With the recent expansion of several other nations into Pacific waters, and the constantly shifting tendancies of this world, it has become advisable to expand our boundaries. We cannot allow other nations to establish island chains leading into our nation, and we must proactively claim these islands. The list of advisable options is attatched. The local populations, when they exist, are small and primitive, and easily brought about to our needs. We must begin to seize outwards, before others can reach inwards...

Garvin lowered his papers, facing Chancellor Fenris. "Sir, you've seen this report. This needs to be done, sir. We need to establish a buffer zone around our nation."

Fenris nodded to the SecState. "Very well, John. Although, I think this should be a Directorate wide effort."

"Sir, are you sure?"

"Of course, John. We claim them for the region, and look less agressive."

"Thank you, sir."

Garvin left the room, and on the paper, several island names were visible....

The ports readied. A fleet would be dispatched soon, a flotilla of tankers and cargo vessels to match the military escorts.

umm... im gonna mention this, but i dont know.... the kuril islands are mine... they aren't really "pacific" islands, but they are on the pacific ocean and they are islands. if you dont know of them then it is obviously no problem.

But, yeah. If you have ANY RL territory, keep it constantly claimed, or else it will be claimed about 98725492 times. Guam and Marshal Islands are removed from list.

OOC: My original nation died cause I wasn't able to log in awhile. The original was created in January but since I didn't know how to get it ressurrected at the time, I created another one with the same name.
Everyone's operated under the assumption that the old and new nations were the same ones. Though, if I had the original, the pop would be bigger and it would be as powerful as whittier.

The Austar Union government shows its concern as we own a small island chain protectorate, the Fleetwood Islands.

It is located somewhere near the Solomon Islands.

OOC: This thread sat for two days, with no objections. As of now, the list is fixed. The Land Grab Begins...

IC: Wake Island was first....

The dawn light cut razors on the ocean surface, glistening right up to the steel hulls of the Fleet. The Dominator floated there, her great guns trained on no ship or surface target. Behind her, the armada was arrayed, vast lines of convoy vessels and tankers, all ready to construct the bases and markets on these thus far uncivilized islands. On the bridge, Cmdr. Johan spoke to Admiral Drasick. "Sir, we can't pull the tankers into the coves, becuase of the reef."

"Really?" Drasick asked.

Between on the island and the flotilla, the exotic coral reef glistened. It formed a natural barier against any large ships moving into the harbor, and contained many exotic species of aquatic life. Unfortunately, this momument of natural beauty stood in the path of Kaukolastani achievement. Johan spoke, "This reef is the home of many exotic lifeforms, including some exlcusive to this reef. Many marine biologists would give an arm and leg to get here." The officer pulled at his collar a little as the pleasant breeze swept past them, making the palms bob.

Drasick nodded. "That's too bad. Remove it."

"Aye, sir." Johan spun. "Fire!"

The guns roared, and the dreadnought rocked, the tens of thousands of pounds of explosive slamming into the reef. The water fountained out, glistening in the air. Chunks of burning reef and fish hurtled out, raining down amid the new canal. Drasick turned back coolly to the Captain of the vessel. "Move in, Captain. Inform the fleet to follow. We just built a road." The tankers filed through the path the Dominator had created. Seven species of life died in that barrage, but no one would ever know. The water was already calming...

Thoughout the Pacific, more scenes played out. By noon, the islands were secure, and construction began.

The 4th fleet was underway, 42 ships strong, escorting hundreds of construction ships, their destination was Wake Island.

“Okay fleet, task force one, set sail for Peale Island, land your group of ships and get underway set up, task force two, set sail for Wilkes Island, same orders, Task force 3, head right into Wake Island, and begin construction of the military base. Alert the Kaukolastan force we’re inbound”

Wake Island

The major construction is now complete, a full functional shipyard is now in place, and we are currently moving in troops and people to staff it, This base is also used by Nailiak, and a combine fleet of ships from both countries are on station, as well as Air Wings and Infintry/armored divisions

Peale Island

The major construction is also finished here. The port is now open to deep water vessels, and Transnapastain extends trading opurtuntiies to other pacific nations, to increase commerce.

Wiilkes Island

The resort is now open and ready for bussness!
