This is the core of what will be our army in the future we hope with help that we could expand upon this to protect ourselves from threats domestic and abroad but due to recent territorial disputes namely with the mounting diplomatic deteriotion with the island state of Southmead we have needed to bulid a huge military presense

With a population that size, you could have an army of over a million.

Savaliana,

a regiment is usually 650 soldiers, sometimes five companies of 100 troops and one HQ company with associated support staff.

That can also be a single Battalion of a larger regiment, which can contain any number of Battalions you wish.

A Division is normally made up of several Brigades (each brigade being 3 Battalions) each one devoted to a specialty - like Armor, Infantry, Artillery.

A smaller force, like the one you describe, can still be very effective depending on what they are trained for. As an example, 300 Green Berets, Navy SEALS or British SAS would pose a serious threat to a much larger force and normally operate in groups of 12 or less. It all depends on how you want to build your army!
