The Reyid (in Ryydra) relocation point was bustling with activity. There were almost no tanks as most of them were in Hattia. Civilian trucks would have to suffice for now. Men were filling sand bags, digging trenches and makeing other defenses.

In the interests of Communist unity, the Conductor of Communistn Likon, Scott Sandford has ordered 30,000 of the Elite Revolutionary Guard flown into Hallad to support the government.

Red Army On The Offensive

Dozens of transports moved across the green field of Erkshire. Following them were a mass of troops moving in unicine. On a civilian jeep General Yuri Kerensky looked out over the horizon. He could see the siluettes of men and tanks headed their way. Several lound booms sounded. They were followed by a wistling sound. Three creaters were dug into the ground.

The APC's sped up, toward the enemy. The brigades only tank moved in the back slowly. Aiden's Revenge, was the tanks name. It commemorated the loss of a famous tank commander who had been killed in the Hattian civil war.

More Explosions sounded, several transports were damaged, one detroyed. No survivors. The armoured beast of both sides caught up with each other. The NHO forces had 3 T-80's with them. The T-80's carefully took aim at the transposts that were letting men off on the move. It was difficult with all the point blank shooting.

Explosions were everyware. Kerensky's jeep had stopped half way there, Aiden's Revenge close to it. The smoke from ahead cleaer to reveal retreating troops and vehicles. The tank went fowrd to pick as many as it could fit up, and soon what was left of the brigade was running from the enemy forces.

The NHO is hereby recognised as the true government of Hallad. They are therefore invited to establish an embassy in Shildonia City so that closer ties may be developed between our nations.
In order to prevent hostile action being taken against the Halladian government, a flight of four F-52 Minotaurs and an E-3 Sentry have been sent to take up position near Halad. They will patrol for six hours before being relieved by another four Minotaurs and E-3. Each Minotaur carries 54 Phoenix missiles.

Formation of the True Directorate

Communists, Socialists, Capitolists all come out to support the northern cause. These three parties have merged to become the True Directorate. They promise to drive out the New Halladi Order and keep peace through Democracy and Socialism.

The True Directorate

The Socialist Federation of Free Pacific States, being a Democratically Socialist Nation (Liberally so, please note), has decided to support the True Directorate.

While we were originally planning on supporting the rebels, their last anti-democrocy statement has spurred us to believe that the current government of Hallad would be a better government.

We are currently consider troop amounts to send, but for now, you have our full military support.

OOC: How many troops should I be seending? 1,000? 10,000? 100,000? 1,000,000? Give me an estimate of how large a war you want to be fighting.

The Democratic Republic Of Chao Master will send in small crack infantry units of around 200 men each, to support the communist goverment.

In support of the True Directorate, Juumanistra is willing to send a large arms shipment, capable of outfitting several brigades of True Directorate infantry and armored forces:

15,000 H&K36Es, 4500 P90s, 2400 SPAS 12s, 1950 RDG-4 SAWs,1500 TOW2 launchers, 350 M224 mortars, 65M119A1 TOWs, 225 JBT-5 scout tanks, 75 JBT-7 seven medium tanks, and 175 Bradley IFVs.

In addition, the Juumanistran Third Expeditionary Force has been put alert for rapid deployment, should the north come under pressure.

Raised Militia

Today Red Army numbers soared as Militiamen rose up. The Militiamen, dubbed "Freedom Fighters" have boosted Red Army numbers to nearly ten million men. Unfortunatly for the Red Army the NHO has begun conscripting civilians.

The cabinet of the Nation of Wyke today issued the following statement.

We appeal to both parties in this conflict declare an immediate cease fire and seek a peaceful resolution of their differences through democratic means.
We strongly advise citizens of the Nation of Wyke against none-essential travel to the conflict zone.

The civilian aid committee of Wyke has pledged 20 medical personnel, 40 tonnes of relief supplies and placed two Airbus 320 on 12 hour standby. The civilian aid committee seeks assurances of safe passage from both parties in this conflict

On the contrary the Halladi elections ended a few days ago, and the outcome was a socialist victory.

