Greetings, esteemed representatives of the many diverse nations. The People's Republic of Happy Bubble Land, observing the fact that many of the flags of our planet are copies of each other, would like to offer the services of our many fine artists for making as many unique national flags as possible. A nation's flag should be a powerful symbol of what it stands for, and copying others' flags can make the country seem stale and uninteresting, no matter how far from the case this may be. We do, of course, ask for reimbursements, but we are accepting such a wide range of payments that we think even the poorest of nations will be able to afford a new, snazzy flag. Some of the things we are looking for in exchange for services are:

5,000 munees, or an equal amount in any other currency, per flag.
or
50 buses suitable for city transportation per flag, as Happy Bubble Land's public transportation is undergoing a major overhaul.
or
At least 10 dogs, 10 cats, and/or 10 horses, per flag. Due to a perhaps overzealous spaying and neutering campaign, it would seem all the pets and work animals in Happy Bubble Land have been rendered unable to reproduce – or, at least, all the males and most of the females. We will accept any unwanted beast, neutered or not, into our fair country, but it would be desirable to have breeding animals so that we may, what else, create breeds unique to Happy Bubble Land. You are assured that your animals will receive proper care and attention – if by unfortunate circumstances they do not, know that the laws of Happy Bubble Land are quite harsh those cruel to animals.
or
1,000 doses of polio, mumps, and/or fish-head vaccine per flag. We seem to be on the edge of a shortage from a recently-instated compulsory vaccination program.

Other deals are negotiable, of course. There are a few regulations and conditions that nations wanting our services should be aware of.

1. We will only make flags that conform to the international size and material standards.
(That is, the site rules regarding custom flags. To reiterate, here they are: "The image must be in JPEG (.jpg) format, 107x71 pixels in size, and no larger than 6KB. Images that don't conform will either not display properly or cause an error when you try to upload them.
Non-flag-like or inappropriate images are not permitted. Please don't post them.")

2. Please be specific when requesting a flag design. Our artists are very creative, but they do need something to work from.

3. On the other hand, please don't expect anything too complex. The flags are small and the materials are rather difficult to work with, after all.

4. Please keep in mind that the artists cannot work 24/7 – they have lives outside of their work.

5. We will serve all kinds of governments, even if we think your country is the very epitome of evil. Even evil people need snazzy flags, after all.
If you think your country could do with Happy Bubble Land's artists improving your flag, please send over a telegram. Your flag shall be completed and sent over electronically. (I have no idea if there's any other way besides e-mail attachments to send picture files on this site. OOC: I do have a question about flag making and hope you could be of some assistance. When creating an image and using the color red, how do you keep the rich color? When I lower the kb, I alway's seem to loose the quality of the red and don't know why. Your tip's would be greatly appreciated.

This may be a bit difficult as we have a shortage of artists who are willing to do human subjects, but we will see what we can do if indeed a doctor is what you want. Now, would you like the background to be black and red, or perhaps have the doctor in red and have the background be black, or vice versa?

The Atheists Reality: Our artists specialise in dragons of all types - Asian dragons are no exception. Name your price, we'll take it. Also, what color would you like the dragon to be?

Austar Union: I think we can do that. How about a gryphon, the beast that is a union between the majestic eagle and the mighty lion? Also, do you have any specific colors in mind?

His Majesty King Alaric of Xeraph: We have completed two different flag designs, one with a border and one without, as we weren't entirely sure what you meant by a border at first. Please telegram us with your electronic mail, and we'll send them on over for you to choose from. We will send over one of our larger ambassadors to pick up the animals - he's a large yellow dragon with purple stripes on his legs by the name of Arkonpeur, and we assure you he is perfectly harmless - he seems to have a calming affect on most animals, so he will be able to transport them quite easily. Staff and security will not be neccisary.

Kwaswhakistan2: No, we do not want pigeons that are to be used as weapons, unless you can also give us charts on how to remove the explosives. However, since you have not asked for a new flag, we shall assume the pigeons will be a charitable donation unless you state otherwise.

Happy Bubble Land, while liking the lovely flags posted, respectfully requests that only those who wish to buy a new flag post on this bulliten board. Unless, of course, you're leaving your flags to be used as templates or something.

There is nothing wrong with jpegs, you just need to find a good program that can convert bmps to jpegs correctly (i.e. one that is well written). I have never had such a problem, but maybe that is just me.

