On February 19th at 0734 hours, Russian Federation BMPs, LCACs, Zodiaks and other forces landed on the west end of Nogova and quickly took control of the defenseless airport there. Su-27s, A-10s, F-16s, MiG-29s, F14s, AH-1 Supercobras and Hind 17s and 24s quickly transferred from a carrier to the airport. Shilkas and mobile SAMs are stationed around the area controlled by the Russian Federation for defense against air attack and Black Bear tanks patrol the perimeter.

Current forces on Nogova:

475 RuFedEG Special Forces
30 Black Bear MB Tanks

More forces are within 30 minutes of the airport in ace reinforcements are needed.

The Russian Federation plans on taking the rest of the island shortly. The Russian Federation has blockaded the ports and has complete air superiority on the ocean surrounding the island. The Nogovan military was caught off guard and many soldiers were captured.

Another small civilian airstrip is located at the far north on a smaller island, no military aircraft are stationed there at this time.

The USIH deplores this blatent act of Imperialism. Forces on the USIH controlled Island of Malden have been put onto high alert and limited reinforcements have been deployed to the area. They are expected to arrive via aircraft and link up with pre-positioned equipment.

The Kingdom of Hakuvia has decided to intervene in this war on behalf of the U.N. Although we have no true military power, we DO have orbital weapons platforms armed with EMP capabilites in the atmosphere of the Earth. We also have a few submarines stationed barely thirty-two miles, and they have anti-aircraft capabilites.

However, seeing as I am an advocate for Peace, I will not attack before negotiating. Hakuvia will give one fifth of it's yearly GNP (per capita) to the Russian Federation should it abandon the isle of Nogova, and also protect it from military attack. We are a large nation, and can afford to waste money seeing as I we are mainly a Communist State, and we have almost grown past the usage of money.

Despite it's own Socialist nature, the Russian Federation could probably find our funding helpful. However, these Negotiations must NOT be revealed to the U.N. Also, any haggling over the price, and we WILL fire our EMP's, disabling ALL electrical-based weapons on Nogova. Without electricity, the Federation's weapons will be most useless.

The Republic of Ozymandias IV officially condemns the RussianFederation invasion of Nogova.

We are willing to send an expeditionary force to assist the Nogovan people in repelling this illegal invasion of their soverign territory. Our military is going on high alert status and reserves are being called to assist the people of Nogova.

Meanwhile, at Fort Piccola, home of the 98th Airborne Division of the Grand Army of the Republic, troops were running everywhere finding their gear. The Post Exchange store quickly sold out of handheld GPS units (which the Army had yet to provide these type of units to individual foot soldiers) as did many of the outdoor supply stores near the base.

Activity at the firing range was no less intense and platoons quickly rotated through to re-sight their weapons for the upcoming mobilization.

"Sarge, is this for real?" one trooper asked with more excitement than fear in his voice.

A 2.5 ton truck rumbled past their squad as they were waiting at the range.

"That was a load of body bags private," Sgt. Werda V said with a jerk of this thumb. "Does that answer your question... Alright men, we're next on the line. Don't forget to breath and squeeze. I want to see nice tight groupings!"

It is rather hilly but their are a lot of roads that cu through the hilly areas(Stratigic maybe?)

On Malden, Colonel Jenkins was looking over his maps. He could see that there would be no way to hold the South of the Island from an invasion with his current troops. The best thing to do was pull most of his forces back to the North with their already prepared positions around the only Airfield and the major town on the Island.
Two hours earlier he had ordered that all Civilians in the Southern town of **** (finding name on OPF inna mo) were to evacuate and head North into the main town.

Colonel Jenkins was in charge of the 2nd Regiment of the 9th Infantry Division. There was equipment here for another Regiment and they were flying as soon as possible. The first C-5 was an estimated 5 hours out.

The Colonel currently had 3 Battalions of Infantry, 1 Company of M1A2 Tanks (about 42) a reinforced Artillery Battery (5 MLRS and 12 105mm Howitzers) and a Comabt Engineer Company.

