EDIT: The riot has ended. Thanks to all the nations who helped out. Now we need medical attention and help clearing debris. Thanks again.
~Breaking News~
In light of the mounting deficit by the military, groups believe the very foundation of our nation has come under fire. Protest Leader, Sarah Kisel made this statement, "Our government says they stand for peace, yet we get ourselves involved in many conflicts, we just want the full aspect!"
The government and the president have both made no comments on the situation, but it may be necessary to keep conditions from escalating. The groups are working on a merger and march into the capitol in order to be fully heard. This march may contain as many as 5 million people.
The groups have stated that they hope the government comes to its senses and explains why our military is being sent overseas, or atleast comfort them in the reasons for building defense. JNN will keep you posted as more information comes from this protest, we hope it will not escalate further, thank you, I am Howard Watts
Jarridia,
If you need help in controlling your protesters, please let me know. We have several SWAT/Containment Squads that are trained specifically in crowd control and anti-terror tactics.

Thank you Xeraph, the groups are expected to begin making their move into the capital this RL afternoon. Your forces would provide us with much support in trying to keep the peace.
*News*
As protestors ready for their journey into our capital, the president has made a speech stating the demobilization of our troops. Unfortunately, this had little or no affect on the massing people on the limits of the city. Forces, along with Police Riot teams are taking place in order to keep the populous safe from a possible riot. Senator Watts had this to say, "The people have every right to speak out on something they believe in, but we must look out for the others as well. We do not want to see this escalate into something more than it should be."
After this, an enraged protestor stated, "They think we're just going to give in to the force build-up and go home, well they're wrong! If worst comes to worst, city streets will burn!"
It is not yet clear what the most probable outcome may be, but this city is bracing for what may be a rough night.

At 2:30 (NS time) the march began. As it started its way down the broad central avenue, the sky was clear and the air was warm. In order to keep the peace, Police and the Military were equiped with riot gear and placed in key areas in case it got out of hand. The destination for the march was at the steps of the capitol building, where the leaders would rally in hopes of gaining attention.
*News*
"Hello, I'm Jeremy Caldwell," the man said, "behind me is a group of protestors, who are against Jarridia's invovlement in foreign affairs. They say that our motto 'Peace and prosperity for all' is no longer valid. Everyone hopes that this will be a peaceful and enjoyable day, and the Jarridian goverment has taken steps to ensure this. Now back to the news room"
"Thank you Jeremy, indeed we hope it will stay peaceful, but that is all for now. Thanks for viewing, and good bye" smiled Keithan Weaver."
At approximately 3:00 p.m. as the march turned the corner and turned up the street, a sudden shot was fired. The crowd went wild, an already disgruntled mass turned violent in that instance. Defenses were quickly overrun and the mob began lighting fires. A full riot had began in the cities center, as the people believed the president had ordered an attack on them. More of the police rushed over to try and stop the sudden break out, but in no way were a match for the millions of people.
*Breaking News*
"Hello, this is Cynthia Termon," *behind the woman you could see fires and smoke looming and the sound of breaking class and screams* "we are here infront of the palace, and a crisis has occured in the city's center. A relatively peaceful protest has turned into a riot, the riot patrol has been unable to stop the sudden violence, and buildings are burning. Witnesses say that a gunshot was heard before the riot began, but no one is sure where it came from."
*In the Palace*
An assistant runs in to the president sitting in his office.
"Sir, a riot has begun from the protests. The police have been unable to stop it"
"What!?!!?" said the president in a suddenly alarmed yet subtle voice.
"We aren't sure what happened, but fires are burning and the mob seems to be conintuing their path to the capitol district. We need your orders"
The president stood up and slammed his fist on the desk
"This must be stopped! Send the national guard in to do crowd control, do not kill them, just fight them back"
"Yes sir!"
The assistant leaves and the president turns to the window and opens the curtain. He can see the mob in the distance while the streets are engulfed with flames behind them. His mouth drops, he stands there in awe, sighing suddenly and saying under his breath, "my god, what has happened to these people"

*suddenly a massive explosion takes place, shaking the camera. Chunks of debris is sent into the air, and smoke fills the air*
".......Oh my god! The east wing of the palace has just exploded! It looks as if it has been fully demolished. National Guard seems to be frantically heading into the area. Due to the suddeness we have no word on whether the president was there or not. This was obviously not a......."
*before the reporter can say another word another explosion rips apart the capitol building. The center dome and west wing collapse and the east wing is heavily damaged*
the reporter screams, and quickly tries to control herself *sobbing* ".....the capitol building is in ruins! This is....i mean.....erm...i can't even think of words to explain what is happening! The rioters are cheering and continuing to march on, but the national guard seems to have taken many of them......the sky is full of smoke and dust.......all around me is fire......ooo the humanity!"
*Palace, moments before blast*
President was still staring out the window, and then had just turned around as someone enters his office, one of his aides.
"Mr. President, the National Guard says that they are making peaceful progress in slowing the progress of the mob, do you have any further instructions?"
"That is good news, I am glad to see that perhaps this can be resol......."
The explosions tears through the building, the president and his aides and other personnel are left in the rubble.

