Rotovian National News Break

Just hours ago President Dionysus refused to sign the recent Act of Parliment. Rotovian Law requires all Acts of Parliment be signed by the Monarch. However since no King or Queen has sat on the thrown in one hundred years the duty falls to the Crown Prince, President Baccheus. Thought this is mostly a cerinmonial action it is still required to officiate the Act.

How unfortunate that your president would betray his own people like that. One must wonder if he has let the elves poison his mind with honeyed words, and has become deaf to his own people's needs in turn. Perhaps new leaderships is in order, leadership that listens to its people.

The People of Rotovia are peaceful by nature and would not harm another without just cause. I assure no harm would come to any Elf within our borders. Thought they may not have rights under the Sentient Rights Act they are protected by Decree of Civil Conduct.

We are quite surprised at this reasonable and humane act by Rotovia's President-clearly, he understands the real ramifications of denying basic rights to a segment of his nation's people.
Given this show of human decency, we have to withdraw our previous comments-clearly, Prince Baccheus is a man of great moral fibre and intense courage.
One of the finest of all men, willing to go against the will of the slavering mob and stand up for what is Right, even when it is unpopular with his peers.

A surprised President CeleKorn is stumped as to why Rotovia's Prince would betray his Senate like this ,but nonetheless is very excited and emotional about this sudden change of heart and will supply military support if it comes to that. Hopefully there will be no civil war but if there is all Elves and Military / Government backing them will find safe haven in the RESF.

His Eminency will be forced to face the will of Senate in due course. However he is a member of the Baccheus Family and immune to prosecution. Only time will tell waht penality his actions will result in.

We dismiss this statement as a simple propeganda tool. A president's role is executive, and the senate is legislative. Under these circumstances, it is not the senate's role to interfere with the President. Why, if the senate could influence the President's desision, then why has the President got the authority to deny legislature.

We view the Senate with distaste, as it obviously wishes to underhand the Rotovian Constitution itself, the very tool which gives them power.

We are surprised by the comments made by Arila. We would have expected that he know better about the Austarian Political System. It is heavily based on the United States, and in the AU, the President cannot be impeached because he blocked one piece of legislature.

We have systems which the senate can overcome the President's desision. If the President refused to let legislature pass however, he may be impeached...

OOC: The feelings of Arilans are very strongly against elves. Religion can make even the most intelligent of people seem dumb and unreasonable, and at the moment, Arilans would just about say anything to prevent the elves in rotovia from gaining human rights.
Secondly, though beside the point of the arilan archbisshop, and not wanting to make this into a debate, since this is neither the place for it, nordo I have time for a discussion without ending and without any of the 2 sides changing their minds, I do not like the system of american politics ;-P

More interestingly though, between my post, and this reply, I noticed the announcement of an elven princess being proposed for marriage. AND GUESS WHAT ;-P 1 of the suitors is the president of rotovia. Seems like the journalist hit jackpot afterall, rofl :D

outside the court house as the President is leaving a young girl bumps into him sliping a note into his hand then running off into the crowd.

there is no signed name at the end and it is hand writen, as soon as the President had finished reading it the crubbled into dust.

A tall half-elven half-man stand outside the courtroom at the presidents limo. Using enhance mental abilities he relays a message from President CeleKorn of the RESF to the mind of Rotovia's president.
This situation is on the verge of war. If you want it, I can have a sizeable force inside your captiol to protect you and your supporters and I also have ways of getting you outside the country. If you agree say "Hell has no torture worse than an Elf scorned fury." ,if not just ignore this message and the messanger.

On televisions everywhere throughout Rotovia, whatever was on was interrupted by a forced broadcast by AU sattelites.

A masked man stands in front of the camera,
"This is a message to the President of Rotovia,

We are the Austarian Secret Service. We have several operatives already inside Rotovia. If you wish us to break you out of prison, and to be transported to...somehere safe, give us some kind of sign. That is all."

The Transmission ends, and television sets return to normal, displaying normal TV shows...

The President is ushered into his Limosine by his secuirty gaurds, but not before he shakes the hands of a few of his loyal supporters. As he finally enters the vehicle he opens a small peice of paper that was placed in his hand.

During th e next twenty minutes, en route to his private Estates, Dionysus does not say a word until they approach the Claudine Freeway.

President: "Driver, stop!"

Driver: "Yes sir"

President: "Take me to Cafe Vatel."

Driver: "I'm under strict instructions to take you home sir"

President: "It's been a long day Charles, just take me to damned restuarant please"

As the limo begins to turn the President removes and signs a document in his breifcase. Which he inserts into the incar-facsimile. Taking a long the draw of a cigarette, his first in twenty-three years...

the girl that ran into the president was sitting at a table outside she looked only 17 tho her hair was a different color and a few other differences, she looked round and saw the President limosine. the place was full of people but none took any notice of the president.