The Airforce had 8 Blackhawks, 12 Super Cobras, 8 AH-64D Longbow Apaches and 6 F-15E Strike Eagles.A carrier was on route but would not arrive for another day. Meanwhile some A-10s and F-16s were being flown in from neighbouring bases along with some UH-1 Gunships.

OOC: Be whoever you want. Keep in mind that at the moment I control the skies and seas around the island. Stealth infiltration is possible, but stealth doesn't mean thousands of soldiers. If you've played OFP Resistance, you should have a good idea of what to do....

IC: The Russian Federation officialy releases this statement:

At about 11 o' clock last night we sent 2 Recon Planes to do a recon sweep of the enemy positions, we managed to establish two things from the sweep, one, that they have pushed their forces further inland and two, that air superority is most definatley theirs, Our Recon Planes were Fired upon without Warning and were Forced to abort the mission. we won't be trying that kind of thing again any time soon." the General waited for his leaders Reply.
"What about a Naval Assult?" Questioned Evil Twin
"No way Sir, INTEL is pretty sure that we won't be getting through that way, unless you want a full scale Naval Battle."
"So whats our next move General?" Evil Twin asked sternley.
"We will have to insert a small Team of Eve Shock Troopers(Commandos) and try to make them establish a small field base, from their we have two options, 1, Insite a Resistance/Gorilla Movement or two,Continue to Insert Troops at a small number at a time and try to take the enemy forces on." The General put down his dossier"It's your call Sir."
"Alright General Zane Do what you have to do, but i want you to Contact Malden, supply them with whatever they need and deploy a bulk force in Malden but we need their permission"

With no resistance other than small, unarmed groups of protestors, the Russian Federation is quickly taking control of the island and is close to capturing the capitol. The only thing slowing Russian Federation forces down is the lack of forces to hold land. More soldiers and vehicles are being transported via LCACs and C5 Galaxys. By the time the capitol is taken, there are to be 12,750 infantry, 450 BMPs, 1,000 RuFedEG Elite, 140 Black Bear Tanks, 14 Su-27s, 12 A-10s, 12 F-16s, 10 MiG-29s, 15 F-14s, 30 Subercobras, 12 Hind-17s, 20 Hind-24s, 10 KA-52s, 35 Shilkas, and 30 mobile SAM sites, all fully crewed.

The Russian Federation informs the people of Nogova that violent resistance will be met with military action against all involved.

There was no-one around to hear the slight hum of the Eve Landing Boat's Engine as the Ships pulled up to the shore, 50 men started to disembark and straight away were moving, no-one spoke, they all knew their orders, they were to set up a base camp in the woods in around central Nogova and were to make it ready for the 62 men who were yet to arrive.

Two Hours Later---------------------------------------------------------

Everything was set and the base was stocked and ready. The 112 Evopian Shock Troopers had been in these types of conflicts before and all had an idea of what they were facing. Their next set of orders arrived quickly and instructed that a number of Troopers were to reclaim the town of ******(Could you tell me one) they would hold this town until they are to be relieved at dawn with a small Armour Division, at least that was the plan.

OOC: I forgot all the names of the towns except Dolina, which is rather strategic If I Recall Correctly, but IIRC that's in my territory right now. You could defend the capitol, which is at the southeast end of the island where the square formed by the roads is. I'll be assaulting that soon, unaware of your soldiers if you choose to put them there. If you want, I'll circle the capitol on the map to show you.

Most of the real towns are already in my territory, those that aren't are insignificant because they're in the far north east where I don't need to go, and where an attack against me would be difficult to pull off. You could set up ambushes at strategic places like the fork at the road coming off the bridge eastbound, though once you revealed your position there wouldn't be too many places to hide. Nogova is a rural island with lots of small mountains and few major cities. That makes it difficult to pull off a conventional attack/counter-attack, and also difficult to determine where strategic locations are. You could try taking the bridge, as that is quite imprtant to me taking the capitol, but with 112 your hold won't last long. There's an alternative to capturing the bridge though....

