An Arctic Dove

Zvarinograd

"Pacifism. A distant dream, perhaps, for a communist country?" The Premier paused, "For so long have we been branded a menace to the international community because our comrades would fight for their beliefs. Like a plague, some seek our ruin, even if we have never meant for conflict. Thus, the United Communist States of Zvarinograd will show to the world that communism never meant for war, by taking off active duty all military personnel, relaxing it's borders to the world, including those who actively seek the destruction of communism and ending all active participation in any conflict of any sort locally and internationally." The Premier raised his hands, "We will show the world that we can live harmoniously with other nations whose beliefs conflict our own, that communism is a dream for a classless society, not for death."

The crowd cheered the Premier, as he left the podium and the stage.

OOC:
My country will still send support towards Red Block Army comrades (mainly supplies, both medical and otherwise, as well as medical and technician teams), to live up my part in a defence alliance. Other than that, from here on, my military will no longer fight any battle.

If you're wondering about the title, it's because the United Communist States of Zvarinograd lies in the Arctic circle.

Iuthia commends your nations moves, if only more so called "communists" would stick closer to the actual meaning of the word people wouldn't think of "Stalin" when they hear about a communist nation. They would think of a socialists paradise, democracy for all and true equal rights.

Eitherway, our nation would like to offer our support in protecting your nation from any imperialist that may try and take advantage of this pacifism... for as long as your nation doesn't have a military, we will assist in your defence.

The world needs something to look forward to, I can only hope the dream your people will now live may be a dream we can all follow and no one will require protection... just to live in harmony.

Well done and good luck,

Kanabia

We congratulate Zvarinograd on it's noble decision to pursue a pacifistic policy. We have an active military force, but only use our military in defence (with only one minor engagement in the entire history of Kanabia as an independent nation), and have no NBC weapons.

If other nations would follow our example, we would be living in a much better and safer world.

The nation of Neo-Soviet Russia wishes Zvarinograd the best of luck. We are suprised a nation would choose to go pacifist but we also believe it is a sign of things to come. With that, the nation of Zvarinograd has the support of the USSNSR. If anything is ever needed, aid of any kind, let us know.
