If you're going to ask for allies, then be prepared for alot of advertising.
Here's my spiel-
If you're a new nation who wants to take to the international scene, but don't want to gte hassled by other noob(as opposed to new) nations, then come to the Desolated Lands- we have a strong anti-war policy and an organized infrastructure for regional politics.
All government forms are welcome.

Obviously, there are a lot of distinguished nations trying to convince you to join their pet project alliances/regions. Forget them! I can offer you something better! If you join the Unforgiven, I will give you candy! :P

Now for something completely different-
On the serious side, I can tell you that our region is small, young, and active. Since we are small and new, your nation will be able to participate at the highest levels simply by joining. We do not have much of a government yet (who bloody needs MORE people telling them what to do???), but we do have a rudimentary democracy. Regional policy is NON-BINDING, so if you think everyone is being stupid, you are perfectly within your rights to tell them to go fondle themselves.

We are also active. So active that you might think that we had no lives if you did not know better.

The BEST thing about this region is that there is no real pressure. Its basically a do-what-you-want region. If you want to work with the rest of it, cool. If not, cool. Whatever you decide, good luck to you!

Its true, im getting excellent funding, our region is also allied with other regions and i like it very much, i myself offer to support you once the money starts coming in, im also thinking of setting up a forum there(what do you think Itakeitall?)
Anyway, whatever you do, dont join the evil alliances such as the NOD or GODAD, The GDI is a good alliance, young as it is.

And aust and itakeitall stop moaning at each other, Aust, just cause a nation only has a few posts doesnt mean much, nations with 1000 posts can be n00bs, and young nations like this one havent had the time, if you are really so good aust youd have read the MODs thing as i have, about not angering people and being complimantary. And itakeitall ignorance is the key to success. No offence intended, sorry Musketoon for highjacking your thread.