FPS is hereby, through a Senate Majority, dispatching the following troops to aid the Halladian Government:

In any case, these troops will head off the one rebel assault group not currently being fought (the second to the left black arrow heading into Ryydra.

The red line of the eastern boarder is Hallads ONLY coastline.

Two Airbus 320s wearing the hastily painted livery of the civillian aid committee of Wyke head towards an airfield inside communist territory, (one that's a fair distance from the nearest military base if possible). However, this was no mission of mercy. Each aircraft was carrying 250 highly trained soldiers from the elite Durham Light Infantry division of the Shildonian Paratroop Regiment. Their orders: seize and hold the airport until reinforcements can arrive.
The reinforcements in question were about 90 minutes flying time behind the first assault wave and consisted of 4 Airbus A380s carrying 555 paratroopers each(although they would actually disembark on the ground rather than jumping out), and a further 3 A380s carrying a total of 9 Apache Longbows with suport staff and ordanace.

"Tower, we are a flight of two A380s carrying aid from the civillian aid committe of Wyke, requesting permission to land" The pilots of the two aircraft hoped that the darkness outside would hide the rather slapdash paintjob enough that noone would notice it was fake.

"This is New Dublin control. One moment A380s. Have you been issued a verification by the True Directorate? If not your people cannot leave the airfield. Otherwise you are clear to land."

News From the Front!

1000 Comrades from the British Communists have just arrived at the New Dublin airport. They are expected to be moving out in the mourning.

One Comrade General Kerensky has recently raised the 3rd Armoured Division.

A series of True Directorate victories have been scored and the NHO's fleet has been damaged severly, it has taken 75% cassualties.

The NHO's drive into the Halladrim has come to a standstil.

Every soldier wears special clothing designed to reduce their thermal signature, and an all black uniform with no unit or rank insignia.
Demolitions experts are sent to destroy communications systems, as well as any military aircraft stationed at New Dublin.
Other troops begin setting up 50 machine gun nests with interlocking arcs of fire to cover the main runway. Each machine gun nest is protected from small arms fire by sandbags.
Behind the ring of machine guns are 20 3 man teams equipped with Milan anti-tank rockets to defend against armoured vehicles.

That's assuming I don't have RADAR! Or lookout towers. Also, where in Hallad are you? The country is divided right now.

The Empire of Imperial Guardsmen has seen the Red Army of Hallad's strife to contain this rebellion. If it is requested we can send troops to help you. They are already mobilized as they are part of our standing army, they have moved to forward bases due to a molbilization of enemy forces that have since backed down. They can be landing in the Haradrim within 1 week (about a RL 10 mins) from when you invite us to help you.

The Forces will be the following:

188th Guards Tanks Regiment (120 GT-1 MBT's 200 Chariot Mk.1 IFV's, some mobile artillery)
3rd Guards Motor Infantry Regiment (12,000 combat troops in BMP-4's , T-90's and with Mi-24 Hind Gunships, artillery)

Several Large Dakaran Cargo planes land at a makeshift runway. Out of these cargo planes roll humvees and trucks, which immediately leave to set up MASH units a mere miles from the front(these four MASHs from west to east are D1,D2, D3, D4). The Dakaran peace keepers immediately begin to integrate themselves into the allied army. With these large cargo planes, a black heliocopter lands bearing the dakaran flag. When it lands Emperor Dak Apollyon the first himself steps out of the hatch, and begins looking for Derik connaly, as they have never met in person, and they have important things to discuss.

Read about the raid on Entebbe, which is quite similar to this attack, in which a group of Israeli commandos were able to land at a Ugandan military base unmolested and were able to rescue hostages before leaving. The principle is the same.

and how do you know my planes were flying low to avoid radar, flew over a blind spot, etc etc. even assuming that thats what my commander thinks, it could be wrong.

oh yeah i'm near the coast, just off it about 30-40 miles inland.

