A group of protesters stood outside the Capitol building, waving signs and chanting catchy phrases about the injustices of the Masarean government. Their leader, a small, mousy woman by the name of Erin Ladd, held a bullhorn and addressed her group. "We will not live under the injustices of Aeril Yttra any more! We need elections!"

A roar arose from the crowd. "We need less government control!"

Another roar. That was as far as the protest got before a group of Masarean crowd-control troop began to toss tear gas into the rally. No warnings were issued; in the next few minutes, hundreds of people were arrested, including their leader.

"We are here today to witness the executions of the noted terrorist Erin Ladd! She has attempted to lead the people in a revolt against my rightful rule, and has violated the laws set in place. Her death should be a lesson to you all; you are subjects of the Masarean Empire! All criminals shall be dealt with harshly."

That said, Aeril Yttra, Dictator-for-life of Masarea, pulled the pistol from his belt and walked to the guards, who held a ragged, bloodied form by the arms. She, if it was indeed a female, had quite obviously been tortured; she lacked fingernails, what skin was left seemed either charred or bruised, and where her eyes used to be existed to empty, burned-out holes. The voice, raspy and soft, issued the following statement. "I... apo... apolo... was wro...ng," she managed before stopping for a moment, "people shoul...should listen to the gov..."

She fainted. A quick slap to the face from the guardsmen, one on either side, brought her into enough of a state of consciousness for her to be able to feel what was going to happen next. Aeril brought his pistol down and, barrel level with her forehead, executed her.

Over the next few weeks, a public guillotine was erected and, fifteen a day, the other native protesters were beheaded. Their mangled bodies were buried in shallow mass graves, and their assets seized by the government as recompense for "rebel behavior."

As the wheel would turn, a few protesters had come from foreign nations. Aeril Yttra released a statement condemning the terrorist acts of other nations on his soil, and informed their native lands that there would be an execution for the prisoners "soon," though a time was not announced.

Military units became a more and more frequent sight on the streets of Masarean cities and towns. Defense spending was at an all-time high.

As the president of Catania-Marinov presses 'the button' signalling the countrys defense to red alert.All military personel who are in reserves are now ready for transport..Forces started to get ready planes loaded with cargo.The navy had begun its readiness also..The country would not stop red alert untill a peace treaty was ready..a military officer steps up to a podium and begins to speak.."Today at 6:06 PM(malta time) the country has gone to red alert and are reading for an invasion or peace keeping..Men and women are urged to join the armed forces or a reserve unit..Thank you."

Although we do not agree with the people who go against the government, violence is the way that stupid leaders react to it. Your foolish behavior will one day cost you your life and your rulership.

Perhaps you could have eliminated all protests for good had you come to a comprimise, such as a few more freedoms. But now you are looked down upon in the international community and you risk open revolution.

The men were woken from their beds and pushed out into the BlackHawk helicopters, barely enough time to get their stuff together much less ask questions. The Special Forces memebers pick up a startling amount of weapons in the back, feeling each one. After 40 minutes each of the 12 members has choosen their weapons. Each weapon is silenced and each person carries at least one pistol and one automatic weapon.

"Sir, when will our other forces arrive?"

"Depends on how well you do. Nothing on you can be placed to Telliria. You are expected to die rather than surrender, however we need you back so do you job well, and don't make much of a rucus until you have the dictator in your hands and at gunpoint. Should things heat up then use this." he hands each of them a small device with a red button on it. "It will give us the ok to come in and pick you up, however it will only be active for 1 hour after you press the button. Then it will fry itself from the inside."

They are close to the landing zone, and so far have not been detected by radar or sight.

Emporer, surly you see that it is wrong to kill in such a way. If the protested had been armed then it would be another matter. But they where not. I have had acts of treason, but we do not kill them we send them to jail.

Actually Stealth planes can be detected...though it is damn near impossible there's still like a 10% chance of detection..

We would like to voice our condemnation of the following nations:

Masarea - for their brutal executions
Aust - for their terrible diplomacy and actions against a soviegn nation.


We abhor the the scene we have seen today in what will be looked down upon for many years by the Iuthian people. We will withdraw all trade with the nation of Masarea, placing a trade embargo agaist the nation.

These actions are in objection to the poor judgement in executing protesters..


As for Aust's actions, they have launched an ungodly amount of Cruise Missiles at a nation with little concideration to the people of said nation. Worst yet we can see no plausable reason for this attack. Masarea has not done anything against Aust and are following their own laws, while we may object to them they are a soviegn nation and we must respect the laws they have given themselves.

And so we will be extending our trade embargo to cover the nation of Aust and any other nation that would attack this nation.

For crying out loud, they didn't even try diplomacy...

Yet they are attacking and killing innocent men, women and children as we speak. It should come as no surprise that Aust is trying to interject itself. When the country has shanty-towns popping up in the suburbs of major cities, and when there are protesters up in arms over the nuclear power stations being created, it would seem that this invasion would be the perfect DIVERSION.

Aust has tried to project their own failings onto another country, and is now making Masarea pay for Aust's own mismanagement. The Holy Empire of Edmundae asks that the international community step in and help protect the innocent people of Masarea."