Thank you! We have sent a group to meet you and brief you fully on the situation.
*Breaking News* The Search!
"The riot continues to burn down portions of the city, the national guard has been unable to control this massive uprising. The search is on to find people with in the rubble of the Capitol and Palace. No word yet on the conditions of any of our political leaders. Unfortunately it seems that our government may have taken a painful blow due to timing."
*In the rubble of the east wing of the palace*
By now it is night and the stars and moon are above, but can't be seen due to dust.
President Branam groans and slowly pushes one arm up through the dust and bricks, he begins climbing out, wincing in pain, his leg seemingly broken. A nearby officer sees and hears this and grabs several of the close by Guard members and runs over.
"Who is that? Can you speak and give us your name?"
"Yes! I am the President"
"Mr. President! Thank god you're alright, let us get you out"
"Be careful, I believe my leg is broken"
"Yes sir!"
They slowly pull the gagging man up, and begin quickly carrying him to the nearby medical tent. They immediately begin bandaging his cuts, which he has many of, and then resets his leg.
"Thank you. Can some one please tell me what is going on"
"Yes sir. Several of the rioters made attacks on the government, they blew up the east wing of the Palace, and pretty much the whole capitol building."
"Have we heard casualties?"
"We haven't begun to even start digging, the riot is still out of control, but nations are offering their help to stop damage and help us repair."
"This is terrible, this is indeed our nations darkest hour. We must rescue as many as possible, we can't work without Congress."
"We are trying all we can, but....."
"NO BUTS! It is necessary to save not only officials, but as many civilians"
"Yes sir! I shall spread the word."
The president remains on the table blood coming down is face and arms, the doctors do what they can to stop the bleeding.
The 1st Peacekeeping Core has begun to arrive. They are securing the Palace. Helicopters and planes are flying over the capital making gun runs.
Xeraph/ARM has deployed 2500 SpecOP Troopers from the Red Legions and 2500 MP's and anti-terror Teams into the capitol of Jarridia. Looters will be shot on sight. Any citizen wishing protection will be ushered to a safety zone guarded by Black Legion Troopers and medical attention provided by MASH units from the Empire of the Healers.
All ARM allies are urged to converge on strategic areas of Jarridia: communications centers, manufacturing and R/D centers, and medical/governmental facilities.
Jarridia, if you need other aid in quelling this situation, please TG Xeraph.

*News*
"With an influx in the amount of special forces sent in by key allies of Jarridia, the riot has begun to break up. Hundreds of thousands have been jailed indefinitely. So far, the death-toll is expected to be around 50 - 100 thousand. We have recieved word that the president was rescued from the palace rubble and is stabilizing. As for members of congress, nothing can be said, but with the end to the riot, the focus will be on rescue efforts. The guard and allies are expected to continue through the night, and as soon as things a re a bit calmer debris will be removed. Much of the city is still burning tonight, and fire crews are not sure when the flames will be put out. Countless are left homeless and jobless. We will keep you posted though the night."
Many rioters have been hauled off to detainment camps outside the city for investigation. Crews work frantically to rescue people from the rubble and end the last areas of resistance. Firemen rush to put out blazes that are ravaging this once beautiful city. The sun is beginning to peek over the horizon, showing the colors of dawn, but are blocked out by the continuing smoke and dust.

Repost
IC:
(basic gist)
We are sending 5 B-2 bombers 1st wave equiped with flash bang style cluster bombs to break up riots
2nd wave 2 B-2 bombers equiped with 'screamer' style missles.
We then warned millatary personell to be equipped with light filters
We will send 2 very large aircraft containing 6 fire engines, an assortment of humvees and 200 men (each, bought from another nation talk to them about physics). Some trained firemen and some peace keepers. The peace keepers are there to protect the firemen. If you could clear the closest air strip and highway we can get right into the disaster area.