Aust: We have narrowed the possible flags down to three possible candidates - all of them look the same but for the writing style at the bottom of the flag. Our artists were unsure what sort of print you wanted, so we're going to send over one with cursive, one with stylized print, and one with no writing in case you would like to do it yourself. We ask, however, that you please post a price or trade item -- the artists suggest about two hundred gallons of golden ink up for the many different renditions of "Aust" in curving lines scribbled down in the pre-flag stages. We ask that you telegram us with your electronic mail.

Dracun imperium: We are unaware of how long a telegram typically takes to wire to someone. However, yours has not gotten to us yet. If it typically takes longer, forgive us - we only recently installed massive lines of telegram poles and are still trying to figure out the quirks of the system.

easy green: We regret to inform you that your request is far too vague to work off of. Your nations' flag should be its utmost symbol. Perhaps a picture that is an important symbol, such as the dragon on Happy Bubble Land's banner? Or maybe just colors, as represented most well on the bands of color on The Middle Road's flag? The Middle Road, one of our first customers, believes in following the central path on all issues -- the black at the extremes represents evil, the colors progressively getting more positive as they converge in the green 'middle road.' Please think hard about a picture or banner that would represent your fair nation, and get back to us with your idea and price.

If we have forgotten anyone, blame our poor filing systems -- we doubt we'll ever get the dratted things up to date. We've been trying for years. (OOC: Read - I have a really bad memory at times. ^^')

Also, since someone sent me wither a telegram or e-mail asking about the technical aspects of flag-loading... here they are.

First, you have to get the flag into your computer. What you do is right-click on the picture and select "Save Picture As" on the menu. If you've got your e-mail settings to not see piccies in messages, temporarily turn them on, or perhaps click the link it gives you to the pic there.

Once it's into your comp, log in to NationStates and go to your settings. Scroll down to your current flag and click the "create your own flag" link. My flags already conform to standard as far as I know, so there shouldn't be any problems there. Click the "browse" button, find the flag wherever you saved it, click on the filename/thumbnail, then click the "Upload!" button. And there you go, you've got your very own custom flag courtousy of Sparky the Seventh Chaos! ^_^

OOC: Enh, third post in a row's gonna make me look desperate. Oh well. At least I'm not bumbing the thing every hour on the hour, eh?

OOC: Finally! And, you guys don't have to worry about bumping - I check this topic somewhat obsessively, and try to bump it once every one or two days at 3:30ish Pacific Time. I really do like making flags that much. I am an artiste! ...unless that was just your comps glitching out, of course. Anyhow --

Friends O & I: We can most definitely do a phoenix for your ally. Orange on yellow should be quite striking, or perhaps orange on yellow/red stripes radiating from the center. We can do several designs and let your ally pick whichever they like the best with no trouble at all. Ninety-nine Dalmatian puppies should cover the order quite nicely. If it would not be objectionable, we would like the name of your ally - we like to drop by countries now and then that use our flags now and then to admire own handiwork as well as see the local sights. AfrikaZkorps: Your order looks to be a bit challenging, but rest assured that we can get the job done. The artists request a little confirmation - the Scythe and Hammer you refer to is the well-known symbol of communism, is it not?
We would like 1,000-5000 doses of the fish-head vaccine. We are unaware of how widespread this disease is outside our own country, or if indeed it simply goes by other names. The fish-head bacterium is found in undercooked Blippin Catfish, and it slowly transforms the infected human's head into one resembling that of the Catfish. This means that they get chronic hiccups and are generally regarded as repulsive among their own species. The humans of Happy Bubble Land are really a minority, but we care for all our people and need this vaccine pretty badly, if you've got it -- While it can be treated by antibiotics to a point, the bacterium is swiftly developing resistance, and a simple vaccine is the a whole lot cheaper than plastic surgery. If the vaccine is unavailable in your fine nation, the equivalent of 10,000 munees would also suffice.

It should be divided into four squares, the squares divided by a black cross. The top left and bottom right square would be white, the top right and bottom left squares would be red.

*The red dragoness rigs up a strange, complicated-looking device that has a sign up front that says "Bump Machine." The dragoness pokes a button, and a stream of water falls on a modified hamster wheel, currently unoccupied, that looks like a water wheel. The wheel turns a series of cogs, slowly pulling a wedge out from underneath an axe. The axe eventually slams down onto the rope holding the catapult that Sparky placed the flag-making topic on, and it rockets to the front of the line. Sparky flashes a fangy grin at everyone and gives a thumbs up, spreading her wings and flying after her topic. She calls as she soars off:*