Aust fired 2500 Cruise missiles into the nights sky as 120 Bombers took off. 5 Stelth bombers supported by stelth fighters headed for the western boarder to bomb the defences into submission.
600 ASS climed into 60 bombers for a para-drop on the western boarder. All the planes where supported by equal numbers of fighters.

OOC: So I take it you are near their nation huh? Afterall, don't you have to mobilise forces first, then move then near the nation and then make your attack, allowing for possible defences?

Remeber these craft all have range.

The Calere has issued an executive order barring citizens of the Dominon of Upper Cet Kola Ytovia from travelling to Masarea. A non-binding resolution condemning the actions of Aust was introduced in the House of Representives and the House of Commons, but both were defeated (votes were 65-60 against in the HoR, 77-48 in the HoC). The Senate has taken no action.

While Iuthia has already condemned Masarea for their acts we would like to point out they are a sovreign nation and as such while their laws may be against our principals we should not declare war on them if they are not doing anything agaist us.


Should you declare war with this complete lack of diplomatic effort put in we will be forced to add your nation to the trade embargo which is already in place against the nation of Aust.

We are appalled to think so many nations are so eager to declare war on other nations. Perhaps they want the land for themselves...

Austian cruise missiles crashed into the poor section of Masarea, killing thousands upon thousands of civilians. As if that weren't enough, bombers from the evil Austian nation attacked the Masarean city of Goda, killing thousands more and collapsing structures, trapping innocents in a fiery casket.

Fighter support was quickly provided; fifty planes flew in defense of Goda.

Images of this, and more, played behind "President for Life" Yttra stood in front of his traditional podium.

"Aust's cruise missiles have hit the ancient city of Goda. Combined with a horrific attack by its bombers, we estimate our CIVILIAN casualties at twenty-thousand so far. Numbers are still coming in. We thank the nations who have offered their aid, and accept it gratefully."

(OOC: I mentioned AA weapons, and I did notice, but IC you're right, I didn't actually do anything. >.< Dagnubbit... and I don't have the time to respond again for a couple hours. >.<)

As the general gets onto the CO of all forces he says "pull out,pull out now" the CO did as he was ordered notified everyone and the ships moved back home..the question is 'why'

We are pleased that some nations have pulled out of conflict with Masarea though we are anoyed that it took a large nation like Garrison II to make you see why it is a bad idea to invade a nation over the execution of protesters...

Iuthia's condemnation of Masarea will remain dispite Garrison II's involvement, however we would like to note that we have always respected this nations right to exucute "criminals"... we just feel that they are too ready to do so and will continue to ban trade to and from our nation to Masarea.

It is our hope that Aust and Aust's allies follow suit in standing down to avoid more pointless kiling. If they pull out now we will remove our trade embargo immediately.

The Holy Empire of Edmundae withdrew its medical units from Masarea this afternoon after increasing worries that their civilian aids were to be harmed.

Aust has continued its brash attacks and continues to kill innocent people whom they have no jurisdiction over.

The Holy Empire of Edmundae accounted for all of its medical staff and they are en route back to the country.

Of course, once they get here, they will be put in quarantine for 48 hours. We do not want any of their diseases coming to our lands.

We did not pull out because a bigger country...We left because of the civilian cassualties Aust caused and we did not need the blame..When this is over we will be sending medical help to help civilians...IF were accepted of course...

The Commonwealth of Polonia-Lithuania condemns the Evil Empire of the Dictatorship of Masarea for executing people for exercising their right to protest and petition for redress. Accordingly, we invite all political dissidents from that country to immigrate into ours (especially since boat people usually have job skills and initiative :D) and enjoy our political freedoms and thriving economy!

Over the next few weeks, a public guillotine was erected and, fifteen a day, the other native protesters were beheaded. Their mangled bodies were buried in shallow mass graves, and their assets seized by the government as recompense for "rebel behavior."

Citizen-Commodore Alyssa Covington stood on the bridge of the Battle-cruiser Kodiak, one of the finest ships in the People’s Navy. This ship has the speed of a cruiser and nearly the firepower of a battleship. However being a Flag unit in the PN, it was heavily modified; It carried only 4 14 inch main guns in (two per turret one fore one aft), the rest of the ship was heavily laden in Sam missiles for point defense, Phalanx Gun clusters, and flak. The most impressive anti-ship weapon onboard was the duel launch Shipwreck SSM’s capable of killing ships over 200 miles out. It was a veritable floating fortress, with a sleek sexy design, much like her Commodore Alyssa thought to herself noticing how good she looked in her black leather uniform.

There would be no time for that on this mission though, she was being sent into an ever growing conflict, with insufficient forces at her disposable.

Firstly I acted brashly, I was really p**d of with the world last night. I didn't try deplomacy, I admit it I was wrong. I also didn't consider the factor such as the range of planes, again I was wrong. I apolagise.
I shall withdraw my troops at once and will send £500,000 pounds of money to the famillys of those killed as compensation, though I know through experiance that it will never be enough, after all 950 million Austians where killed by Elvindom, in an unprovoked nuklear attack. I wish for peace.
I now realise that what happens in another persons nation is none of my bisness, (Mabey Credonias rubbing off on me.) I ask for diplomatic talks and a cease fire. But their is no excuse for what I have done. I have killed people for no reason though I still feel that excicutions are wrong I appologise. I ask for forgivness.