The jeeps set out at full speed due east for 20 or so miles, off the main routes to avoid enemy contact, but with minor brushes with patrols that were swiftly destroyed or retreated.

About 2 miles off an enemy garrison, the patrol stoped.

Get that mrls over here hopefully we'll be able to disable their comunnications before further contact.

Third Infantry Division Surrounds New Dublin Airport.

General Muhammed Abduhl-Ameen led the the Third Infantry Division. His men, numbering 25,000, quickly set up defenses. Dozens Mig-29's flew over head, taking shots into the airport. Comondered civilian vehicles were zooming back and fourth. Nearly a hundred expert snipers hid amoungst the roof tops.

As soon as the F-52s got within 50 miles of the airfield a barrage of Phoenix missiles were fired at the enemy Migs. Using a sophisticated data relay system, the Minotaurs were able to launch the missiles without activating their radar. Instead, the E-3 provided guidance up until 12 miles before impact, at which point the Phoenixs onboard radar activated. This onboard radar was connected to a system capable of calculating the speed of the target, and disregarding it if it is travelling at less than 75mph, thus making it impervious to low tech countermeasures such as chaff and flares.
As soon as the Migs are chased away the transports will begin landing, with priority being given to the planes carrying infantry.

A third wave of reinforcements is also on their way, this time carrying two batteries (a total of 8 vehicles) of Caeser howitzers, additional supplies for all the forces involved, an Artillery Locating Radar system, 1000 additional troops, and Rapier air defence systems. These will also be escorted in by a flight of 4 F-52s and an E-3, along with six Vulcan heavy bombers to provide CAS, and anti-radar missiles to fight their way towards New Dublin airfield. ETA 5 hours.

Civilian flights communicate with air traffic control in plain voice on open channels. Given my nations interest in the situation it is entirely reasonable for my Signals Intelligence capability to come into play. Signals Intelligence is the interception and analysis of radio traffic, not it decryption. My traffic was encrypted, as indicated by the enclosing quote, your fights traffic was not, as indicated by the situation.
The RedGuard are not your forces, you cannot decide that they where sleeping. You should have taken them into account in your plans, not made presumptions and not ignore them which is godmodding at it most extreme.
There is a world of difference between Entebbe and this scenario. At the Entebbe you had a a larger and superior Israeli force against a militia, highly motivated but still a militia. Entebbe proved that Israeli commando where amongst the best in the world, as indicated by follow up exchange/training programmes with German's K-9 and the British SAS. The readiness of PFLP cannot be compared to the readiness of RedGuards had already been described as Elite, and on alert because of a prior warning. Further attackers need a 4 to 1 advantage over defenders. In this scenario the defenders had the 4 to 1 advantage. Accept it your force would be massacred.

You where given a reasonable chance to correct your poor role-play but you seem to passed up the opportunity. I will therefore DEAL WITH IT, by ignoring you henceforth..

1. We didn't even know the Redguard where there when the mission was launched. In fact, the prescence of the Redguard only became known after we were given permission to land. Therefore there isn't much to do other than abort the mission, which would have looked suspicious and would have probably resulted in the two planes being shot down.
2. The Redguard aren't expecting an attack, but they are expecting to go into battle the next morning. This means most of them will be asleep unless they want to go into battle tired, and so with degraded performance. Besides, maybe they are waiting in the wings to try and retake the airport. If whoever it is who owns the Redguard comes back maybe they will.
3. I can round up a group of my friends and call it an elite fighting force. It doesn't mean we are.

The Imperial Guardsmen troops started landing on the beaches previously occupied by FPS soldiers as they landed.

The first troops to come ashore were the 3rd Guards Motor Infantry Regiment. Once they had landed they called for the transports to return to the ships and load up while they formed a secure beachhead.

Two hours later the majority of the 188th Guards Tanks were ashore, and beginning to move deeper into the beachhead.

Colonel-General Pushkin immeadiately got onto the radio to Hallad HQ to ask for instructions on his forces mission.

Unless BC returns to use the troops himself I will simply ignore his troops. If he couldn't be bothered to fight he shouldn't have gotten involved.

