High-Subsonic Cargo Programme

The Zoogie People

OOC: We are not looking for funders, nor joint-development...any ideas are of course welcome, but do not think that the corrupt corporate situation of our nation now, in the process of changing(argh, stupid issue, arrive!) , will feel any need to reward based on idea input.

IC:
Medium Sized High Subsonic Cargo

The HSC project has officially been launched by The Zoogie People, with sufficient funding and interest by Penguisiana to deliver free production rights. Limited technical assistance has also been offered by Penguisiana and this has been accepted. The project will now proceed full steam ahead.

The goal? To develop a medium-size (preferably in the 120 feet long range) to eventually supplant C-130s as light, efficient transports to the front lines. Going for STOL technology, reduced RCS, and Mach 0.8+ speeds with economical cruising speeds at Mach 0.68 or so.

Wide fuselage, for greater carrying capacity. Also platform for air-launched cruise missiles and tanker.

Ampar Corp has been recognized as the sole developer of this cargo, and at this point has a very good idea about how it will be constructed.

Currently it is working on improving the hydraulics design and is undergoing engine testing, while another team within Ampar Corp is designing a rough-field capability landing gear suit.

Ampar Corp projects that within a year it will have been able to produce a viable prototype...

In other news, there is speculation that design evaluation has led to higher than expected engine power...

Ampar Corp is also producing a medium-sized airliner, of which some technologies may be used in connection with this project - the airliner may also be developed further for a cargo-only frontline airlift by Zoogie Aerospace, which has been collaborating with Ampar on reduced sonic boom technology. An AWACs is not out of the question.
