OOC: This is a serious wargame. Also, I am aware that nations claim Taiwan, but any claims in this thread will be ignored since this is only a war game.

Rules for the game
1. All nations must be older than 2 months
2. All nations must have been in at least one modern tech war RP
3. This is strictly modern tech. No pre or post modern tech forces are allowed
4. ICBM's and nuclear weapons are not allowed. Use of these weapons could result in your expulsion from the game
5. Combat must stay within the area around and in Taiwan (land and water)
6. Deploying excessive amounts of invading forces on the first offensive is prohibited. All forces should be deployed in waves (as in real life)
7. N00bish behavior or posts will not be tolerated
8. Keep all OOC comments in this thread to a minimum. Post them all in the OOC thread made especially for this wargame.

Scenario
Rebel forces in Taiwan threaten the government. Biological and chemical weapons have fallen into the hands of these forces backed by Credonia. Weeks of talks with these factions have led to nowhere and now action must be taken.

Objectives
Bring an end to the siege. Capture or kill rebels, stop the Credonian military forces stationed in Taiwan (we are assisting them but wont send in our forces until after the game begins). For now we need someone to RP as the Taiwaneese rebels.

I will RP as the rebels,i just need to know how many there are (roughly) and what theyre equiped with (probably AK-47's and RPG's,but better to ask) as soon as i know i will RP as them,or rp wtih someone as them if theyre are alot of them.

ooc: I'll rp as an independent if that’s ok krulltor is a very secretive nation and always has ulterior motives and goals that are not always as they seem

But as the beginning of this struggle unfolds I will support the local gov't


IC: The commanders post at central intel's mid-day shift is usually a quite time, data is being reviewed from morning ops some 20,000 cryptologist fill the west wing of commander Wesley’s dept. The 0337 designated rarely coveted corner office is where he sits. All class yellow 3 and 4 classified info eventually makes it across this mans oak inlay carbon fiber desk. His office is a model of efficiency from the pristine weapons wall with its eclectic collection of combat aperati to the data vault lining its counter part.
A glowing red light appears on the screen imbedded in the desk's surface.

Now the trade consortium has confirmed news that Taiwan is experiencing an uprising and are unable to contain said coup. I want a float of surveillance, special ops and aasw subs, here is a list of subs within range with missions that can be modified prepare the captains and make sure the crews get danger pay starting now. Also I want you to prepare this list of boats as strike team alpha and gamma should we require them."

"These are all subs .....sir..are you sure that’s wise?"

"Yes this requires surgical precision not brute force. We don't need to level that island only to quell an uprising. In any case, you will have access to com sat 083 and 136 that have been placed in geo sync over Taiwan. We will also have a network of some 2000 operatives through out the island. We may not take this land but we'll have a strong voice in who does and what better ally.."

"Aye sir"

Credonia, I suggest you choose a different island, there are many claims to Taiwan and your "wargames" there might provoke something.

like i said in the first post, i dont care, all claims will be ignored. This is only a war game and if they cant deal with it, thats too bad. Too many nations claim Taiwan, so if they want it, they can start stuff amongst themselves.

The ROCA has set aside a massive portion of the island for war game purposes....

Rebels under the command of "Red Team", led by ROCA Major General Zhang Fu Guo have staged an popular army rebellion against the rule of President Chen Shui Bian.

Major General Zhang has experience in two Taiwan strait crisises and participated in wargames overseas and domestically.

The Credonian Eempire is supplying your rebel forces with M16's, grenates, heat seaking missile's launchers (stingers, etc), light anti aircraft artillery, and have provided some training to them (you pick the type of artillery and level of training you recieved)

With a large minority of the rebels having military experience and a capable guerilla warfare leader, the Rebels have established strongholds in the relatively hilly and rural East Taiwan. (OOC: Last post tonight)

OOC: still looking for a couple more nations to join, then we'll start

Come on people, join if you think your good enough ;-) (might give you a chance to kick Credonia's ass even if the losses arent real - you'll still have bragging rights)

Bedou will commit its R.R.A.W. units to the 'conflict'.
These comprise 22 special 'Seglawi' carriers, two attack/delivery subs, 1 transport, a few naval support vessels. 132 combat aircraft and fair array of arty and AA.With a few hundred Marines.
