[Dateline] Port Imperial, Roycelandian East Africa
Elation in Academic and Historic circles today after an Imperial Archaeological Expediton working in the Sudan province of Roycelandian East Africa uncovered the long-lost Tomb of the great Egyptian Pharaoh Ramset IV, thought for centuries to be either wholy or partly mythical.
"There's no doubt about it, this really is the Tomb of Ramset IV. The Heiroglyphics confirm it, along with the complete Book of The Dead enscribed in Roman Marble laid next to the Golden Sarcophogus." Expedition Leader Scott Chalmers said to an excited Press Conference via Satellite just minutes ago.
"I would like to take this oppurtunity to thank the Imperial Government and the University of Port Royal for their invaluable assistance on this expedition, and we look forward to studying the treasures of the Tomb at length once we can get them back to Port Royal for further appraisal and research."
When asked what his first impressions of the Tomb were, Chalmers said "Shiny... The whole thing seemed to be made of Gold. Quite how Tomb Raiders missed this is a mystery that requires further investigation, but we're all glad that the tomb has survived all these millenia, without being looted by anyone before we got here."
Ramset IV was famous for being both unfeasibly wealthy, Imperialistic, and a military genius. It is hoped that the study of his Tomb will shed some light on the little known Obscure Kingdom period of Egyptian History.
A small, peaceful demonstration of Sudanese Arabs protesting the "desecration" of their cultural heritage was left unmolested by Colonial Security Forces, although one protestor was formally cautioned for reckless use of an airhorn in a public place.