The General nodded, and the troop went running towards whatever post he was supposed to be at. Walking over to the mobile command post, he stepped inside, and looked at the status reports. Imperial Guardsman personell were landing on the already secured beach, and the remaining Halladi forces were taking up defensive positions.

Stepping across the room, he looked over a readiness report, which stated all forces were ready to move out. The problem being, the general wasn't sure where to go..he had gotten no advising communications from his nor the Hallad government.

The Shildonian Flying Corps. mounts a night-time air raid against the three Haladi Armoured Divisions. Each division is attacked by two Venona-class supersonic bombers carrying 80 Mk20 Rockeye anti-armour cluster bombs each, a total of 39,520 bomblets on each. The path towards the targets were cleared by Vampire class stealth bombers carrying 20 Tacit Rainbows and 15 Kryptons - both anti radar missiles with ranges of 50miles and 44miles respectively.

Meanwhile, engineers at New Dublin airfield have decided it is safe to land the largest aircraft in the Shildonian Flying Corps. inventory - the RT-1707 (http://www.bateshome.com/jordan/rt1707.gif).
Three of the aircraft are bringing in an additional 3000 troops, two aircraft are bringing in a total of 16 Challenger 2 MBTs. A final aircraft is bringing additional fuel and supplies, as well as a pair of Pathfinder minefield clearance units, four Combat Bulldozers to construct additional defences, and five Patriot SAM systems, with additional missiles. As usual, the cargo planes will be escorted to the airfield by 4 F-52s and an E-3

Before he left General Pushkin ordered for his troops to move out in support of FPS forces.

On Que the 3rd Guards Tanks began moving towards the front whilst the infantry mounted into their BMP-4s to begin their offensive.

Enemy aircraft were supposedly heading for the area of the airfield so General Pushkin ordered for his ungraded MIG-29's to be scrambled on an intercept. They were to be guided by a single AWAC's craft that was guarded by its own flight of MIGs.

In total 24 MIG-29s armed with Heat Seeking, GPS guided (they are programmed to fly to a specific place and then start hunting) and homing missiles are launched.

Three Phoenix missiles are launched at each Mig-29 from a range of 115miles. Twelve miles from the targets, the Phoenix's switch to their own active radar. Slow moving radar contacts such as chaff would automatically be disregarded by the onboard computers.

On the broader scale, FPS diplomats are hoping to meet with Shildonian diplomats and lower Halladian diplomats to discuss the posibilities of a surrendur/armistice/peace. While not supported by the main government of Hallad, FPS still thinks an end to this confrontation could be acheived through peace.

The Fascist government in the south of Hallad has begun to deteriorate, workers all over NHO territory rise up, taking cities, and counties. The result was a massive loss of territory for NHO forces, the fate of Hallad seems certain to the Red Army, and most Halladi Citizens.

The entire point of cluster bombs is that you don't have to see the target, you just drop them on roughly the area where the enemy is and then the sheer number of bomblets means massive casualties. Each Mk20 covers an area of 3,300sq yds, meaning the total area attacked was 528,000 sq yds for each division.

That's right, it's the size of a B-52 only it can carry air to air missiles, usually the Phoenix because of it's long range. The entire point of the F-52 is to carry out long range escort missions and destroy any enemy aircraft from long range.

FPS forces, under the command of General Konsun, have begun moving west to the first small cell of anti-Souther Halladi resistance (the red spot just to the left of the beaches). It is Konsun's hope that this cell will last long enough for FPS forces to reach it. Thus far, the FPS force is 30 miles from the beach head, and has encountered around 2000 civilians, and around 20 hostiles (some police officers, some armed civilians).

Thus far, no equitment has been damaged, though one troop had to be med-evaced to a nearby medical ship. Still no fatalities.

NHO Leader Seeks Shelter In Supporting Country
Message to allies:
"I fear the war is lost, I ask for refuge in one of your great countries. A small force and the rest of the Fascist Party will accompany me. Will any one be willing to take us in?"