At a corner table, hidden in the shadows, three men sat there, waiting for any sign of the President. They were from the secret service, and had recieved intel that he may be meeting someone there, although it was not quite sure who. The three men were dressed like regular civillians, and wore dark sunglasses.

By now the President had the sense to change from his Armoni suit into plainer business attire and sat in the corner searching for his mystery contact.

President: "With all duty courtesy ma'am, the waiter just slipped a cyanide pill into my coffe. So perhaps leaaving might be the best choice of action...?"

He smiles as he lifts the cup to the waiter and pours it onto a potted plant.

Though it was more a statement than a question as he was already heading out the door as the words were spoken. Pressing a single key on his mobile* phone his limosine pulled up.

President: "Please, get in..."

she got in, as soon as they were both in and the limo set off (to what ever place the presidant wanted) 2 cars started to follow and he had the feeling more were around.

"as i was saying we are willing to get you out and help in anything you decided to do we can get you out with 1 hour and into our nation within 8" she sead looking at the bear bar grabing a cold one and drinking it.

"team one status?" she sead as if into thin air
"good teams 2 whats yours" she sead, seeing the puzzaled look on his face "there a comm link in my head as well as other things"
she carryed on talking to herself then looked back at him "so your answer?"

The three men continued to follow.
"Dont scare them," once of them said, "We dont want them thinking we're here to harm the President...

The driver pulled out a hangun, and shot the other two men before they could react. He put it away again, and the President's limo had seemed not to notice.

Without warning, the operative stepped on the gas pedal, and overtook the limo, pulling up next to it.

The President gave the operative a curious look before pouring himself a drink.

the two Cars that were following the limo speed up and smashed into the car that tryed to stop the limo the guys got out pulling out MP-5s and open fire on the car, the Limo was signaled to Drive ahead 2 more cars came out of now were and took up postions one in front and one behind.

"well thats that then sir DRIVER go here" she handed him a note "and for gods sake dont stop for no one ok"
she looked back at the presidant "hay dont worry this is nothing anyway we're getting you out via air lift dont worry, the copptor has diplomatic cover its in the embacary of CorpSac, the chopper will take you to a small town outside our borders in one of our Regions She'Klan Region, from there its simple we take you to the empiress and the rest is up to you."

15 minates later they were speeding into the Grounds and the Presidant was taken into the chopper. the girl got in next to him as well as 2 of the guards that were with her.

"its only a 90 minate ride we're goin to have a escort" she shouted over the noise "i hope you like to fly" she sead with a smile

Forgive me if my knowledge on law is painfully inaccurate, but I'm going sporadically on what little I know.

If one is been tried for treason, then there is no jury. They would face a panel of judges, as it is a federal crime.

What I really would of thought is that you didn’t take into account the consequences of your actions until now.

But, in light of your plan... Creating a decoy of a person who is often seen in public and has a number of specific personality traits that would be known only by those who were close to the president (Thus impossible to falsely replicate) would be a grand feat indeed.

An Aust spy, seeing the act of violance in the Aulster Unions car, lept onto his Moter bike and began to follow, the Ducatty sped through the streets as he closed upon the two limos. As he drove skillfully he spoke into a mike signally Red Alert, 12 other opretives immediatly began to move towards his tracker. The 1st spy pulled out a Z98 standered issue for Aust spys, a small descreat hand gun, taking carfull aim he fired upon the wheels of the Auster Union car hitting one of the wheels and causing it to swerve off the road.

Not aware of the Presidents attempted flight, the arilan emissary on the elven rights issue went to congratulate Senator [OOC:Rotovia pls supply a name ;-)] on the succesfull detention of the traitor. IC: As the corpsac units move to capture the special ops units , they are forced to retreat. A few fall behind and drink thier poison incase of capture. The poison will induce them into an unreversable coma unless brought back within thier borders. Apon caputreing the Comatosed Elves the Stigmata take them to an unknown location, were Psi ops probe there minds and the Dark Elves Mages get to work.

An Aust spy stood outside the door listening to the conversation inside, it had taken him a long time to get inside and he had had to use all the freinds he had inside CorpSac to find out the presdent was their. For a breif moment he turned his cam-foil off to place a bug on the wall and to begin transmitting his information, "This is Agent C99, the presdent is located and bug placed, shall transmit further info, place C group outside gates to find keep track, will transmit further observations, a servant walked around a corner and saw him.
