The Leviathan-class Sea Control Ship is the next generation of advanced Federation naval submarine engineering. It serves as a land attack cruise missile ship, unmanned combat vehicle carrier, and staging point for special operations - deliverable by either stealthy transport or amphibious bipedal units. A small operations & command crew is complimented by the latest Sterling Robotics automated ship support units. Weapons onboard include supercav torpedoes, the aforementioned missiles and UCVs, and a composite close-in defense system comprised of blinding lasers and supercav projectile guns.
The first in its class, FNS Leviathan, departed the Abyssinia Naval Yards for sea trials this week.

Will you be selling the ships/plans any time soon? If so I wish to place an order.
Not that you could afford it...

The Leviathan-class will not be up for sale any time soon. However, older submarines in the Naval Forces inventory are being prepared for sale as they are decommissioned.
For example, the Orca-class fast attack submarine:

I have a question. How many submarines can a nation of 7 million afford, in your opinion?

Jagiellonia, I wasn't going to buy them straight away, but was asking in the interest of everyone here. Also, I might have bought one when I was bigger.
I have no interest in the Orca sub. I just wanted a powerful sub to defend by shores.
Actually, I was asking for myself.....

I gathered that, I was merely refering to your first post here.
OCC: Before this gets out of hand I'm going to stop this argument.

According to http://www.jpatt.net/files/toys/nscalc.html
you would have a military budget of about $5 billion a year. You could afford, at most, a handful of patrol submarines. No more than six, I would say.
But those six would take up my whole budget, right?
Um, could you do me a favor? Could you look over my military here: http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126853
and tell me if I need to downsize/upsize anything?

Yeah it would. My Military budget is 19billion.

Easily. You might even have to set up a rolling payment schedule for them to keep from breaking your budget. After all, you do have to maintain what you've got already.
I see what you're saying.

I'd cut the number of fighters by 30-35, especially if those are maintenance-intensive aircraft.
Cut the number of corvettes to 8 and the number of frigates to three.
Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. I'll get right on that.

My pleasure.
The Federation Navy has released this image of the Leviathan on its sea trials. It was reportedly testing its sea floor obstruction avoidance software in the Garrett Naval Testing Range, which includes the submerged first-century city of Abalone.

The Federation Navy invites representatives from its allies and neutral states for an external tour of the Leviathan and a short surface ride.
