Breaking news has just come in that the Pope is in actual fact real. This grainy footage was shot by a member of the Shildonian Pope Spotting Agency who was holidaying in Rome.
<insert grainy footage of what may or may not be a white clad figure in a golf buggy>
Experts are stunned by this new footage, which may once and for all settle the age old debate as to whether the several hundred year old being known as "Pope" is real. The SPSA agent who made the film, Mr John Parmer said, "I was on holiday in Rome, and while buying a pizza was told a tale by the owner of the shop. He told me that every week, the Pope travels through the streets of Rome offering blessings to passersby. Now even though I was on holiday, this was not the kind of oportunity to pass up. So I travelled to the location specified and was able to capture this footage."
However not everyone is convinced, eminent biologist Dr Nathan Baxtor from the university of Evad said, "If this "Pope" actually exists, then it would have been proven long ago. After all, it is almost invariably spotted in built up urban areas."
Dr Baxtor's colleague Professor Carol Church, professor of Mythology at the Evad university agreed, saying "The Pope is little more than a modern day continuation of the Elf, or the Pixie. It is merely a boogie man, invented by parents to scare their children into behaving."
Despite these reservations, the SPSA is currently attempting to raise the funds to send a full expedition to Rome in an attempt to further study this elusive being, and if possible capture a living specimen to study in controlled conditions.

[Disclaimer: this is not meant to ridicule anyones religion, either ICly or OOCly, so please don't send a fundamentalist hit squad after me. It also isn't meant to ridicule that guy who accidently said his nation didn't believe in the Pope, although that did give me the idea to do this.
No offence intended to any Elves, Pixies, or Boogie Men who may be reading this]