EDIT: Dolina isn't "uberly" defended because at the moment my forces are scattered thin. A straight out attack wouldn't last long, though. Think outside the box, and watch out for my pesky heli's.

More Specific EDIT: I'd say around 250-400 relatively unprepared soldiers, a couple BMPs and possibly a Black Bear. There would be a few entrenched PKMs and such.

Nogova isn't real, it's from the videogame Operation Flashpoint, more specifically the addon Resistance found in the GOTY version. I think that the Russians wanted it in OFP simply because it was close to Kolgujev, a Russian island, and an attack on Malden and Everon, American held islands, could be launched from Nogova. If you want to hear the storyline, I'll tell you about it.

The men were in minuetes of leaving for the City of Dolina when the Message came through the Radio, Operation Thunder Sword(Taking Dolin) was to be aborted, insted the 112 strong squad were to head toward the Main Bridge of Nogova and Were to Destroy it, this would effectively Cripple the Russian Advanvance towards the Capitol, at least for a while.

Some time later---------------------------------------------------

Operation David and Goliath
A team of 16 had manged to steal a URAL Truck from the Village and had just arrived on the Eastern Side of the Bridge, the team had to hike the las 3 miles to the bridge as to not arouse suspition with the few Russian Sentry Guards Posted along the Bridge.
Two Snipers Positoned themselves on the banks off the eastern side of the bridge, while 6 men set up two Machine gun postions in a ditch off the side of the Eastern bridge road, these were to provide suppresion fire only if the covert appoach failed.
the Remaining 8 were taking cover and would fire the flash grenades, blinding the sentrys temperarily.

A bright light flashed across the nighsky as flash grenades were fired at the sentry positions on the bridge, while the guards were blinded the 2 snipers picked them off with no hassle.
the 8 soldiers who fired the flash grenades quickly ran onto the bridge as soon as it was clear, they had no time to waste the Russians might have seen the flashes, 4 went under the bridge and placed Plastic Explosives on the Supports while the other 4 set Explosives in the center of the bridge. the Explosives were rigged up to a timer and all the troops evacuated to the Ural.
Ten Minuetes later and the soldiers heard the roar as the explosives went off, but they were well away by now.

Hind 24s scrambled from the main airport but did not catch the ural in time. FLying over the bridge, they saw it was severly damaged and would take several weeks if not months to make operational. The plan to take the capital was delayed, but more forces had arrived, and Sky Crane helicopters were inbound....

It has always been the policy of the Free land of Abercraf to stand up against oppresion and injustice. The attack upon Nogova is an act we cannot stand by and watch, to do so would be blood on our hands.

At 3:00 am last night 6000 troops armed with a variety of weapons, some dating back to the 1960's, were dispatched from the Free land of Abercraf and landed upon the east coast of Nogova at 5am this morning. Deploying from outdated turtle beaching craft they formed 2 roughly equal sized forces either side of the capital.

With commands decision to not land their highly prized tanks until the capital is safe and the beaches secure and Abercraf's negilible air force to remain onboard the 2 aircraft carriers, The Hope and The Hood, it is imperitive that they seize the capital whether it is occupied or not. Abercraf calls upon any other countries willing to oppose this act of wanton aggresion to assist Abercraf in holding the west island and repelling the invaders.

Sadly a covet insertion of 20 special ops by parachute went wrong for reasons unkown and it is reported that they went down over the NW of the island but their location is unknown. As we have recieved no radio contact we don't know if any even survived but we maintain hope.

the shock troopers had succeseded and had brought the Evopian Liberation Movement more time, but the Shock Troopers although veterens in impossible situations, were starting to feel as though they were in over there heads; they were almost completaly cut off from Evopian Military Reinforcements, and were resorted to sneaking in small numbers of Miltia at a time.

