Gregloristan is interested in expanding on its recently discovered uranium deposits. We are currently clear-cutting a rainforest to get at these beautiful deposits left to us by God. Please help us develop a nukular technology of our own for domestic military- I mean civilian - use.

We are willing to discuss minning rights and processed ore rights to nations willing to provide us with the technology to produce our own nukular bombs - I mean reactors.

ASonic has the technology you need. We will help you develop it under the following conditions:

1) The technology you develop will not be used until your nation is 1 month old

2) It will not be used against ASonic or its allies

3) ASonic will have 25% mining rights in Gregloristan for the next 10 years

We counter-offer that you may have 35% mining rights for 1 year. In addition, you will agree to the following conditions: your miners will keep their own communities in the vicinity of the mine, they will leave them directly by airlift, and will not enter our sacred communities unless they want to follow our strict religious rules (i.e. men will not allow their faces to be seen, 14 year olds are subject to the draft, women must stop to pray on the hour, etc). Think oil camps in Saudi Arabia.

I have the technology that you need, If you accept, I propose a technological alliance between us. Also you would be considered an ally of my region.

Since we have no need for your mines anyway (our nation has enough uranium to produce a huge volume of weapons every month, month after month) your terms are accepted. Our mining equipment is being shipped as we speak. The personnel problems you forsee will not in fact happen - our equipment requires no men to run it (we have a very large robotics sector) and requires maintenence only once every year. Since it will only be with you for a year, this is not a problem.

Can I also suggest you move to a more...prosperous region. ASonic is currently in Asia.
