Now it have been ten years since the last election, so the USSU have decided to go to the voting booths once again to elect the Public Ambassador of Umojan. The biggest news of this election is that our sitting Public Ambassador; Marshal Recanter Agones, have decided to not try for a second run as he think that he should only continue with his military career instead, being the Marshal and leader of Umojan's Protectorate Marines that he is.
But, suprisingly enough, his little brother, Archduke Ceron Agones, have decided to go into elections in his place, with the promises to uphold the socialist laws and ideals that this nation rely's on.
So, the election consists primaly of the two parties, the Socialist Party, led by Ceron Agones, and the Peaceful Centrist Party led by Joe-Joe Jobaleneus, promising to withdraw their troops back from the outpost and only have 100.000 troop volunteers ready at all times instead of the 4.880.000 that it is now.
The last time the elections were held, back in 1994, Marshal Agones won a devostating victory, 75% vs. 24%. The last percent were non-voters.