That is why we have economic sanctions and diplomacy, a great many nations in the world treat their protesters poorly. Some just use police brutality and some even go as far as executing them.

However, this is their law... intervention is dangerous because a great many nations have tough laws that may not be liked by the rest of the world, but if we act against a nation because we can't abide their laws then others will take notice and mark you as a threat to the world, they don't want you to look at them next and say that their laws are wrong.

This is why we have to step carefully, firstly we tell them it's wrong, we condemn them, maybe even go as far as trade embargoes and other diplomatic action... but war is the last resort, it's serious and it needs a very good reason.

The incident with Elvindom was terrible, and we are still working with your people to clean up what we can... but it goes to show that we have to be careful in this world.

All this said, we will withdraw our trade embargo against your nation now, it's not been in effect long enough to have any sustainable damage (if any because we don't trade much with you).

Just remember that diplomacy is more then "We will declare war on you if you don't stop that" there are better way then this.



Meanwhile Iuthia's trade embargo remains against the nation of Masarea for their over-reaction to protesters against the current government. Caution should be taken when dealing with dessent, being too harsh can breed more hate which could eventually harm your nation...

However, we understand that your nation has it's ways, we are just withdrawing trade because we cannot trade with a nation with such lack of moral.

Should you wish to return to civilisation Masarea we will concider opening trade routes again, however for the time being will cannot support such actions.

I know I over reacted and I'm sorry. I'm putting a trade embargo in place.

The Alllanean planes are coming in for a second run, again, carrying weapons and anti-Masarean government propaganda.

Masarean anti-aircraft weapons load and prepare to fire, after detecting planes on the horizon (Illanea's). Fighter pilots hop into the cockpits of their planes, and prepare to intercept the propagandists.

Jo Slaoe, a resident of Masarea, watches pieces of paper fall from the sky. As the first hits the ground, he bends down and picks it up. Looking at it, he can make no sense of the markings on the page. Turning it first left, then right, and finally upside down, he still cannot understand it. Due to vastly limited funding for public education and social welfare, he cannot read.

Weapons are picked up by other civilians, but many are content with the structured, politically-absent policies of the Masarean government. Others have the weapons confiscated; a few fire upon government troops, but are quickly killed. (OOC: And you have to admit, firing upon people firing on you is justified.)

Aeril Yttra stands at his famed podium. "We have recieved a request from Aust, mentioning a cease-fire and reparations for those killed in the bombings. Peace talks are being scheduled as I address you, the people. We thank the Austian leader for his willingness to not destroy the sovereignty of the Masarean people any more than has already occured.

"As to the recent reports of weapons falling from cargo planes, we request that you bring the weapons to designated military centers for use in the Masarean military, or to register such weapons for hunting or militia purposes.

"A great hoorah is in order for those who have come to our aid; it is not always easy to protect oneself against larger attackers, and we would doubtless not have been able to do so without the aid of our great and powerful allies."

OOC: Casualties were slim, approximately 2,500. Most weapons were picked up by loyal citizens or confiscated from not-so-loyal citizens. Few made it into the hands of actual violence-capable dissidents. This is evident in my last post.

Catherine resumed typing on the laptop before her on the desk and Secretary of State Arthur Meade walked out, speaking to a small man at his side as he left. The man quickly dashed ahead of him to set up a press meeting.

A reporter, looking concerned says, "It seems as if President Nitchens has made a decision having to do with the current situation in Masarea. Secretary of State Arthur Meade will speak to us shortly on the matter."

"People of Carthiana, due to the recent events in Masarea, the President requests that all people consider joining the army in case we should have to go to war in defense of the noble dictator of Masarea. We all believe strongly in a nation's ability to choose its own laws and execute them in any fashion it pleases. Also, the growing terrorist threat must be crushed, and we feel that the fastest way to this end is to aid Masarea at this time. In a few hours our naval defenses will be deployed and military forces will be transfered over land to Masarea. We would greatly appreciate the aid of the people in our efforts to make a peaceful, fair world for all to live in."

The Empire of Free Rebellion feels it cannot stand by and not comment upon the current state of affairs. News reached us only recently about the executions, although it is clear they happened some time ago.

This government, although in permenant state of turmoil and political change, recognises execution for speaking one's views to be a serious misconduct. Free Rebellion understands rioting and demonstrations, however, and is aware of the full price of allowing them to continue unchecked.

Free Rebellion would suggest a police operation in circumstances such as these, to at least quieten the protestors. Due to the anarchic nature of Free Rebellion, however, protests rarely last for more than a few days before the public discovers something else to occupy their attention. As such, the same policing in this nation may have to be altered to suit others.

Regardless, Free Rebellion cannot describe the shock it experiences at the brutal way the protest was dealt with. Despite this, Free Rebellion stresses that this is merely political opinion, and advice, and it will take no part in this war.
