Today The Commonwealth of Platonic is proud to announce their latest break throughs in science!
Topping the mark are some amazing developments in genetic design and
engineering. Currently Platonic's scientists have managed to bring back 4
species of extinct tree's, 9 flower plants, 23 insects, 2 birds, 4 reptiles,
and finally the long extinct feathered otter, a close relative of of Platonic's
national animal.
A lot of these changes have also lead to research in genetically engineered
anti-viruses and vaccines. As well as other types of health care so far these expirements have been very successful and it is widely believed the the future of genetic engineering in Platonic is very strong indeed.
Space travel has also seen some large developments with Platonic finally sending humans into space for both short and long term flights. According to sources within the Platonic space program a planet landing and soon after colonization are in the future. Platonic would like to extend a thank you to the Spacer Guilds, by working a trade agreement with them Platonic was able to push ahead with their space plans at a much faster rate.
Platonic has also been doing some limited research into cold fusion technology, unfortunately these expirements, although technically successful are still running into the age old issue of efficiency. Scientists are unsure of if it will be at all possible to make cold fusion efficient enough to be a usuable technology, but they are optimistic that given enough time they will get there.