I am going to aid you by sending in 10 Search and Rescue squads to help find the ones who made it.
We are also sending a helicopter of technicians and commandos to secure the pumping station (water). We feel that your water supply may be at risk and with so many fire trucks and other rescue efforts in dire need of it (water) we cannot allow it to become unavailable. We will begin rationing if needed to allow rescue efforts to procced unheeded.
Overall ETAs.
3 B-2 7 RL mins.
2 B-2 shortly after
2 KN-12's (cargo planes) arriving at airport when simeltanous with above

Military Information:
We are pleased to report that the riot has ended and all hostilities have ended. We are still battling the fires and hope to have them out by this (NS) afternoon. We need support in clean-up and rebuilding. Thank you!
There have been an estimated 123,000 deaths (mostly government, some civilian) 30 (100) Senators and 25(120) Representatives inside the capitol building at the time of the blast have survived. The president is up but on cruches, he is expected to make a speech to the people and military and allies soon.
:Converation on unencrypted radio (it's not a war why would we right?):
"This is Bouncer one to Bouncer wing I'm ejected another tank, That brings me to just enough feul to limp home."
"Settle down John we'll have enough to make it back we were just in a hurry to get here."
"Ya think? Jeez I don't even have a stealth profile my manifolds are so hot from the afterburners."
"This is Bouncer three to Bouncer wing, guys keep it on the up and up we probably got alot of Jarridian mil com listening in we aren't queit up here"
"Roger."
"Copy that"
"Bouncer one to Bouncer wing I have the target are in sight its a mess down there."
"Well drop the party favors and turn around we don't have time to do anything more than shoot from the hip fuel is an issue as it is we have to glide 8 km to make it back."
"Well sending co ordinates to the place with th most rioters."
With that the bomb bay doors opened and countless cluster bombs fell toward the teeming masses. At 500 ft they split into a dazzeling splash of white lights and stars. Those who looked up were knocked on their asses clutching at their temporarily blind eyes. Others suffering from extreme vertigo began to vomit wretching on the cracked pavement and across the dead bodies of those who dropped in the clashes with riot police. The 'bangs bounced off the street still siziling and blinding many more who where unaware of the 3 black siloheutes 30 000 ft up.
"This is bouncer wing to any ground forces in ear shot you have a blind mob down there if you have any plans of arrests now's the time. Squad's heading home we don't got the fuel to stick around. Good luck."
damn slow servers. Would you mind pretending my post came in before that message?
The KN-12's came down in the airport with no troubles and the fire trucks where sent immediatly to problem areas. The fires of the now ceased riot still needed to be doused and the fire fighter's definatly needed the milatary escort, not because of lingering resentment but because they needed the hands to treat wounded.

The copper approaches the city still on course to the waterworks, is this acceptable do you need more resourceses allocated? What is the current situation.
btw: I have the 2 remaining B-2's circling over the city co ordinating relief efforts as they seem unnecassary as crowd control

At this time, we have extreme fire problems. Much of the downtown, and capitol districts are still covered in fires. Our fire forces have put out the residential fires, otherwise any water you can douse on these hot spots would help. We are moving in to try and control the fires in the capitol district as we speak.
"Well we finally got this blaze out." The burly smudge covered man reported to the Jarridian fire marshall that was assigned to them for correspondence. It was a long battle of several hours to save this block. The fires lept from building to building because of the dense nature of the downtown area, the men were exhausted yet proud.
"Excellent" came the reply "Now do that a few hundred more times and we are set."
This is recommended as a last resort only but the 2 B-2 bombers I still have circling are equiped with some actual warheads and we can, with executive authorization from both parties use them to create some dead zones (areas of no fuel) to prevent the fire from spreading. This would however mean writing off a few blocks.

The fires raging on what was left of the capitol building and palace have been contained. Other fires in the capitol district are out or contained. We will be sending residual reinforcements to the commercial district to help. We will focus to save as much as we can. As to the warheads. We wish not to destroy more, but if worse comes to worst, then we will agree to a tactical attack.
The Chinook landed in the abandoned street in front of the water control centre. The commandos stormed the building commando style expecting resistance only to find Jarridian technicians rd at work. After a tense couple of seconds the CEP techs filed out the ranks of the missing Jarridian techs and the commandos took gaurd outside of the building, feeling uneeded and sheepish.

ooc: Lol.....things can tend to go by fast.
Fires continue to remain a problem in downtown. The president who set up office in a tent in the palace lawn has called today a national disaster day, no one shall leave their house unless completely necessary. The smoke is still billowing in downtown, but is slowly clearing elsewhere.
Several more members of congress have been uncovered and rushed to the nearest hospital, and many bodies have been found in both the palace and the capitol.
