Due to a higher than usual amount of toe jam consumption this year, a high number of Iconius gluttonius worms have invaded the soil of Albertoba. To the chagrin of farmers everywhere these worms have COMPLETELY DESTROYED THE NATIONS BROCCOLLI RESERVES. The nation of Albertoba is facing a crisis the likes of which it has never seen, as riots have begun to form in the streets, protesting the lack of tasty greens. Attempts to pacify the citizens with rutabagas, caulliflower and grenades have met with some success, but the government's authoritarian control is slipping.
Albertoba is therefore requesting emergency food supplies of broccoli from other nations in an attempt to curtail disaster.
