Oh, and some explaination on some things below... Mekanta has a 35 "hour" clock, divided into 35 Rotations, 100 Cycles per Rotation, and 50 Pulses per Cycle.

"Ladies and gentlemen of Mekanta, and of the entire world, good evening. I am Thara of Steel.

A large humanoid AI turns around, nodding. "And I am AX-1337. Today marks the beginning of a new age for both the Mekantan Empire, and our close ally of Central Facehuggeria. This evening, at roughly 26:15:20 Mekantan Standard Time, it was announced that the Phalanx orbital weapons platform has been reconstructed."

"Construction apparently began just after the end of the war, and has been classified until now. The Megaguns are now under firm allied control. Today marks a new era for Mekanta, and Central Facehuggeria. This concludes our authorized communication. Good night."

---NOTES
The number of orbital bombardment railguns was increased from previous estimates. Civillian population reduced. Artificial gravity systems were damaged beyond repair. An alternative was worked out for the Human Habitation sectors of the fortress. Many new systems were created from original designs. Final cost of the facility is estimated at 3.7 trillion dollars.

---MEGAGUNS
The destructive capacity of the Megaguns is equal to most nuclear weapons today, capable of destroying a major city with a single strike. Unlike many nukes, there is no known defence against the Megaguns. We have calculated the new force and size of the shells to be the equivalent of an asteroid impact.

Each Megagun has enough room for 15 shells ready to fire. There is a one minute loading time in between firing. It takes two and a half to five minutes to replace a fired shell. By these numbers, it is possible to devestate a nation before the nation under attack has time to respond.

OOC: It is essientially for protection against any large, space nation that gets the idea to glass us without even trying to do a good RP.
It will have the same use as modern tech nuclear weapons (only as a very last resort.)