The Armour Division had arrived, if you could call it a division, it consisted of 8 Evopan Heavy Tanks and 30 Regular Infantry.

The Liberation Movment now had three options to take now that they had taken out the bridge.
1) They Dig into the Capital and fortify there position.
2) They Defend the Crossroad area which provided the (now) only possible route to the Capital
3) They Could Take The offensive and start liberating cities and towns.

but all had options had there flaws
Option 1) It would be almost impossible to hold the Capital for a prolonged period of time with such a small number of Units.

Option 2) The Russians may decide to rebuild the bridge and not even take that route

Option 3) With Such a small Number of Troops this would be Decidely difficult

The Liberation Movement would just have to continue to receive their small number of reinforcements and wait for the russians to make the next move.

Like I said, I control the seas, so there's not any real chance of that happening without a naval battle first, but I'm bored so I'll allow it.

IC: Small details of RuFedEG had crossed the channel by zodiak to recon the Capital and aid in planning the attack, and were surprised to see enemy forces barricading it. They radioed back to the airport and KA-52s, Su-27s and F-14s were scrambled. A radio message is sent on all channels directed towards Abercraf:

Leave, now, or your soldiers and ships will be destroyed. We have captured your so called special forces and if you comply they will be returned unharmed.

(OOC) Sorry bout forgetting bout the navy but it's my first real go at this. Well i'll try to take more things into account from now on (and shamelessly try to cover my flawed first post :D)

The military command of Abercraf were extremely pleased to hear how succesfully the landing went. The decision to hold back the larger ships and send in the smallest vessels with lights off and engines on reduced power had allowed the large scale landing to be achived without detection. Now comes the worry that the troops will be without any armoured or air support until they manage to draw the enemy towards the capital and away from the approaching fleet.

"What's the situation Sergant Moore" Asked Master Sergant Steven Bailey.
"We have secured the city and set up barricades at the main points, we're trying to find a decent site for a temporary LZ for when the main fleet decides to send us some air support but there's we're surrounded by mountains and the nearest one is too far away for my liking we may have to build an outpost to house it."
"No you've heard what we have to do, we must give them hell trying to claim this area until the fleet arrives, if it arrives" said Bailey, he had already heard rumours that the Abercraf navy were outgunned and outnumbered. He was afraid but he'd be damned if he showed it.
"Get command on the line I want to know how long we're in on this alone.."

We have captured your so called special forces and if you comply they will be returned unharmed." chattered the radio, but no one was listening, orders flew around at lightening speed as reports came in of an air attack commencing along the front lines of the defences. On the USIH controlled Island of Malden the defences were being prepared to the south. Now that Colonel Jenkins had another Regiment on the Island he felt secure from an invasion. The 1st Regiment of the 9th Infantry was also on route but via 12 Large Roll-on/Roll-off cargo ships hastily assembled with the carrier USIHS Conquerer.

The Colonel had called for an airstrike to support the allied troops that had landed on the Island which was significantly slowing down any capability of invasion that the RF could have for Malden.

12 Miles away to the north of Malden, 5 B-6 Bombers streaked along at barely 300feet. These were the newest aircraft in the USIH air force, capable of speeds in excess of Mach-3 and utilising stealth material they would be barely visible on the most powerful radar if it was only a couple of miles away.

However they didnt need to be anywhere near as close as that for this mission. The 3 Harpoon Anti-Ship missiles hanging in each's bomb bays were already programmed with the co-ordinates of the RF fleet obtained via satillite recon.

As they skimmed over the dark waves to their launch point 152 miles from the RF fleet. When they were 155 miles out their bomb bays opened as one, and when they reached the launching point they climbed to 500feet and began deploying missiles. The pilots turned the planes as they came through the 140 miles out mark and immeadaitely hit their burners accelerating the planes to Mach 3.1 and launching them to the East from where they had come.

OOC: I expect ur fleet has CIWS gattling cannons so you should be able to shoot the majority of the missiles down, although some should hit. I didnt rp the planes staying around for long because unless you picked them up with an AWAC's plane you wouldnt have known they were there until they opened bomb bays. I think.

