Today President Richard Evan signed the Gay Marriage Act into law, making homosexual marriages legal throughout the nation.

"Every citizen of this nation is equal, if you're missing a chunk of your brain, you will be treated like every other resident, and the Gay Marriage Act serves as a reminder of true freedom," said the President today shortly after signing the GMA.

The Equal to God's Wish Association is planning to file a lawsuit to repeal the law, "This is absolutely absurd for our President to do, he has defied everything that is religion, and he will be stopped," exclaimed Joshua Fresetta, head of the EGWA.

Meanwhile, city squares and wedding chapels are forming lines around the block as gay citizens finally get their chance to be wed. One woman shed a tear as she prepared to say her vows to her companion, "We've fought for years to be like everybody else, and finally we are. We cannot thank the President enough for what he was done for us, he is truely the Big Longian hero, even if this law is repealed, he will be remembered as the man who defied these homophobic quacks."

Gay Marriage is not outlawed inThe Empire of Afrika Z Korps, yet anyways we are having a vote right now its 98 to 94 for outlawing Gay marriage 8 more votes until the law is in effect...

Since we, Pythonists, consider ourselves a civilized society, we allow people to do what they will with their bodies. In this sense, Gay Marraige is legalized and fully recognized as such by the population of Pythonists.

We congratulate the nation of Big Long Now on their advancement of human rights within their nation.

Blargistania recognizes the right of gays/lesbians to marry. All people are entitled to equal rights, marraige being one of them. We do not consider marraige to be a religious institution, and therefore, religious groups have no bearing within these laws. With the removal of these obsticles, gay marraige was legalized early in the conception of Blargistania. We would like to congratulate BLN on their furtherment of human rights in recognizing gay marraige. We would also like to urge the BLN courts to throw out the appeal of the EGWA in the name of human and civil rights.

Today after hearing the EGWA's reasons to repeal the Gay Marriage Act, Judge Gary Schnider threw out their case, quoting the constitution he said, "I have decided not to accept your appeal, because in the Big Long Now it says 'All children, women and men are equal in this nation', it may have taken us 150 years to recognize gays as equals, but this is a gigantic step only the President could retract."

EGWA's attorneys have pledged that this is not the end of their battle, although they would not reveal any details upon what their next actions could be.

Today the military released a statement to the nation of Simpsons Springfield, it goes as follows:

"Any executions of our citizens on your behalf will not be tolerated by the United Faction of Big Long Now. We will not stand by and watch our residents fall victim to your arrogance. Any citizen that dies under your authority will be grounds for going to war against your nation, and we hope that it will not come to this, but we have warned you. One death is a tragedy, and so is a million."

The Region of Hippolandia officially outlaws man-to-man marriages, for ethical purposes. Still, woman to woman marriages are still not only lawful, but even encouraged. :o And so are marriages hippo-to-hippo!

In Zambay, we outlaw man to man marriages. It just isnt right. If any gays are found inZambay, they are immediatly sent to the "ARENA". Besides, God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. :wink: :D

Next time, you should do better research on your financiers. We have the technology from you anyway, so we'd not need any future relationships.

We have granted lobbying and protesting groups to visit Big Long Now. The lobbyists request a meeting with the President to discuss the possibly revocation of this law.

The protesters are under strict guidelines to peacefully demonstrate against gay marriages. If they are an inconvenience or break any of your laws, they will be dealt with harshly upon their return.

The Senate is watching this matter closely.

I am against the marriage.
But if citizens of my country want to marry, they are allowed to, since they are free people. Every country which forbids these human rights shall be isolated from the UN.
