In his first Press Conference since taking up position as President, Benicius III has announced an ambitious Maritime expansion plan to secure Benician trade and future endeavours across the globe.

The plan involves the creation of a new Blue Water Naval Base on the small island of Sahil in international waters some 400 miles from the Antarctic wilderness. While the island was claimed some 20 years ago under the Dictatorship of Benicius I, Sahil will prove "instrumental in facilitating Benicius's maritime expansion in these troubled times" according to President Benicius III.

The base is set to be operational for 3 new CVBG's to be commissioned in the next month. Work on what was a secret facility until today is nearing completition and will boast a concentrated version of Benicius' Missile Defence.

Due to recent threats made against the region West Pacific, it has been decided by the new Benician administration to hasten the establishment of the new Sahil Island Naval Base.

Within the next two weeks, President Benicius III will visit naval personel on the base for its ceremonial opening of operations.