OOC: I'm ignoring his EMP weapons, partly because there's no such weapon within 10 years of operational development, and partly because countries without economies don't have space programs.

IC: The F14s attacked strategic emplacements and such with laser guided weapons while the Su-27s dropped mass amounts of ordinance on any clustered enemies, while the KA-52s launched volleys of HE rockets.

Another radio message is sent, directed to Abercraf:
If you do not cease all hostilities, your special forces will be executed, displayed, and thrown in a ditch.

It is decided that the bridge will not be rebuilt at this time, instead men are transported across the channel by BMP and a small bridge capable of taking a single Black Bear at a time is being built close to the destroyed bridge. Until that is completed, vehicles are moved across the channel by a CH-53 (I think it's CH-53....) Sky Crane. Hind 24s constantly fly over the island searching for any sign of enemy movements, whether it be Evopian soldiers or a resistance group.

The PHALANX's of the attacked ships worked well but there were too many missiles, 11 of them were destroyed but the R.F.S. Cepacol (battleship) was hit and two of its 9 16 inch guns were severly damaged, the R.F.S. Gibson (Aegis cruiser) was immobilized and the R.F.S. Painesdale (Destroyer) had to be abandoned. Because of the attack, AWACs now fly 24/7 from each of the 2 aircraft carriers, the RFS Toblerone and the RFS Dilbert, stationed around Nogova.

OOC: The city I called Dolina is actually Petrovice, IIRC the capital is Lupitol or something similar, Dolina is a little north of the west end of the now destroyed bridge.

IC: A small bridge capable of carrying a black bear tank has been constructed, and is very heavily guarded as it is the quickest route from the current RF base to the capital. 12 BB tanks have made it to the other side, as have 30 BMPS, 4 Mobile SAMs, and 2,500 soldiers, complete with AA and AT infantry. With the enemy forces in the capital under heavy fire from the helicopters and close support aircraft, the previously mentioned forces move towards the capital.

M1A2's and M6 Bradeey Linebackers (A bradley but with TOW missiles as well!) were setting up back from the coast so that they could crush any enemy attempt at a beachhead.

Evopia Forces arrived as USIH Forces were preparing their forces, The troops set up forwards command center in the middle of **** City(The one your Fortifying) the Tank Battalion Had Set itself up in a Neaby Werehouse Estate, which was protected by 2 S.A.M's and a Regiment of Regular Infantry.

Meanwhile the Fighters had just been Cleared to land and were making their Decent to Malden.
The troops Knew something big was gonna happen soon, they could feel it in the air.

a fleet of small ships slowly drift towards the island, unwary of the islands armies as far as they can tell russian federation has already won the war. after they have moored and the ships forces are on land the men decide to start the celebrations early, they make alot of noise and, if that wasnt enough they then launched fireworks into the air.

The destuction of many of the ships on collision course with Abercraf's main fleet was a godsend. While many of Abercraf's ships were fitted with Pantsyr S1 missle defences proofing it from attack against air there was only 5 of the 15 ships equiped with cannons. This is due to an unwillingness of a powerful country near Abercraf to surrender it's naval advantage and thus put tight restrictions on defences allowed on ships against ships.

With clear run to the coast radio messages came into the fleet requesting urgent assistance as they were being barraged by aircraft and could not stop the relentless assault. Due to the lack of men the beaches were not made suitable for a tank landing and the 15 Ronald II air defense rocket trucks and 3 ZRK-SD Rombs were dropped off north of the main city along with 20 scorpion tanks, 15 M2 Bradely's and a variety of support vechicles. The softer elevation allowed them to make it to the road and they proceeded south hopeful that they would arrive before the East island was cut in two.

