth of the Logarchy demands response and acquiescence within forty-eight hours, at which point our nation will begin mobilizing for troop deployment if our demands have not been met. You have been warned.

This statement is made on behalf of the nation of Limavady.

For many years the government has handed out funds to various religious organisations without receiving anything in return. Religion is always a "mood" point and lots of extreme violence breaks out over it, Northern Ireland for example. A vote was taken, one of the few votes that the nation of Limavady has authorised its citizens to take part it, to see what would be done. To keep the various religions, or to disband them all, make them illegal and start a new religion based on various aspects of the previous.

The vote, which might I add was held faily, gave results of 61% for the idea of stopping all forms of religion. Limavady no longer has any racial bigot's, nor do we have any violent acts from citizens between those of a difference religion, crime as a whole is also a lot lower than it has been for a long time.

A statement was issued giving all religious groups time to declare themselves closed in each particular area and leave. They were given a government subsitity to move their churches to areas outside of Limavady which most did. These 5 men choose not to.

As shown in the original broadcast we do not mind what is done outside our nation, citizens are free to do as they wish. But within the nation citizens must stick by the rules, especially the ones that they themselves voted for.

The religious leaders involved were offered a chance to leave the nation to continue their practices, or to convert to the religion adopted by Limavady. Those that choose not to were delt with in a manner than General Chicankov wanted to in order to maintain order.

As a member of the United Nations our human rights follows well within most of the means set, and we act accordingly with every resolution issued.

In conclusion this was done mainly as an example of how disobedience to the rules, of any kind, will result in a punishment. At no point was captial punishment ever declared for those practicing different religons, it was used only this once by General Chicankov to keep other beliefs out and to keep our crime, and religious assaults down. Again as specified by the people.

If the nation of The Logarchy wishes to discuss the matter further the Dictator has stated that he will hold a private meeting if requested.

The Commonwealth of the Logarchy stands behind its outright condemnation of the executions of these Limavadian citizens and Limavady's application of the death penalty to the crime of believing in something the Dictator of Limavady does not. The fact that you chose to be inconsistent in your application of the rules in this case by applying capital punishment to these offenders only further indicates the evil and corruption that has spread within the heart of Limavady.

Furthermore, you are in violation of the Religious Tolerance resolution enacted 21 June 2003, the Fair Trial resolution enacted 13 July 2003, the Universal Bill of Rights resolution enacted 8 August 2003, and the Due Process resolution enacted 13 August 2003.

We find your explanations and justifications insufficient to excuse your flagrant violations of the previous resolutions. You have overstepped your bounds as a U.N. member and thus shall be brought back into compliance with U.N. law pursuant to Article 10 and 11 of the Rights and Duties of U.N. States resolution enacted 24 February 2004, subject to international cooperation.

Now that you have informed us of the particular circumstances surrounding the execution of these religious dissenters, we offer the following amended list of demands:

Comply with all U.N. resolutions.
Provide significant monetary recompense and apologies to the families of those executed.
Submit to U.N. human rights inspections and do not interfere with the work of said inspections.

The consequences promised in Entry J-5009 in the Uniform Code of Communications will be carried out should these demands not be met.

The Commonwealth of the Logarchy strongly urges you to stand down your nuclear arms, as it is our belief nuclear arms should only be used in self-defense, and nuclear weapons would cause excessive harm to the civilian population.

We would, however, gladly welcome your conventional military aid should Limavady not stand down and obey U.N. resolutions.

Nuclear fallout will still kill millions, if these buildings are in populated areas. I suggest use of conventional weapons or, at most, bunker busting nuclear weapons. A direct intervention would also work.

Please, everyone, let's keep nuclear weapons out of this. There are conventional military- and diplomatic- solutions to this problem. Let us exhaust them first.

