Early this morning, "Pope" Alexander I, declared independence for all followers of Christianity. He stated:
"No longer can God's followers be forced to live under the rule of this so called "Grand Council". They have no real authority, only dosth our Lord in Heaven. God has invested true power, in me, to take control of Tameriel, and strike down the Council from their former glory!"
Here is a statement made by the spokesperson of the Council:
"The Council does not recognize these peoples as a formal seperation from the Tamerielic government. They are viewed as an "unruley" Rebellion, led by some over zelous Catholic Zealot.
The Council has no further words except, that that the so called "Pope", and his followers, shall be shown no mercy from the Council, and shall be slaughtered on site."
Many in Tameriel are concerned of this Holy Rebellion, many see that it will only lead to blood shed, as Teddy Worth, a Tamerielic Banker states:
"Well, this is going to end up being a bloody war, over 50% of Tameriels population is Cristian. I myself am a Protestant, but I don't support these rebels, they will most likely fail."
Tameriel has mobolized its armies, and has set off to meet these papal dogs at their Capital of "Rome".