Meanwhile a small detachment of 20 of Abercraf's finest landed at the north of the island. Their task was to slip through enemy lines and find out where the special forces were being held. They were equipped with identical weapons and uniforms to the Russian Federation troops but only half spoke the language. As such they had been discouraged to encouter any opposition forces and to await extraction by air at a location to be announced when they are discovered or accomplish the mission.

"Uh kind of they will assist us if we lend them forces to meet a landing group or something, they didn't explain"

Near 500 men left with the Evopian troops mounted on Fuchs A4's. This was a large chunk of the battle ready force but Abercraf had realised that men wouldn't hold the capital, they needed the tanks and any other help they could get...

OOC: AGH WTF! I tried to post my capture of the capital but stupid NS servers weren't working. BTW, I don't have a map of Malden at this time.


IC: The Hinds searching for the Evopian soldiers were surprised to see Russian Federation soldiers so far east and radioed back to base. With every soldier accounted for, 3 urals loaded with soldiers and with 2 BMP escorts are sent to the last location of the units in question.

Russian Federation forces were ready to take the capital. 1,250 infantry, 35 BMPs, 14 Black Bears, 3 Hind 24s and an undisclosed number of RuFedEG prepared for attack. All aircraft bombarding the Abercraf forces there were called back. RuFedEG snipers, armed with M40SD4s (RF's modified M40A3, with a longer/heavier barrel and big suppressor, fires .300 WinMag) and SVN-98s to disable defensive weapons and vehicles, took position north of the city. More RuFedEG steathily made their way from the beach south of the city, prepared to attack from the rear. The hinds were 30 seconds away as BMPs and infantry came over the hill west of the capital and fired on the city. Black Bear tanks came from around the hill and fired on fortified positions. Meanwhile, a large fleet of RF submarines with Aegis cruiser escorts made its way towards Nogova.....

EDIT: Evilvillage, assuming you survive Evopian's coming attack, if you ever do anything like that again I'll have my black bears run the rest of your forces over myself.

After two days of fast sailing, the 2nd MEF appears off the coast of Malden.

We are now 40 miles from the eastern coast of Nogova. 10 Rafale take off the HMS LaPoint and are moving torward the city Blata to give support to fleeing troops.

Meanwhile, in a little village on the NE end of the island...

The aircraft were within range of the city. They released cluster bombs, groups of airbursting 200lb bombs, and for point targets, 1000lb tank busting bombs, on military targets. When they ran out of bombs they strafed targets of oppurtunity and returned to their respective carriers, which were heading west. All ground forces were loading onto LCACs, BMPs with infantry were already leaving.

Known only to the top Russian Federation military high command, a ballistic missile submarine was preparing to launch....

The Russian Federation is ready to take the capital. 25 BB tanks have made it across the channel, along with 42 BMPs, 6 mobile SAMs and 3,250 infantry. 2 Hinds are on the way from the base to provide air support against entrenched positions and armor. The assault begins with BMPs and infantry...

The E-2C Hawkeyes were up and sending powerful radar emissions across the waves. So far they had detected no aircraft in the air apart from their own. There were however a number of SAM radars detected just over the horizon. This must show the location of the enemy fleet.

The Hornets were in close formation with F-14s above them. As they reached the launch mark they lit up their targetting radars, the enemy shoudlnt have been able to detect them until they lit up, and launched a volley of Harpoons at the targets that appeared.

Then as one they began turning back towards the carrier.

OOC: Oh sorry! I think 46, 23 planes with 2 each is about right.

IC: Threat detectors started bleaping on three of the Hornets. All of the pilots immeadiately activated their afterburners and powered away, however one Hornet was hit damaging it badly. It limped back towards the carrier as SAR helo's were scrambled.

When it was 4 miles away the pilot put the plane into a dive and ejected. There was no way it would land, the undercarriage had been shredded and he was leaking fuel from both tanks that had holes in them to big for the self-sealing material to work on. It was a miracle that the plane hadnt exploded.

As the pilot drifted down 2 SeaHawk helicopters hovered over head waiting to pick him up.