Our only request is that the NHO be granted a place in a coalition government with the communists. This way a compromise can be worked out internally between the two sides without further bloodshed. It would also cancel out the most extreme viewpoints of each side to be cancelled out, creating a more stable government.

Four Vampire class stealth bombers carrying 20 Tacit Rainbows and 15 Kryptons attempt to clear a path towards the estimated position of the 1st Milita. Following a reasonable distance behind are four Venona class supersonic bombers carrying 45 CBU 75s each - a grand total of 324,000 1lb bomblets.
Another 4 Venona's with the same armament are sent to attack the other enemy position near New Dublin.
Another pair of Vampires set off to attempt to bomb bridges and other choke points that lie between the Imperial Guardsman troops position and New Dublin. Each carries 40 500lb JDAM bombs and each target is to be hit twice - once by each aircraft.

10 RT-1707s with a beefed up escort of six F-52s and an E-3 are sent to New Dublin to extract the troops, who before leaving lay Claymores around the perimeter of the airfield, and lay demolition charges in the fuel dump, set to go off after 90minutes after they leave.

The Blue army was pushing very hard towards the city but all knew that it was hopeless. They where to few and the enemy to many to make a real difference. They had taken down many of the enemy and even though they where beating the current army thewre was another one comeing over the ridge.

Farseer Stefan swore.
" I had sure reports that the enemy where weak in this position, Where did they all come from." He said getting worried, He had been told that the White army was heading their ay with full 1000,000 troops (not mine my allies) And had been hoping they would arrive sometime soon.
" Farseer the reports where accurate but when we got here the Red army had pushed them towards us cutting them off to their otherlands." said the scout who had returned saying that more forces where coming towards them.
" Leave me I need time." Stefan yelled taking a swipe at the scouts head while knowing he would miss.

Moskva Seized! The Civil War comes to an end.

The NHO Capitol has been seized! Lee Ivanov an other major NHO officials have been taken into custody. They will stand trial on counts of genocide. NHO forces have been integrated into the Red Army, and many have moved toward New Dublin. Hundreds of equipment has been taken back. Major Cities are flooded with Anti-Aircraft missile systems and flak canons. The first Militia has taken 4000 cassualties on the way to New Dublin, but have arrived. The 2nd Militia has also arrived.

General Pushkin returned to his mobile HQ with the lead elements of his forces as they drove into New Dublin from the South. In the lead were a company of T-90s with a battalion of Mechanized Infantry. The rest of 3rd Guards Tanks were strung out on the road leading to the capital with the new GT-1 MBT's coming up shortly. The rest of the units having been delayed by bridges being taken out.

FPS forces, thus far, been clearing a large area of NHO controlled area (the leftwards area towards the sea). Little to no resistance was encountered (or roleplayed), and those troops that are in the area have begun surrenduring.

General Konsun has been commended for his having taken around 50 miles of territory with very few casulties (3 dead, 17 wounded, one tank destroyed).

At any rate, FPS forces have moved into a coastal city, and are now occupying the area untill further instructions arrive from either the FPS government, or Halladi forces.

Seeing the situation stablise, Raginsheep have decided to withdraw all forces.

The True Directorate of Hallad demands Shildonian forces withdraw from Halladi territory. If they do not comply we will be forced to destroy them.

Message to the TD:

My tanks await your command to crush the resistance at the airfield. More of my men arrive every hour to strengthen my attack.

FPS, though still politically backing Hallad, is preparing to withdrawal. The city we secured already has a Halladi supported police force, so our point in staying is...non existant. If you wish to crush Shildonia, go ahead, but we see no reason this must happen.

We will only attack if they refuse to withdraw. Otherwise, there is no point in attacking.

Well, war's over. Hallad, FPS congradulates you on your winning, but also asks that you not overpunish, or kill, those men who surrendured.

That's it. We've pulled out, and are mourning the three men's deaths, but also celebrating.

FPS need not worry, soldiers will not be punished, but thier leaders are being tried in a court of law as we speak.