(Threats of Nuclear weapons are good for dictators, they usually will choose to save their own hides then get blown to hell. And if I did use nuclear weapons it would be tactical nukes against military bases and airfields with bombs with a 1kt yield or less, not against civilian targets with massive H-bomb attacks)

The Upper Cet Kola Ytovian Calere has issued a statement congradulating the Dictatorship of Limavady for eliminating the racial bigots and backward thinkers that typify the religious and remaking your society in the image set forth by your benevolent and wise dictator. In doing so, you have followed the example of many of the great shining lights of the world, such as Pol Pot.

Unfortunately, we in the D.U.C.K.Y. are not quite as enlightened. We have supposed that if political freedoms are extended to all, that government representation is extended to all and all are allowed to prosper, regardless of race, gender or religion, that we could create a society of tolerance and that those who are hateful and bigotted would be marginalized. Of course, now we see the light, and realize that our apparent growing peace and prosperity is obviously a sham, but we fear it is too late for us to change our ways. We are happy to see that unlike us, you have stripped off the encumberances of lesser religions and instituted more enlightened laws, such as the death penalty.

At the current time discussions are being had, the law agreed by the people cannot be changed without major discussions with them. The main religion shall stay as is, and be taxed (OOC: As said in the NS Issue sent to my nation "in game"). And as already stated numerous times people are free to do as they wish on the outside of the main nation.

We shall defend ourselves where possible against any threat, and we shall do that by diplomatic or military means.

In response to your comment yes there will obviously be some bigots in our society. The aim of having 1 religion is to reduce this as much as possible, and so far it is indeed working. People have the choice to be in this religion, follow no religion or worship outside of our nation (on the boarders). And the vote, which the government had no influence over, can be recounted if wished. But the results will just be as stated due to the large % of the population being atheists.

And can I just repeat again what I have already stated, the death penalty issued was used once. It has only ever been used once and was not just an example for enforcing our religion law, it was to show that those that refuse to abide by the laws of our nation will be delt with. Each man was given the opertunity to practice their religions outside the nation or convert. One man decided to convert, the other to go to the newly developed churches on the boarder of our nation.

To the nation of Upper Cet Kola Ytovian Calere, to be compared to Pol Pot is a huge over exageration to say the least, especially as we do not believe in torture or genocide. And it is rather an insult.

Limavady has indeed granted access to U.N. human rights inspections and has promised not to interfere with the work of said inspections so long as the inspections only are done on the specific areas of human rights. It has also been acknowledged that although Limavady tries to stay within the boundries of all U.N. resolutions there are some which we are not, and we will try and find a method to solve this as stated by The Logarchy. After the first communication from The Logarchy a was sent, but as of yet no reply has been received.

The Calere of Upper Cet Kola Ytovia has conferred and has decided that the Dictator of Limavady is, after all, correct is saying that the comparison between his government and that of Pol Pot is less than accurate.

This does not excuse the actions of the government of Limavady, however. Limavady is in the process of systematically coercing its citizens to either be arrested and jailed, then exiled from their homes or to give up their own beliefs. It is the position of the government of Upper Cet Kola Ytovia that the government of Limavady is in violation of basic human rights, that the actions said government constitute an "Inquisition" (perhaps somewhat different from that of Ferdinand and Isabella, but an "Inquisition" nonetheless), and far from reducing the number of bigots in their country, has actually increased the bigotry in said country, and given the bigots an outlet to exercise their bigotry.

All three houses of the Lagukrof have passed a resolution condemning the acts of the government of Limavady mentioned here: Senate vote 29-1, House of Commons vote 121-2 (2 abstained), House of Representatives vote 125-0.

Limavady you will cease killing Catholics immediately or Belem will reduce your entire country to rubble.

What has been done has been done. They have made their examples. And as much as as disagree with it, as we disagree with their banning religion, we will not send troops in.

We will, however, send troops in if you continue killing people, as that is considered genocide. And, a little tidbit, the NWO does not like genocide, and will fight it, too.