Because of the formation the ships were in, the PHALANX's of each were able to work cooporatively and downed 38 missiles. However, The RFS Cepacol, already damaged from a previous attack, lost two turrets of 16" guns, a couple hundred men and power to parts of the ship, the RFS Harman, a mine layer, was abondoned and the RFS Kardon, a destroyer, is temporarily immboilized.

Because of the attacks, special anti-air and missile ships are en route to Nogova, and carriers with F14s and EC2s patrolling 24/7 are placed on the outskirts of the island.

The second phase of the USIH forces plans to keep Russian Federation troops out of Malden has begun.

Below the waves 10 miles from the Russian ships, a Los Angeles Class688 submarine waited. The crew of the USIHS Poison were all experienced at submarine warfare from the USIH Navy Training centre, although none had experienced real combat.

In the CIC Captain Jenkins sat at his chair. His brother was in command of the Army troops on Malden and he knew that by helping here he would be helping his brother immensely.

The tele-printer in the comm room printed out an encoded message from Fleet HQ. In two minutes it was decoded and handed to the Captain.

The eighteen infiltrators looked worried. They had almost managed to pass the first checkpoint undetected but it seems someone had tipped off their approach, two men died in the ensuing gun fight but luckly the checkpoint was not in one of the more busier areas and was soon nuetralized.

Show me proof of both a stealth VTOL aircraft (stealth enough to get into a modern country without being detected-not F22 "stealth") and something like your missile ships within 10 years of developement and I'll respond to those attacks.

EDIT: Oh, and reach mach 2, since every aircraft I've heard of being designed goes no more than mach 1.8.

OOC,The aircraft aren't in your country yet there 100 miles off the coats or border. Also the aircraft aren't really modern there more little after modern tech, around year 2100-2180. So if that is to future tech for you it is fine by me but the missal boats are more modern.

evilville troops were sneaking through the trees, all they had to do was find arussian federation camp, any camp that was first seen. they are not very lightly armed as there mission is not to fight, just locate a camp so that they could go the next step on there plan.....

As for the missile ships, I know there are ships with missiles but I have never seen or heard of anything with that description. Modern tech is considered by me and many others to be anything up to date and within 10 years of manufacture. Show me a missile ship of your description within 10 years of manufacture.

I wasn't aware that tomahawks were regularly placed on aircraft. Even if they can be, I don't see the point.

Tomahawks can be air launched and these are for ground targetting as i have no ships close enough.

Keep in mind that if attacking Nogova, I do still have Hawkeyes and F14s, which will detect any planes or missiles with plenty of time to destroy them before reaching Nogova.

And also keep in mind that in order to get to significant cities such as Moscou in Russia, you'd have to get clearance to go through the airspace of several countries and we would probably know about it before it was even launched, and if you attacked the east we wouldnt really care unless you started invading :P

My forces have captured the entire island and 20 loaded BMPs are on their way to capture the northern civilian airstrip. Some LCACs are loading mobile SAMs to move them to the airfield.

Over 400 Miles away the B-6's are swooping in. This time they have some fighter cover from 8 F-22's launched from Malden.

As the B-6s reach there launch point the bomb bay doors open and launch 2 Tomahawks each.

Half of the Tomahawks carry clustermunitions whilst the others are high explosive warheads. Their target is the civilian airfield to prevent the Russians from using it.

AWACs picked up the missiles at over 350 miles away. 6 F14s were scrambled with 6 Pheonix missiles each. The missiles came into range while they were still 200 miles away and were destroyed by the F14s.

OOC: IRL they would have been destroyed very easily as they were in the RP. If you think it likely that more than 36 missiles would have been launched, say how many planes launched the missiles.

The Air Commander on Malden strode into Colonel Jenkins command tent.

"Sir, raid last night appears to have failed. Those F-14s we detected taking off appear to have engaged all of the Tomahawks with Phoenix's."

"Damn. So that airstrip is still useable."

"Fraid so Sir."

"Got anything else we can hit it with Major?"

