Description
The Hussar is designed to be a C-130 deployable and extremely mobile vehicle while retaining high survivability and lethality. The Hussar is a wheeled vehicle available in 6x6 and 8x8 combination. The Hussar family is armored by an extremely lightweight composite that provides protection from 30mm slugs over the frontal arc and 14.5mm slugs on the flanks. Between two layers of hard composite is a mesh of superfluous material that breaks up HEAT jets, protecting from RPG hits. At this protection level the vehicle weighs 15 tons, additional armor plating can be added with ease. Also, a layer of slat armor protects the vehicle further from RPG rounds. The vehicle has radar and thermal surpression plus flare and smoke dispensers installed. The vehicle is airtight with overpressure system to protect against NBC. The vehicle is armed with a 25mm grenade launcher that throws programmable HE grenades out to 2.5km and a 7.62mm machine gun on a remotely controlled turret. The turret has a x15 zoom and a thermal sight. There is a top hatch for the cargo and a hatch for the crew of 2, a driver and vehicle commander. The following modules are interchangable and allow an extreme ease of logistics. The Hussar's are powered by a 1200 horsepower hydrogen turbine engine with a maximum speed of 80 mph. The vehicles can also swim with a speed of 10mph.
Vehicles within the Hussar family
Armored Personal Carrier: The Hussar APC is designed to carry 9 infantry soldiers to the battlefield and support them there.
Cost: 1.5 million USD
Mobile Gun System: The Hussar Mobile Gun System has a remotely controlled 120mm recoilless rifle that can fire AP, HESH, and HE out to 2,500m with pinpoint accuracy using an advanced fire control system. The gun is fed by an auto-loader that holds 22 rounds and can hold another 20 rounds in storage. There is an unfoldable conveyer belt in the rear for loading ammo into the vehicle.
Cost: 2 million USD
Mortar Carrier: The Hussar Mortar Carrier holds a 120mm mortar in the rear compartment that can fire HE, illumination, and special guided rounds out to 10km. The mortar is fully electronically operated and based on a swivel plate. The mortar is loaded by a crew of 2 and aimed by the gunner in the front. 55 rounds of 120mm are stored in armored boxes. There is a unfoldable conveyer belt in the rear if the vehicle for loading ammo into the vehicle.
1.5 million USD
Box Rockets: The Box Rockets Hussar vehicle fires 24 vertically launched Common Modular rockets with a range max range of 40km. The rockets can be laser guided, thermal guided, radar guided, and visually guided. The standard anti-tank warhead is a triple HEAT warhead, there is also a scatter beehive explosive round for soft targets. A special booster engine can also be added to give the vehicle AA punch, this combined with the FRAG warhead can take down any aircraft for 40km. This vehicle has a crew of 3.
Cost: 3 million USD
Recon Vehicle: The Hussar Recon Vehicle has a mast mount of 6 meters that has a x50 zoom and a thermal sight. A single recon vehicle can also vertically launch up to 3 UAVs with a range of 15km and flight life of an hour. The UAVs has a thermal sight and laser rangefinder. The UAVs can land back on the vehicle if the vehicle is stationary. This vehicle has a crew of 4.
2.5 million USD
Anti-Tank Vehicle: The Hussar anti-tank vehicle holds 8 Kinetic Energy Missiles in two racks. The Kinetic Energy Missile has no explosive change, instead it relies of it's super dense DU tip and velocity of 7000m/s to defeat targets. The KEM can defeat all known armor at range of 8km. There are four extra missiles stored and can be reloaded by the crew in less then 30 minutes. There is a unfoldable conveyer belt in the rear for loading ammo.
2 million USD
Anti-Aircraft Vehicle: The Hussar anti-aircraft vehicle has a quad mini-gun 30mm cannons mounted on a electronically remotely operated turret. These rounds travel in excess of 1500m/s and have a ROF of 4000rpm. Also are two box launchers of Anti-Air Common Missiles, for a total of 8 missiles.
The last three Hussar Vehicles are an NBC recon vehicle that contains labs and clean-up equipment for NBC threats. A engineers's vehicle with a mine plow, and bridge layer. Plus, a medical evacuation vehicle with room for five stretcher casualties and medical facilites. These come at a cost of 1.5 million each.
The vehicles are linked across the AKIS (Ass Kicking Information System). This system shows every unit using it on a GPS map and allows instant voice and text communication while automatically sharing location and target data. The AKIS system is small enough to be used to individual infantry soldiers, weighing 10 pounds and being small as a laptop.
