Aaronisia launches assault against Garronia

The Aaronisian fleet was huge, comprising entire carrier groups as mere escorts for the millions of tons of shipping crossing the oceon towards the coast of their target, The Republic of Garronia.
The Aaronisian government, spurred on by a national outcry for conquest and its economy requiring new raw materials to fuel the very war machine that was the backbone of the entire state, had decided the time had come to begin the assault. The Republic of Garronia had been chosen as the first strike target as it was the head of the UVA region and military commanders, realising they must strike quickly and knock out the superior UVA region before they could muster a decent defence, decided it would be best to launch their campaign from there.

The assault force had been noticed by many nations on its journey as the sheer size-comprising 70% of all Aaronisian shipping and carrying a total of 4 million troops for the initial assault gave it away fairly easially. However they had kept on a neutral course for the journey and hoped to achieve a degree of surprise with their current manouvers. Part of the fleet, comprising the 1st assault group had broken off from the main bulk and was now making a fast run at the coast. The assault group comprised of the elements required for the initial beach-head landings, with carriers for air support, troop and landing vessels and close support destroyers to provide close artillery support. It had 250,000 troops.

Meanwhile the main force with the rest of the troops would make a slower turn 12 hours later with the aim of landing the main bulk of troops after the beach-head had been secured. This group comprised of not only large amounts of troops but also of their initial supply requirements and support elements such as the general staff of the Aaronisian Expeditionary Force.

The plan for the initial assault was simple as it was deadly. The carrier based aircraft would launch their strikes as soon as they came into effective range, suppressing as much of the Garronian air force and heavier defencive positions as they could on the ground. Then the landing craft and mini-carriers containing close support vehicles such as attack helicopters would move up and hit the beach under a rain of protective fire from destroyers off-shore.
Once the beaches were secured armoured forces would begin to land alongside the infantry and expand the beach-head and artillery units would also land and set up on-shore.
Then the main force would land, a full scale breakout would ensue and also airfields and suchlike would be set up...but that was days if not weeks away.

OOC: This is a war I presume your UVA friends will want to get involved in so give em a call. Lets keep it clean, minus the god-moding and suchlike-sorry about having to send a giant fleet along but unless we have land borders or are a hop across the channel and someone forgot to tell me its just about the only way of doing it without some mad brained star wars landing...
The Aaronisian army operates on a modern tech basis and when fighting RP wars we always follow procedure. Things like extending or dragging out time scales should be allowed for-IE if someones army broke out, the other lads was in full retreat instead of sitting back for 3 weeks saying "ladida" we'd just say 3 weeks later, and when stating time state RT-Real time or GT-game time in your time estimates.
The reason I haven't tried "landing" yet is to get you in on the game and while I'd expect to see some sort of readyness when the Aaronisian fleet comes a hurling unless you're a mega recluse nation and spend all your money on maintaining full mobalisation can we presume that the waters arn't going to be so mined you could walk to shore without getting your feet wet only to meet every citizen suddenly with military training an an M16?
Erm, anyways, awaiting your responce with your early warnings and all that...
