At the time eriopia had been flooded with political turmoil and rebel conflicts this ensued the public to suddenly revolt against goverment units and police forces.Half of Eriopia suddenly in a "Bliztkrieg" like assault just occured killing dozens of people.In fact our top soldier Mgr. Archie gates is in critical condition due to a ambush by rebel forces doing a small ambush on Eriopian goverment forces in a supply convoy.This has occured a large majority of the civil populace to revolt.The capital is okay and we need assistance so that they cannot ever enter the capital.Due to the defences they cannot enter but they have not touched the borders we will not allow nations to assist in taking over the goverment any hostile aircraft will be shot down without asking questions.But we need help they have killed over 345 police and goverment units we need help.But we want non-lethal assistance but areas that are not urban is where actuall conflict is occuring we asking assistance.

Rebeland (having recently secured a new regime) would love to help. We will send 15 MiG-31's to bomb enemy bivouacs, and perhaps 20,000 ROTN troops would suffice?

Muktar will be launching helicopter transports loaded with paratroopers to aid the Eriopian government against the rebel uprising. Supply airdrops will also be made to positions under fire by rebel forces.

We can send in a police response team if you wish. They will be heavily armed, and will only fire if fired upon. We can have then out to your nation within the NS month. (2 RL hours)

The Freethinker nation has decided to support Eriopian government, and have despatched the frigate Ardent to Eriopian waters to provide communication support and off-shore firepower.

We have begun the assault on the enemy rebels, they have huge amounts of troops this is the second time we encountered them.They have stolen XM777 howitzers and have begun pounding civil areas.We're sending in squadron of A-10s to drop a small payload.

USN Navy(USNN) aircraft establish air dominance over the AO. Marines land on the beaches and set up C2(command and contol)and FACs move inland to laze targets for USNN and USNAF aircraft.

USNAF B-52s begin arclight bombing missions aganst rebel postions

The Ardent moves closer to the shore, and starts bombarding enemy positions with her 5" main gun and Scimitar cruise missiles.

Shore based artillery returns fire, but the inaccurate shots just send up a lot of spray off the Ardent's bow. The 5" is turned upon these defences, and pretty soon the rebel guns are silenced

The rebels aim the howitzers toward the beaches and begin firing on allied troops.They see a huge explosion on the beach as metal from the artillery gun explode falling everywhere.

"FIRE!!! FIRE!!! COME ON MEN FIR----" the soldier was killed by a rebel.The eriopian tanks fired at the rebels then eriopian bombers decided attacking rebel airfields but instead of destroying them they dropped troops to capture them.

The Capt. of the zulu force team contacted all the allied forces."Attn. all allied forces this is a eriopian team we need fire support we are pinned down we need to capture the airfield so we can establish more aerial positions". he said on the radio."PLEASE SOMEONE SEND BACKUP NOW!!" he yelled desperately for anyone to help.

Are you crazy the rebels will shoot the chopper down!" yelled the presidents aid. "Not if we get help" the general areplied."Alright...contact a base from rebeland." the president said.

We have sent a single CVN-77 Nimitz carrier to the region, flanked by two destroyers, one NSSN, and one cruiser (supplied by one of the few remaining Sacramento-class supply ships in the navy). This is one of the least-combat-exposed units in the navy, which is why we are deploying them.

We ask for an air force base in well fortified Eriopia positions, so that we can send in an air force to blow the enemy to smithereens.

Ah well. May as well pretend I've entered your country with an air base...and some ground forces...if I haven't been allowed access...this never happened.

Ten stealth attack aircraft - Kazakhstanian-built A-15s - roamed the skies from 60,000-feet, swooping down at pre-determined targets provided by the J-Star unit, escorted by a troupe of four MiG-29Ms. The E-3 Sentry is also being escorted by four MiG-29Ms, while ten stealth ZF-27 air superiority fighters are performing BARCAP throughout the area - ensuring that if the rebels actually stole an aircraft, that it will be easily destroyed.

Two flights of carrier-launched F/A-18E/F Hornets have closed in on the airbase in question, and began launching strikes on isolated SAM sites and armoured vehicles...none were lost; the inexperience of the rebels with true military equipment didn't help them in the slightest....

Meanwhile, two groups of three Mi-24 Hind-F's closed in on the air base...supporting an armoured column comprising of six M-12 IFV's carrying some thirty armed soldiers, and sixteen M1A2 Main Battle Tanks, and two Paladin self-propelled howitzer units complemented them.

The six Mi-24's carry eight soldiers each, for forty-eight more armoued soldiers with state of the art FIST technology. The heavily armoured gunships deploy the soldiers to the area, where many armoured vehicles of the rebels had been just previously smashed (seven or eight high-priority rebel targets...plus SAM defenses that would be MAJOR obstacles to capturing the area)...the tanks pound the enemy forces, and the Zoogie forces begin a firefight with the rebels...although well armed, there's really no rebel, no matter how fanatic, with TANK/military equipment training save for automatic rifles and such...we expect a heavy edge in experience and in technology.

The soldiers also take up fortified positions beside IFV's/Tanks and howitzers, hiding behind hangars and other materials in the air base, in order to fire on the rebel resistance.

The Eriopian forces pinned down can expect more than sufficient aid - the rebel's armoured vehicles seen as greatest threats have been eliminated, as well as major SAM/AAA sites, so more troops can be dropped to the air base with less risk....in addition, 24 armoured vehicles of ours are converging on the base, smashing through the rest of defenses, covered with more precision by six of the most renowned gunships in the world...along with ground troops. We hope to relieve your tight position.

Howizter shells splash down around the Ardent, bringing in a new wave of strikes against the warship. Shells rain down closer, and the rebels have had sufficent time to prepare more concealed bunkers.

One such shell peetrates the screen of CIWSs, plunging deep into the superstructure. The Ardent groans, and a small fire breaks out. The captasin decides to retire his ship, having already caused considerable amounts of damage.

The ship leaves Eriopian waters, taking with it all Freethinker military involvement.

The rebels, now without any serious means of heavy resistance (i.e, tanks/apcs), were still not giving up. Rebels began setting up heavy machine guns and firing back. However, machine gun fire does not simply take out tanks. Nor do they even take down Mi-24's, built to withstand heavy flak.

The machine guns of the M-12 IFV"s returned fire as quickly as possible, as the six Mi-24s began to lower their soldiers. Taking cover behind the hangars and storage bunkers, the marines returned sporadic fire as well. The rebel resistance was scattered, and there were many areas where firepower was needed.

The Mi-24s were most effective at taking out the heavy machine guns. With their 30-mm guns, and aerial versatility, they were able to relatively quickly maneuver towards the heaviest of gunfire resistance and rain down bullets and rockets on them.

Several APCs sustained damage when grenades were launched at them, and one tank was immobilized when several grenades destroyed its traction.

As for casualties, out of forty-eight marines landed, nine were wounded, three severely. There are no reports of actual casualties yet.