"B-52's from Neito are going to support a B-6 and B-2 raid tomorrow night sir. We plan to launch tomahawks from the B-6's whilst the F-117s go in low and take out their AWAC's craft. Then we bring in the B-52s to hit the airfield supported by F-22s with ARMs (Anti Radar Missiles)"

"Ok keep me informed. I also need to discuss Air Support for the LCAC's we have coming in........"

The BMPs have reached the civilian airstrip and, with the soldiers transported in the BMPs, fortify the perimeter with protection against air temporarily provided by shoudler fired stingers.

ic: the men quikly but stealthily run to the coastline, avoiding any troops, the coast looks distant, but they should be able to make it.............

OOC: I'll do my best not to godmode but consider this; the F117 first of all is not well suited to aerial combat, and although considered stealth it is visible on radar, it just makes a very small signature. The F22 may be considered stealth also but again, only because it makes a smaller signature compared to other fighters. The F22's signature is, though relatively small, easy to pick up and interpret. With B52s and all manner of other large aircraft coming on, any trained AWAcs crew would start getting suspicious about all the other, smaller dots on the screen. Even if they did at first believe the F117s were seagulls or something, something would be sent to investigate if there was a a known attack coming. AWACs and even stand alone F14 radar can and will detect F22s long before they are in range to attack radar installation or the aircraft themselves, and with a little bit of luck a single pheonix can take down an F22 well before the F22 saw the F14 on radar.

So assuming all these aircraft, the B52s, B6s, F117s, F22s, etc. are to attack in the same night, your force would likely atleast fail to do any damage if not get completely wiped out. Use the stealth wisely.

Basically the F-117s come in very low they are virtually undetectable to AWACs that way. They then get below the AWACs and launch Sidewinders will going into a vertical climb. The fighters will then attempt to lock on missles and fail because the F-117 doesnt appear on there radars and heat seeking missiles would go after the burning wreck of an AWACs that was plummeting towards the ground/sea. I would do thisto all AWACS craft that had been detected.
Then without AWACs cover ground radars would have to come on to support them. The F-22s enagage the fighters guided by friendly AWAC's whilst the B-6s launch ARM missiles (Anti-Radiation Missiles) that lock onto the radars, they have a computer inside and therefore rememeber the location of radar sites even if they are turned off. The B-2s and B-52s then come in and lay waste to the airfield with cluster bombs and the like whilst the F-22s engage fighters with Pheonix and AAM-3 missiles guided by AWACs craft.

You can't tell me whether or not I can or can't lock on to something or whether or not my planes have been destroyed. If your other planes planned on attacking during the same night, which they have according to your post, then the AWACs would have detected the others enroute and F14s would be scrambled not only to attack the detected force but also MiGs would be scrambled to escort the AWACs. Let's say the others weren't detected; OK, your F-117s came in low and launched missiles basically straight up- Sidewinders, and basically all AA missiles have very low hit probability traveling straight up, not only that but the F117 would be detected the moment its bomb bay doors opened and the AWACs would have plenty of time to chaff and flare and take evasive action. You may have destroyed a couple but not all and your F117s would be destroyed.

Then without AWACs cover ground radars would have to come on to support them. The F-22s enagage the fighters guided by friendly AWAC's whilst the B-6s launch ARM missiles (Anti-Radiation Missiles) that lock onto the radars, they have a computer inside and therefore rememeber the location of radar sites even if they are turned off.

Ground radar would be on anyway. F14s can and will destroy F22s before the F22s know about it. Give me an approximate number of missiles so I don't godmode by saying PHALANX and/or F14s destroyed them all.

F22s don't carry Pheonix missiles, even if they did the F22 radar is not powerful enough to grasp the advantages of a pheonix. B52s would have been destroyed by F14s, MiGs, SAMs, or something. Only the B2 attack is close to valid, they have the most effective stealth but being used in conjunction with all these less than stealth aircraft it's likely they would have been detected either by the still surviving AWACs or by eyesight.
